I knew a few 13 year olds who worked, but it was to learn about working or buy special items, not to spend it on a desk/necessities. She has to share a bed with not the easiest child. And Shari is better to eve than their own mother. Also it's pretty unfair of ruby to say, pay for your own desk and have Eve share it with you.

Also, she is so money cautious, but she spends all this money for home schooling :?. She can send them to school and get a free education. I agree with whomever said it's for views.
I know the room is small but I would try to get a trundle or twin beds!! I don't like them sleeping together every night.

I don't understand why Ruby waited until the end of the summer for swim lessons. Cleary the kids needed this earlier on as Ruby stated she'd never seen the older girls even jump in to the water before and Russell is hugely afraid of swimming. They won't have time to practice any swim skills the rest of the summer so it's not like they are going to retain anything. No wonder Abby and Julie still can't swim even with 3 summers of lessons. And Chad had trouble swimming as well at his merit badge class and was the only one who couldn't keep up. In my opinion, swim lessons are vital and necessary. Ruby really dropped the ball, probably because she always went with the cheap end of summer lessons instead of investing properly in full time lessons at the beginning of summer.

Also looks like Russell was one of the only kids not in proper cleats or shin guards for soccer. Way to go Ruby!

I still just can't get over these sleeping arrangements. Absolutely ridiculous. None of them look comfortable.

And don't even get me started on the kids behavior today at IKEA and Ruby just ignored it and vlogged away.

The IKEA "episode" was infuriating.

* why does Ruby only have one mildewed shirt to wear? If it smelled disgusting, why didn't she forgo the useless ikea trip to redo her moldy laundry?

* given that Eve has a penchant for peeing in closets and pooping under Christmas trees, why does Ruby leave it to Shari to deal with Eve in the morning? Ruby was supposedly up reading scriptures for an hour. Why couldn't she have woken Eve up, taken her to the bathroom, and put some underwear on her as well as fixing her hair?

* I would have been horrified if my kids acted that way in public. Russel's screeching was maddening, but Ruby allowed Chad to run across the store, lumbering into and in front of people as he did. Ruby did not apologize to those people and she didn't make him do it either. I guarantee she ordered them to ham it up for the camera and then things got out of control. She should have been asked to put her camera away and leave the store.

* there is something so creepy about the male swim instructor's face and voice. It gives me serial killer vibes. Also, the swimming lessons seem the most basic of basic. Couldn't Ruby have taught her kids how to do these basic things herself when the kids were Eve's age?

Only a very special woman could raise six kids properly and Ruby doesn't even come close.

I'm convinced that the comments section consists of 95% kids under 10 years old and the rest sound like paid infomercial comments submitted by people who do not speak English as a first language.

Is Shari wearing her normal clothes to sleep because she doesn't have PJs? Or at least more than one set for when the other is being washed?

Ruby, please tell me why it's so funny that your daughter was sleeping on the floor in her own room. Get your kids their own damn beds.

I'm wayyyy behind on my vlog watching, so I just watched the baby food challenge one. I thought it was cute! Kinda wanna do it with my almost 5-year-old because I know he'd be way dramatic about it!

Ruby is such a moron. The part of the vlog with Julie sleeping on the floor was absolutely ridiculous. Get them their own beds! I understand wanting to live a simple life, but your 6 children shouldn't have to suffer with their basic needs. Also that ikea scene... you know those people in line were side-eyeing. It's not cute or funny to stand there and say "well at least no one got lost!" I bet Ruby wouldn't be carefree about their behavior if they had broken any furniture and she had to pay for it (or make her kid pay for it).

Double post, sorry! I also thought it was dumb of her to tell Russell to "do everything your swim teacher tells you to, even if it is scary!" why would you want your child to be scared? That's how you get your kids to shut down. Why can't Russell learn at his own pace?

That bugged me as well, plus everything was mentioned above.
That's a contradiction with her preference of her children to be "leaders" and to teaching them "leadership" skills.

She is the type of mom that when she says jump her kids should ask how high.
I would want my kid, if I will ever have one, to question everything I/others tell him/her to do and not just follow orders.
