I'm sorry. I don't believe ANY vloggers that say they do it for the memories or the milestones. I believe him when he says he likes doing it, and that it makes him happy when people say that the vlogs make a difference.
But nobody who is really videotaping"for memories" monetizes videos and uploads them publicly to the Internet. I made lots of videos for memories when my kids were little. And yes, YouTube was around then, and Adsense. But I never uploaded them or monetized them. It's disingenuous at best,and outright BS in cases like Shay, who in one hand will say, "I make vlogs for myself!" And then will say how excited he was to get his first Adsense check and then he challenged himself to make more.
