Long time Lurker, first time poster. I first discovered the Bumps when I was looking for someone who had lost a second trimester baby as well. I found their old stuff so thought I would check out their newer vids. I don't watch anymore but have been coming here to check out what you guys have to say I just find them aggravating and, well all the things you guys have said pretty much! Bryan drives me nuts and Missy is ungrateful. I don't think Bryan is gay but I also don't think that she thinks much of him.
I have lost five babies (three second tri's and two first) and don't call it stillbirth. I think carrying a baby to term and then delivering would be much, much worse. I have quite a few kids as well so the whole grief thing is different. If I have to talk too much about my lost babies I get upset but I don't do anything on their loss days as they past a couple of weeks before delivery so to me their actual passing is unknown. I have lots of other kids to have fun birthdays with now. I am very vocal about infant loss though and think they h ave a perfect platform to bring attention to it and raise awareness and even funds but no they get a Volvo. And extraordinarily ugly clothes.
So that is my mini intro

I have to say it was really sweet of Bryan to buy his sister a car...... Like I'm not really a minion or anything, but I am a fan of their vlogs,. But I have to say I used to love Missy & think Bryan was annoying (which he still is sometimes- especially when he tries to be cool) & even thought he was gay (same with Jared), but now I've gotten to a point where I can't really stand Missy anymore & I like Bryan- even tho Missy & I are a lot alike, according to some of y'all on here (I can just imagine some of the snark I would get on here from people seeing just 10-15 mins of my day). Yeah Bryan has his faults, but seriously he really seems like a great guy when he isn't trying to be too cool. Like the other day Ellie filmed him holding Calvin in the salon while Jared got his haircut, & he was busy like just holding him & loving on him & then he sees Ellie was vlogging & it was just a really cute moment (that looked un-staged, at least to me).

I thought that moment with Bryan and Calvin was real too. I think he's excited for Finley. Buying the car for his sister is super sweet. I wonder why his mom and sister wont move to California? I like him alot when they're around. I think they would be a good influence for Ollie and Finley.

I think he is too... And who knows. Maybe his mom just likes Idaho.

I think it's interesting that Bryan believes the Hollisters are this model family. They are cold, sheltered and highly self-centred.

Bryan's family is warm, open and kind. They aren't stone faced and afraid to show emotion! He's a better man whenever he's with them. I think that's when we see the true Bryan. I believe him when he says he's like his sister. She seems fun and outgoing without being obnoxious.

I think it just goes to show that the "perfect family" is very subjective.

I wonder if pregnant Missy was a good hostess and gave up her bed and slept on the floor? Somehow, I doubt it.

I agree with you, Bryan is a really nice loving guy whenever he's with his family. His mom and sister are so sweet. I'll never forget how adorable it was when Bryan's mom came to visit and asked her if she wanted to vlog, he handed her the camera and she asked if she was holding the camera with the right hand.
The Hollisters are just meanies and cold people, I bet if that was Suzanne or Cassie getting a car, they would just do that stupid face and say thanks.

Awww, that was really sweet of Bryan. I'm glad they're using their income to help family, as well. But ... do they have any use for their old Prius? When Bryan started mentioning the car situation I thought he was going to give Bev the Prius. I wish I could film my mediocre life and have enough money to not only finance a luxury SUV with all the bells and whistles, but also a nice (used) car for a deserving family member - not to mention all the other crap they've purchased in the last three months alone. I really don't want to sound like a downer because what Bryan and Missy did was so thoughtful and considerate, but why a relatively new car when they have a car that's not being touched that's in good condition? Unless they got rid of it, that is.
Whatever, brownie points to Missy and Bryan for doing something for someone else for a change. Bev's reaction said it all. A very touching moment. Almost makes me want to give the vlog a thumbs up ... almost.

But lol at Missy for needing even MORE maternity clothes for a photoshoot - woman already has enough maternity clothes and these new outfits will only be worn once, twice if she wants to shock us. Since by the time cash cow #3 (or #5, if you want to be technical) she won't like them anymore and will buy a whole new wardrobe I'd love to say it would be hilarious if she gave birth before the shoot, but obviously the risk to Finn is greater than a petty "haha" moment for me. Finn matters more.

Well the car does prove Bryan gets some say in how involved he is with his family. A car is huge. So all those times they didn't include his mom was partly his choice. Whatever the reason it isn't all pissy missy. Maybe going forward he will have a better relationship with them. It's possible his search for his dad caused a strain (even though everyone said it didn't on camera).

