Thanks for the clarification on them mentioning the debt. I’m not surprised that they have the debt, it was just stated in a such a factual way here I was curious whether it was verified from videos. It sounds like it has been.

Re: Steps to wander: Steps to having your parents pay for a
Interesting that they’re finally addressing their student loans and credit card debt. Corbin said something along the lines of their credit card payment depends on what they want to pay off that month. Um, that’s not how you should responsibly use a credit card. Use the card to get the perks and to build your credit score, but pay it off in full every month. Don’t use it to spend money you don’t have.
I am willing to bet that June is on Medicaid. These are the last people on the planet who should be buying a house. They need to move in with his parents full-time, get real jobs, and put as much as they can towards getting out from under their credit card debt and student loans. If they’re spending at least $1,000 a month on the road, that’s $1,000 they could be putting towards paying off their debt. If they’re making the minimum payments every month, they’re never going to get ahead of it.
I’ve said this a million times, but the fact that two healthy, able-bodied adults with college degrees refuse to work is shameful. They don’t want to put in the work or save money, but they want the stay-at-home parent lifestyle, the big house, the fancy furniture, the opportunity to travel, etc. They are so behind their peers who have been working on their careers, saving their money, planning for their futures, etc.

Struggling... the heat, setting up camp everyday, keeping the dog and June separated and keeping the RV tidy. Are you kidding me???? I’m sure if the heat was so bad, they could find free campsites somewhere cooler. That’s ridiculous. They said they stay in the RV from 1-7 because it’s so hot and they run the AC during that time. They want to stay there 2 weeks. WHY????
They put the dog outside to keep him away from June. Poor dog, if it’s that hot why do that? Kelsey said it’s stressful having to watch them all the time. The RV is messy because it’s a small space and they are stuck in there pretty much all the time.
These two are just lazy. Corbin feels so much better being on the road. They aren’t exploring anywhere by the looks and sound of it just staying in the RV all day.
This whole thing is boring. Last theee vlogs haven’t really shown them doing anything, so now we know why...they aren’t doing anything!

I feel bad for Paris. If it's really that bad with June they should seriously consider leaving Paris at home with family or not traveling anymore. Chaining Paris outside alone would make me nervous. Paris is a little dog and coyotes or other predators could easily kill him in the blink of an eye. I wonder if they travel with a gun?
They are such whiners. "Boohoo, it's too hot all day. We have to stay in the RV all day." Um, well, that's your choice. You can literally MOVE your "home" somewhere cooler if you want. What are they going to do when it gets too cold? Whine more? YEP!
Also, what's the point of being in a place like Moab and just sitting in the RV all day? Have they done any hikes? Driven around to see some scenery? So far it sounds like the most they've done is eat at a restaurant, but they didn't even vlog that. They are getting pretty lazy with the vlogs.
I think their biggest problem is they have so much competition on YT these days. I've discovered a lot more travel vloggers with MUCH better content and WAY better personalities than C&K.

I hope they are paying their taxes, but they aren’t making much, so who knows how much they owe.ewokfan11 wrote:I brought up the tax issue because I do a lot of freelance work (aside from my regular job), and I know I need to set aside a certain amount because as a freelancer you HAVE to pay your taxes yourself. I am sure I am missing something, but they never mentioned taxes.
Corbin and Kelsey are 100% self-employed, so all their income—YT AdSense, brand deals, sponsorships and even PR gifts—is subject to taxation.
A lot of YTers have accountants because it gets complicated. I hope C&K are being responsible and not just ignoring it and not filing their taxes to pretend taxes don't apply to them.

Wow I was watching the Emmys and a T Mobile came on and it was the Bucket List Family. Youtube creators like the Lannings, Corbin and Kelsey have got to be jealous! That’s a national commercial on the Emmys! To get something like that is huge. I like them, real travel bloggers that put out quality. They had a ton of money before so they don’t depend on YouTube. Actually have done something education wise.

The Bucket List Family is sort of odd. They were extremely rich and well connected even before they started YT. I saw they are paid about $23,000 per IG ad post. Even from the beginning their free hotel stays were Four Seasons, St. Regis and ultra-luxe everything. I do see why advertiser LOVE them. A racially diverse family with two hot parents and three super cute kids.janem wrote:Wow I was watching the Emmys and a T Mobile came on and it was the Bucket List Family. To be honest, I don't really like them. They don't seem to be very honest about their lives and all the $$$$ and ALL THE FREEBIES they get. The husband has said they were going to be a "brand" from the beginning. I think that's a bit sad. Making your family a business and a brand is sort of gross. All of these family vloggers are gross in my opinion.
Kelsey and Corbin are of course jealous of the Bucket List family, but should they be? Maybe they need to find their own real life LIFE.

