What is it with Bryan and not going to his kids' doctor appointments? Granted, my ex didn't drop everything for checkups, but important things like meeting with the geneticist, and when my daughter had Kawasaki syndrome, and they were worried about complications with her heart, he was there. And he listened, and asked questions, and learned about the issues. I just don't understand. And it's not like he has a job he has to get time off from. He complained about his uninvolved father, and look at him.

Same here, my husband didn't come to every check up, but anything major, if they are super sick or if we were to see a specialist or something like that he is always there.

Not saying it's the case here, but at a certain point even specialist appointments become routine. The first few after an initial diagnosis, my husband would come, but he certainly didn't miss work for every echo. I know these boys have had a few.

That being said, Brian doesn't even go to swim lessons so....haha

I don't think hes ever been to ONE heart appt for either boy, and like someone else said he has zero excuses.... I have no sympathy for him and he comes across as a major asshole when he does this.

Especially when he pulls that "I never had a father when I was growing up" sympathy ploy. So now your kid does have a father, who could be there. But he'd rather play with RC cars.

When their backyard is complete they will throw a huge party and Bryan (but probably papa) will BBQ for everyone and that will be the last time we ever see that kitchen being used.

Question, i know it's been extremely dry in CA and thats probably the answer to my question, but does grass just NOT grow in SoCal? If you want grass does it pretty much have to be sod? It's strange to me that they have so much DIRT on their "property". Just empty barren land.... Such a stark comparison to here in the south.. even though we are still in extreme drought conditions where we are, we are still already mowing bc the grass is growing even in the drought. (granted we are on the up tick in the rain dept, but i know they have had some much needed rains as well.. clearly not nearly enough..)

Boy, I really hope Finn becomes rich and successful and leaves these people in the dust. Care for any little brothers he might have. Maybe take in Ollie and get him a good education and job if he redeems himself a la Dudley Dursley.

He should let B&M rot, though. They're just awful. How can you care so little for your child? They're not abusive or anything, just so indifferent. They don't even seem to have the basic love that most parents get when their child is born.

the enlarged valve that they hoped would correct itself has only gotten larger, they are running more tests to see if its some sort of syndrome or disorder, and will be keeping a closer eye on it. Worst case is surgery later down the line...
Ollie's heart was normal in the last US also.

Roman does things I don't agree with (faking his kid's death for views) but he appreciates his "fans" and does a lot of Make a Wish and other charity things. Plus, he has over 10 million subscribers. And would never say he couldn't shell out the cash for a venue for a meet & greet

PlaysinRain, yes, in Southern California, you pretty much need sod for green grass. This is coastal desert. The drought has officially been declared over, but it's still better to try and use native plants that don't take a lot of water. If you want a green lawn, you have to either get sod or have it seeded and baby it along.

Yep. Twice. To get his baby mama's reaction. And for views. Here's an article about it. My daughter loooooves him, and he has some good qualities. I really, REALLY can't believe those two.
My cats both have a heart condition. Since I had to move 2 hours away for school, they don't live with me anymore, they live with my mom.
Because my cats are my babies, I make the two hour drive whenever i can to go to the vet with them. And because they are my babies, I freak the eff out when something is wrong with them, besides the heart condition, and i do everything i can so that they are not hurting. Again, those are my CATS not my KIDS.

And then B and M. He doesn't even say anything about the situation, doesn't seem to intervene when she ignores the doctor's advice about Finn's coughing. And she could not be any more inconvinienced. i am truly disgusted

Wow Missy barely showed any feelings about Finn's results. It was all about her. "I'm exhausted from sitting in traffic. " (huh? you're a grown woman and your mother was driving for you, no you were not exhausted from that.) "This day was so long." "Poor me, I actually had to spend some time on that other kid I have. I forget his name."

And the nursing complaints. But, I guess it wouldn't be a vlog if she didn't spend 5 minutes complaining about Finley.

Back to her lack of emotions, I'd like to give her the benefit of the doubt and say that maybe she's the kind of person who refuses to internalize bad news, especially before further tests/investigation (because I'm like that, too) but we all know how indifferent she acts toward him sometimes. Poor little guy. I hope his condition gets better instead of worse.

Don't get me started on Bryan's hypocrisy about being present with his kids. Someone forgot to tell him that the cleaning lady excuse only works on swim class day.

Wow, I took a break from watching vlogs and reading here and decided I'd watch today and now I'm regretting it. The vlogs lately have been boring or just downright irritating. Way too stressful haha I don't get how people are fans of them. Even kids or their parents should start to notice the BS eventually.

Yep. This. I have two cats with heart conditions as well, and I worry about them A LOT. That was my first thought when I saw how Missy was behaving.

B&M may not be abusive exactly, but they aren't good parents! I don't think k it's a teach to expect the bar to be much higher.

I am 100% percent convinced Fin is not the favorite. If that had been Ollie today it would of been such a big deal, so many emotions, so many ice creams, toys, drop everything to hold him.
I don't think I could be so non chalant about something growing bigger in my baby's heart or heart area. Her little comment about being "so exhausted (with the flip of her hair) from the trip, the drive, the traffic, but not putting that much effort into the Finn report and even saying more tests are being ordered and surgery possible in the future as worst case scenario.
I mean I didn't expect her to lay in the dirt and sob but if you note the difference between that and then how she is loving and interacting with Ollie at the end is kind of insane.

Bryan continues to play with expensive big boy toys No time to support his wife or go to his son's appt to help her. Not like the 4 adults there couldn't watch Ollie.

Agreed. My daughter has BAV (bicuspid aortic valve). She has to have an echo done every year and it's very stressful and scary for all of us. My husband always comes with us, not only do I need the support but he actually wants to be there, even though she won't need surgery until she's an adult, it's something serious. I feel like any issues with the heart should not be taken lightly, she didn't seemed concerned at all but maybe I'm wrong, I don't know, it just seemed like an odd reaction to me.

My 8mth old has a BAV/AS also and we both go to her appointments where due to go next week for her 6mthly review
and his coming he doesn't come to her weight/developmental checks, immunizations or general doctors appointments
but specialist appointments he does its a long day we see the cardio nurse for weight/length/o2/bp checks then the echo/ecg
then we see her cardiologist about how she is going and the results from the echo/ecg

have they actual said whats wrong with his heart? or just touched on its the aortic dilation that's no big deal?
the fact its getting bigger and his not even 2yrs plus the need for further testing would worry me
