Re: Samika? Part 1
Yes, this. It feels like they do nothing. Sam just plays around with his friends like he's a single guy. Jared and Ellie seem to put effort into the youtubing as a career. Jared is always having meetings and stuff. Why in world would Sam and Jennika quit before they even have a large number of subscribers?
Re: Samika? Part 1
Jen is essentially living in a frat house with her almost 30 year old husband. He's like 27, not 20 like some of the guys he hangs out with. You have a baby and a wife. Please grow up.

They've mentioned before that it took him a longer to graduate and now j see why. Not that's it's bad to take a little longer than average to graduate, but with Sam it's because he lacks any focus. He wants things now and fast and takes the easiest route to get there. He doesn't really want to work that hard. He doesn't think before he acts. Poor Jennika and Noah are just alone for the ride while this manchild is still figuring out what he wants. He shouldn't have gotten married so soon. They got married while still in college and I don't even think they had been dating more than a year

And Sam seems to want another baby which is funny, because I really don't think he spends a ton of time with Noah. I think he just wants more people to play video games with!rdt1004 wrote:They've mentioned before that it took him a longer to graduate and now j see why. Cause new baby means views! And Jen just wants another baby cause her religion says she should and cause everyone else are having babies. I think they would have such a hard time with another. Jen would have to take care of both of them by herself most of the time cause Sam seems like he can't be bothered. I feel like the only time he ever spends with Noah is when they're playing. Which is fine, but I don't think he does much else. And who knows how long he plays with him, it could be just for those little segments he puts in the vlog.usmelllikesnow wrote:And Sam seems to want another baby which is funny, because I really don't think he spends a ton of time with Noah. Re: Samika? Part 1
Anybody know what the deal is with his sister in NYC? If I remember correctly she has two or three kids, but I have never seen a husband. Surely she is married. Are Mormons allowed to divorce?

He's often in vlogs on her channel. I unsubbed from her quite a while ago so I don't know how often he's in them still but I went and looked at the moving vlogs and he was in there.usmelllikesnow wrote:Anybody know what the deal is with his sister in NYC? Re: Samika? Part 1
I agree that Sam should have waited to get married. I would say Austin Null too. Seems like they both got married because it's what they were expected to do. I feel bad for Jenn sometimes because it seems like she doesn't have much support. She was super excited for her cousin and brother to move to SLC but shortly after, they moved back to Logan. She has friends, but they don't seem super close. Sam is always out doing something with the guys and she's home with Noah. They rarely go out together without the baby. It seems like they spent more time together when he was working his regular job. I can only imagine how that make her feel.

Samika? Part 1
I was just watching their proposal story video again and at the end Jen mentions that Sam's mom told her that a week before he proposed he was telling her about how he wanted to stay single and just be with his friends for longer. Then out of nowhere he proposed. Sam seemed kinda surprised his mom had told her that. Jennika seemed naive enough to be happy about that though cause in her mind it meant "oh he changed his mind cause he loves me so much." I would question my engagement if I found out a week before that my fiancé was second guessing and didn't want to be with me. I just keep thinking about how they were married while in college, which I guess isn't too uncommon these days. At least at their school and area it wasn't. And we're expecting a baby before graduating and getting jobs. It's just insane to me.Lovethesnark wrote:I agree that Sam should have waited to get married. I would say Austin Null too. Oh wow.. I wouldn't have married him. I hope he matures a bit. She seems like a nice girl. She deserves better.rdt1004 wrote:I was just watching their proposal story video again and at the end Jen mentions that Sam's mom told her that a week before he proposed he was telling her about how he wanted to stay single and just be with his friends for longer. Re: Samika? Part 1
Wow. I hadn't heard that story before. Personally I'd want my SO to be 100% and not propose if that was the case. What exactly is the reason for Mormons marrying so young? Is it just the idea of the perfect family and numerous kids?

Re: Samika? Part 1
Double post but the.germaphobe in me cringed hardcore when they were playing in that lake thing with Noah. Pretty sure he had his mouth open at one point too. That water looked disgusting. I have two lakes/beaches on either side of my hometown with a channel (canal as tourists call it) connecting them which you can float down. So maybe I'm just used to our water here but it just didn't seem clean enough for a baby in my opinion.

Ew have they not heard about the boy who got a brain eating amoeba from a lake? I'm sure they don't want gross lake water in their mouths, maybe try and keep it out of your baby's mouth too.genericusername wrote:Double post but the.germaphobe in me cringed hardcore when they were playing in that lake thing with Noah. Lakes can be clean. Coming from Michigan swimming in lakes is what we do. They are in New York though. Don't get me wrong we have dirty lakes but most are clean.

WOW. I did not know that. Not sure I would have married him at that point. Obviously what he said is playing out in their marriage.....rdt1004 wrote: I was just watching their proposal story video again and at the end Jen mentions that Sam's mom told her that a week before he proposed he was telling her about how he wanted to stay single and just be with his friends for longer. He's a VP for General Motors I think so he probably works long hours. He was with them on the 4th of July, though.usmelllikesnow wrote:Ok, he must have been out of town when Sam visited NYC.genericusername wrote:He's often in vlogs on her channel. Re: Samika? Part 1
I don't get how they could be married after only being together not even a year.
I'm not saying people don't make it work, but I just find it odd. There's so much to learn about someone and time to spend together, why is there a rush to get an official paper and ceremony for it?
I've been with my boyfriend for 2 years now, and even if we were in our 20s+ I really couldn't understand how people just get married so quick. A year is so fast.

Re: Samika? Part 1
I think if they weren't Mormons they would've been divorced by now or wouldn't have gotten married at all. It's like these young Mormon couples don't allow themselves to have long term relationships that don't end in marriage. They date a little in groups then once they get in a serious long term relationship it's pretty much guaranteed they're going to marry that person. It's almost like the Duggars and their "courting" except not as extreme.
