Guyssssss it was SO clear she woke up and went to bed alone. Er - I mean - with the cat. YIKES.

I’m all for self care. It’s important. But the amount of time she spends on herself every day is ASTOUNDING and in my opinion, obsessive. As a mom there is no way I’m getting privacy to meditate, have ritualistic tea, bathe AND shower, elaborate skin care routine morning and night, workout, do actual “job” work, and make “healthy” meals. I’m sorry, something is just FISHY. Either she’s lying about being able to do that with all the kids, or they are so used to being ignored that they don’t even bother to interrupt her anymore, which is sad. It’s like they know they will either get in trouble or be ignored, so they don’t even bother asking for their mom?

Also laughed at her freebies. Sis thinks she’s really doing us a favor with FREE printable. Bish you’ve tried to monetize everything from meal plans to workouts to sleep training guides and nobody WANTS to pay you. It has to be a “freebie”

Someone mentioned she’d scrubbed her channel. I went to look and she sure did! Some weird stuff though. Anything about her wedding, how we met, etc is gone. But all of her infertility stuff with Dan - including ones about them as a couple - are still up. And her SiL doula video is still up.

It’s so clear they are divorcing. Idk why she won’t just be honest.

Yeah no sympathy here either. Address it properly and move on. Part and parcel of being on YouTube. It always has been an Elle channel but she needed Dan and the kids to draw the viewers in. They loved them. She's been fine to make money off marital home all these years. It's just sensible to address the fact that Dan, who bought the house doesn't live there anymore. I really don't envy these Youtubers because there are blurred lines when you are making a business out of your life. Even when Elle said she's not vlogging her kids and Dan anymore, her topical videos is still about her life. Questions will be asked regardless.

Also - random thought as I saw her skinny-fat jowels, clenched jaw and wrinkles, angry resting bitch face and fake smile in yesterday’s video...

Elle really doesn’t get that one of the things that makes women have real, lasting beauty - even as they age - comes from within. A warm heart, genuine smile, and “effortless” attitude is what makes timeless beauty! A complicated beauty routine, injections, angry heart, fake smile.... it all comes across and makes her look bitchy, tired, and honestly, pretty pathetic. Taking care of yourself is good, but obsessing about it and obsessing about aging just makes you look even older.

She's not hiding anything but puts on a wedding ring for an Instagram photo to throw the scent off.

She's also afraid of the backlash because her long time viewers saw Dan as good catch, good provider, good father whom Elle publicly declared she was hesitant to marry and wanted to divorce as well in the past. I wish I can watch that car marriage video as I could not care less to watch it when it came out.

That response speaks volumes to me. Dan is gone and she’s just navigating how to tell people. I hope when she does, she is honest. She doesn’t necessarily have to discuss who “left” who or whatever. But I hope if she does, she is honest.
The posters knew Jennifer Ross was getting divorced even before she knew it. Guess what? They were right.
I certainly wasn’t the very first one, but I remember bringing it up a while ago that it looked like dan was gone, and then Elle started slipping out more clues.
For now, that response was satisfying to me and said everything I needed to know. I’ll patiently wait for the divorce announcement.

I agree. She basically said “yes dan is gone, I’m just deciding which details are ok to share” which is perfectly acceptable, however, still weird that she puts her wedding ring on randomly. I think that may be because they are just separated and she hasn’t fully come to terms with the finality of it. As the year progresses and she gains footing in her new “single” status, she will likely stop wearing the ring permanently. I imagine it’s just one of the stages a person goes through, like the stages of grief.

It's got to be incredibly embarrassing for her. Those videos she took down where she admitted and listed the things she hated about Dan, or made her un-attracted to him, she knows people remember those. Those things should've been deal breakers when they were dating but she pushed through because he was going to make good money and bought a sweet ass house. Now she's finally had enough of his nerdy self and realizes she lied about how great the marriage had become after the last rough patch. Which needless to say is really sad for Dan. I totally get how that would be super embarrassing.. and yea, there will probably be some negative comments about it when she releases her video that will most likely get a LOT of views. But she chooses to share anyway because it helps her pay some bills.. kind of a vicious cycle she is trapped in!

I had a random thought: I know Elle wanted her kids close in age, but she claimed they were TTC their third when Cohen was well under a year old. Maybe Elle wanted another baby so quickly because she knew she wanted to get out of the marriage, but needed to get her girl/third child first? So she was just using Dan. I mean, I guess she was using him the whole time to some extent, but I think there came a point where instead of trying to work on the relationship, she decided to just do things for herself and then discard him as soon as she could.

I think Elle was lying to herself their entire marriage. She didn’t actually like him. She learned to love him because he’s the father of her children, but she didn’t want to be with him. She was only with him because she thought it was what she had to do. She was getting older and needed to settle down. He was a really nice, caring guy who made a lot of money. Just what she needed.
Were you able to catch the video on their marriage before she deleted them? She never wanted to marry him. She just had to.

I don’t think she was trying to con him, I just think she doesn’t know how to have a relationship without being selfish (aka - narcissist). From day 1 she was thinking about what she could GET from Dan, not about building a healthy marriage.

Old friends of mine know Dans family (but not Dan & Elle specifically). I haven’t talked to them in forever (I moved the the US) but years ago they told me that his family has always been suspicious of Elle and her motivations. Dan is responsible and had a chunk of cash before they married, so his family has always worried he’d be a target for someone unscrupulous. Idk how they feel now, though.

My heart hurts for Dan. Like when she surprised him at his clinic when she found out she was pregnant with B. He held her and was wanting a serious smooch but Elle stiffened up like a board and pulled away. He was making deep eye contact with her and she pushed him away. His face said it all. Terrible to do that to a man you practically was pushy with to conceive for a third child. He was never apart of that equation! I think he knew that and was perhaps hopeful a third child would heal the rift.
Now to lose all he's worked for is devastating AND one day she'll have to answer for it.
