So why does Gaines need Pediasure? Is it because she doesn't eat healthy foods? I'm not a parent and I don't know how that works.


Also knowing that they drink, a lot, I don't believe that Katie didn't buy any alcohol in that shopping spree.

Apparently Gaines “needs” Pediasure because she’s a picky eater. Bullshit. They feed her foods devoid of nutrients. Then give her a drink that’s the equivalent of a chemical shitstorm to balance it all out. No kid needs those drinks. It’s a marketing gimmick to keep parents buying when their kids outgrow formula. And it’s easier for lazy parents to give these drinks and convince themselves they are taking care of their child’s health then to actually prepare and serve healthy balanced meals. Lazy Cullen and Katie strike again!

I’d love to see their booze haul. Lol. But They’d never do that. I’m sure it’s more than they budget for the entertainment envelope! Lol

Thanks for the info! I guess I now have 2 questions:

1) Brooks and Gaines eat the same meals- so why would he not "need" it too?
2)I wonder if the doctor told them Gaines was under weight etc and that's why they started buying it?

I have a feeling Gaines is extremely malnourished and possibly anemic! Back in the fall Katie shared taking her to the Dr and finding out some stuff but didn't want to share it because it was personal. She said Gaines was not acting herself and was lacking energy. Well that is what happens when all you eat is cheese and noodles! Katie probably told the Dr that Gaines is so picky and they have tried to give her nutrient rich foods. Which is a lie, they are just lazy so they went the pediasure route. Which is crazy because they were all about breast feeding and then baby led weaning to only give their 5 year old formula in toddler form?

An easy way to get protein into kids is with beans and lentils. I make rice (real rice Katie not instant microwave rice ) and mix in fresh salsa, black beans some chicken and cheese. My 2 and 4 year old eat that no problem we call it cheesy rice. They also make pasta that is made from beans and vegetables. Chicken nuggets that have vegetables in them even.

There are a ton of alternatives for them to try that are similar to all of their microwave junk that has some veggies mixed in.

They are so lazy it is insane, I also think they just lump Brooks in with Gaines and feed him the same crap do Katie doesn't have to stand up to Gaines and tell her no or point out her flaws.

Gaines does look like a sick kid all the time. So pale and thin. I'm sure she's totally fine, but I often think she looks sick.

I made my kids lentil soup. When they were little I would cut up hot dogs into. We called it hot dog soup and they gobbled it up. As they got older I could drop the hotdogs and add more veggies or add nothing. Since we’ve seen Kelly get Gaines to eat healthy foods, we know it’s Gaines rules the roost and Cullen and Katie allow it. Since they say how bright Gaines is they should sit her down and say you know why you don’t feel well, you eat junk. Junk in junk out, we need to clean up our eating so we are all healthy and feel energetic. We want to give our bodies the best so they give the best. It’s not easy breaking the cycle, but it can be done. It’s called parenting.

She sends those kids cheese sandwiches for lunch. Just cheese and white bread with mayonnaise. That is the most disgusting thing I have ever heard of plus how did they ever even try something like that?

Good Southern girl, lol. My bff loves pimiento cheese and pimiento loaf. *shudder*.
But pediasure is "necessary". There are so many ways to sneak vegetables into picky kids. Not gonna go OT again with "I fed my kids thus and such", but they can Google it. Their lives are supposed to be social media. Why not ask other parents? It would increase their engagement. People love to give advice, as this forum proves. We don't even like them (most of us) and there have been tons of suggestions here!

I'll believe that Katie cares more about the welfare of her innocent children over what suits her extra lazy behind when her kids get freshly cooked vegetables, whole grains, quality protein and cheese in one meal three times a week max. I am not exaggerating when I say their diet is vile. For the amount these slobs spend on food they could eat clean no problem. I am trying to lose 10 pounds so I have watched some of the keto guys shopping hauls. They have done Aldi hauls for a family of four that cost under $150 for a week and a half. My diet is already good, but I just wanted to kick it up a notch since I have some heart disease genes. Cullen has direct cancer genes,he needs to change his diet drastically. Chicken pot pie should not pass his lips more than twice a year.

Well, right now they are having dinner in some fancy looking restaurant for Katie's birthday. Getting appetizers and most likely some mixed drinks and a bottle of wine. Debt free journey my ass, they couldn't even stay out of a restaurant for 30 days. I can hear the justifications now!

"Life has been so crazy y'all we just needed a night out".

"We had a gIfT CaRd!!!!! "


"We only spent $200 which is way less than the $600 we spent last year on my birthday".

These two deserve to lose everything, who continues to spend money on stupid shit when you had to sell all your shit to pay your back mortgage payments. They need serious mental help. Katie is such a child, almost 40 years old and she HAS to go out for her birthday. Such an entitled princess. Dave Ramsey did them a real disservice by going easy on her.

Dave Ramsey doesn’t even monitor his own Twitter. The only information he probably had on Katie was the info she gave him when she asked the question. It’s not like he knows all that we do, or he would have definitely called her out.

The man is worth billions, he isn’t jeopardizing his brand for a couple low rate You Tubers.

Katie’s IG posts about her birthday really show her mindset well. She thinks it’s sacrificing to not buy a fancy cake for herself, and to re-use a “3” a “5” and add two other single candles to make “37.” She does realize many adults don’t care about having a birthday cake right? But things like that are the sacrifices she’s making on this debt free journey.

Another part of her simple day? A night out with a gift card of course. So convenient Kate always has a gift card to justify whatever she wants to do....

I think if I was $80,000 in debt, and could barely pay my mortgage, I would be requesting that my family give cash for my birthday instead of restaurant gift cards and edible arrangements. Surely her parents have watched the debt series..

We have similar talks with our 4 yr old son. He eats very little processed foods/snacks because we’ve noticed it affects his behavior. We have convos that veggies, fruits and protein fuel his body and give him energy to play outside and be strong etc. We have the occasional cookie after dinner and/or enjoy cake at birthday parties. There’s no guilt or shame. I’m a firm believer that kids won’t starve. Gaines and Brooks are developing typically and are “picky eaters” due to poor parenting and not sensory needs etc. Like you said, it’s not easy. But after a few days of tough love and consistency afterwards, things could be different. Just put your foot down as a parent. End of story.

And i think it’s funny how she was like baby lead weaning blah blah blah no baby food...and now her kids eat crap all the time.

Did anyone notice the Insta Story when Gaines walked into her bedroom with a homemade birthday card. She said I have a gift card for you (meaning a card that was her gift) Katie turns quickly and says quite gleefully what?! Then you see the let down when she realizes what Gaines meant. Haha true colors shown once again.

I was thinking the same thing. It is ridiculous how they think that what she did for her birthday is sacrifice. She doesn’t even know what that word means. I am curious to see what will happen come her 40th birthday if they don’t have the money to throw this big extravagant party.