I know I'm behind a little, but like someone said inducing yourself naturally is not as easy as people would think. The whole "your baby comes when he's ready" thing really is true. Pissy can try everything she wants but she's just going to end up getting pissier when it doesn't work. The only way she's going to make him come early if he's not ready is by scheduling a C-section.

Also, my last baby was 9 lbs. 13 oz. and I wasn't nearly as big as she is, and I think we have similar bodies. Also I had 2 other large babies before that so I'm pretty sure my stomach muscles have gone to hell.

And also, did they have another loss before Gabriel? I noticed in the vlog the other day Bryan called him their "second little boy". I don't watch them religiously so I wasn't sure if I missed that. I also have no idea the deets of the Craigslist scandal if someone would like to do a quick summary?

Hi! I don't think I have posted on this forum yet but I remembered I had an account and was like, "eh why not." I love analyzing peoples behavior and mind-set so this family honestly is interesting to debunk and try to understand. And I love y'all's input!

But I have to say I loved Bryan's sister and her personality this video. She clearly didn't see that her brother owed her anything. Even with all his apparent money. She was apparently working her ass off for the new car and didn't mention it to him. He said himself he found out through their mother about the car trouble. Unlike the Hollisters who feed off their earnings.

Did anyone else find it just weird to see Missy's mom eat Pho with a fork? It just looked wrong lol

But anyways, you go Bryan! It must be amazing to do something like that for your family. I know I would kill to do that for my mother her siblings too.

I wish people would stop saying castor oil will induce labor, it is extremely dangerous and can cause the baby to have a bowel movement which means the baby will be breathing that in! Castor oil is dangerous I would hate for anyone reading here to think it's a way to induce labor it's not! Don't mean to sound preachy it's just a dangerous myth!!

They lost their first pregnancy around 10 weeks, I think. This was around early 2012, I believe. Missy may have detailed it on her old blog? I can't remember.

The Craigslist thing, basically a guy who fit the description of Bryan asking for male/male hook ups at the same gym Bryan was going to. The same Craigslist account also had an ad for a Mac, further connecting it to Bryan but it was removed once the ads surfaced and Bryan stopped going to that gym. If you Google "Bryan Lanning" you will probably get a result for liarsandcheaters and those pages have even more scandal.

of course, it's all speculation. Take it with a grain of salt. But still.

I haven't watched the vlog yet but it sounds like a breath of fresh air! Good for Bryan for helping his family! I believe Bryan does have a side to him that could be likable and genuine, but he just ruins it with his constant need to be the best. From the sound of it, he seemed genuine and likable today. Can't wait to watch the vlog!

Bryan can't drag Missy to Idaho if she won't do. Why would he if she's going to be miserable the entire time anyway?

I don't think the dad thing caused a strain at all. Nancy didn't want him to do it, but she supported him( Bryan's own words). If anything has effected the relationship I would say it's the constant travels to anywhere but Idaho.

To the poster that questioned why Nancy and Bev haven't moved to Cali... why would they? Bryan has always said his mom and sister work hard and don't get many days off. Not everyone is on disability like Suzanne and able to just follow B&M around. California is expensive!

If Bryan's family packed up and moved to California I bet Missy and Suzanne would decide they are going to Florida so fast.

I like that Nancy and Bev aren't Suzanne and Cassie.

I actually teared up when he told her they were buying the car. My brother helps me out a lot, so I know just how she felt. I think this was one of the first vlogs where I didn't want to smack him. I can't believe Missy was so rude at the restaurant. "Say pho and q" No, eff YOU Missy. Just because they didn't go to some generic fast casual place where she can get her bread.

I'm the kinda person who cries when someone else cries so yes, i cried when bryan told his sister about the car-thing. That was a really sweet thing to do. Bryan has these moments when i kinda like him. And it's nice he gets to spend time with his sister.

So I saw the prius in the garage when they got the new car. I think they'll keep it so they can have two cars. I actually thought that the other day Missy was driving it but nope....she had her mom take her. Guess they don't really need two cars...Missy has her mommy.

It was a sweet move of Bryan. Still, kinda shady that Shay just gave his dad a new truck too. No matter, still a great move and Bev loved it. I think she really appreciates it. I don't think Missy was to keen on the idea though, just the vibe I got. When did Mimi get a new car? Anyone know what vlog? I thought it looked the same just the other day.

Those cars are super cheap where I live, but even so, that was so sweet of Bryan. Even though he's a money hungry, chicklet teethed turd sometimes, that was very sweet of him. He seems to deserve someone a little better than Misthy.