Thank you. I don't understand the idea of putting your family on the internet for money. When my kids were little, the whole idea was to minimize their online presence for their own safety. Now little kids have social media accounts. And parents put them on the internet when they're still in the womb. For money. And when YouTube changes, (it already has) and the money dries up, what's going to happen to these families?ewokfan11 wrote:The Bucket List Family is sort of odd. And what makes anyone think people are interested in their grocery "hauls"?
Sorry for the rant. This whole thing just really amazes me. The idea that so many people see nothing wrong with living off their kids and creating this often fake happy family persona to live a lifestyle most don't have the skills or education to accomplish otherwise, and not really work to support their family, just makes me sad. And so many kids who have perfectly good parents who do work hard, buy into the fantasy and worship these families.

It's even worse that people like C&K seem to live paycheck to paycheck. Where's June's cut of the income?? She's the only reason they have viewers and get family-oriented brand deals. I hope I'm wrong, but I'm guessing they haven't saved a CENT for her future. If my parents had exploited me as a child I would sure as heck hope to at least get a free college education out of it. There really should be laws to protect kids online. There's a reason child actors have laws that protect them from greedy parents.lmmomSD wrote:Sorry for the rant. Re: Steps to wander: Steps to having your parents pay for a
I'm not sure why it's such a terrible thing that June is on Medicaid. I'm sure their income falls within the cuts offs and it gives them zero excuses to get her medical care if she needs it. In GA pretty much EVERY child from birth to 5 years (with options to stay on it until they are 18 with tighter restrictions) is on state funded insurance. The income cut off is pretty high for a family of 3, and even if you have higher income that just means you pay a small monthly premium (last i knew the max you would pay is $20 a month premium) and you have zero deductibles, zero copay and the most i ever paid for medications was $2-3, most of them free or around 50 cents). If they are able to use these resources then they absolutely should, and shouldn't be shamed for it. Our medical/insurance situation in the US is a clusterfuck, anyone who can benefit from free or low cost health care plans should absolutely take advantage of it.

Re: Steps to wander: Steps to having your parents pay for a
I agree our healthcare system is severely messed up and it is great June is covered. I think the issue here is that they are both able bodied adults, capable enough (and supposedly educated enough) of having legitimate jobs that would provide insurance coverage for June. They are using government assistance because they’re too lazy to be productive members of society. I’m all for people using government assistance when necessary, but these two seem to have just taken the easy way out so that they could continue living in their little fantasy ~van life~ world.Playsinrain wrote:I'm not sure why it's such a terrible thing that June is on Medicaid. P.S. can Medicaid be used for naturopaths/other woo “medical” care? Or would they need to have her see a legitimate physician to be covered?

In Idaho, the income cut off for a family of 3 is just under $3300 gross. So they must be making less than $40K a year before taxes. That's not much for a family of 3.Playsinrain wrote:I'm not sure why it's such a terrible thing that June is on Medicaid. The laws haven't caught up with technology. And probably won't until one of these kids sees the light and sues his/her parents for what they should have set aside for them.ewokfan11 wrote:It's even worse that people like C&K seem to live paycheck to paycheck. I’m going to bet they do set aside for June. I have seen others to it too. I remember Snowflakeforest Posted on IG how thankful she was using YouTube money put in accounts for Lucas and Cindal. Parents opening saving for babies is like parent 101 everyone knows how important that is to do for their future.

Well, just because they could do it doesn't mean they do. They seem pretty broke, and I'm sure their priority is paying off their bills and debt. They are technically homeless at the moment, so I'm guessing June's college fund is not where their money is going.Starshine16 wrote:I’m going to bet they do set aside for June. SnowflakeForest has a tiny audience and almost no views, so she might make $100 every couple months or even just once a year (I'm surprised she makes anything after they demonetized smaller channels) and use that as savings for the kids. Corbin and Kelsey have made this a FT job, so it's a little different than a hobby that makes some pocket change.
