Has anyone watched their vlog from today? They were asking their daughter how she thought about gay marriage and at first she said it would be weird, but if they wanted to marry it would be okay. Did Sam and Nia seem very put off by her answers, or was it just me? It seemed like they wanted her to be against it. I get that they are very religious and are allowed to have their own opinions on it. I even understand (although do not agree with) the fact that they might want to push their religion on their children. However, I feel like they have gone too far this time. Am I the only one that thinks so?

Just watched it and wow. I can respect people having different opinions even if I do disagree 100% but that reaction was just... disgusting. Hopefully their kids grow up to be more open minded.

That's the sad thing, even though she thought it was weird she was okay with it I am willing to bet once the camera was off they drilled it into her it wasn't okay. I think they wouldn't have gotten as much grief if Sam didn't state over and over that it "backfired".

I honestly hope their kids don't turn out to be gay knowing they have these views. This is really true of any parents that are against gay marriage. I respect other's opinions but it makes me so sad when people with small children say they're against LGBT rights because you never know what the kids will be like when they're older. Of course Symphony thought the idea was "weird," she's never been exposed to anything other than straight relationships. How strange that they were upset when she said that's it's okay if they want to, and praised her when she said it was weird. Nia was so passive during the whole thing. I feel like when the camera was turned off they sat her down and told her that being gay was not okay.

Did they really make the video private? I watched it not 5 minutes ago when I saw you guys talking about it... glad I saw it when I did

All 3 of their reactions show that people (children in particular) are inherently open and accepting and that hatred and prejudice are taught. It reminds me of the scene in the movie 42 where the crowd of white people are yelling racial slurs at Jackie Robinson and the little boy isn't so sure at first but then he joins in and assumes it's okay because the other adults, including his father, are doing it. It's completely fine to have a different opinion, but I'm not too keen on the way they went about it. I wasn't able to see the video before it was privates, but from what you all have described here, I agree that they probably drilled it into her that it's bad after the camera was off. That makes me sad.

I have a feeling Sam will address the backlash in another vlog and try to cover his ass like he did that other time about the dad thing.

I agree. They're only doing it to save face. I don't believe them for a second.

Jesus and Symphony love everyone, Nia maybe, but Sam definitely not.

We should send this video to the Philip DiFranco show so he can make them douche bags of the day! I can see the headline.... (viral good looking frozen parents brainwash preschooler to be homophobic). He has posted about similar instances regarding other YouTubers over the years.

There's a petition to get them dropped from NatureBox. They are all about the money with this YouTube thing...this is going to crush them. I love it! Sam's dreams of leaving nursing are probably looking a little dim tonight.
