Interesting article about why Mormons vlog......I also wonder if it's to counter the show "Sister Wives"? A lot of people think that is what Mormonism is.

Used to be, the males went on Mission at age 19.....just changed to 18......I wonder if BrokeButt didn't go because he was too busy grooming his 13 yr. old conquest?

Wow...just wow.
I stopped checking in on the FF a couple of months ago as I felt physically I'll at the fact those parents are basically neglecting the developmental needs of those girls and exploiting them for their own financial gain.
However I have a hubby and 2 sick kids at home so I took a look at the last couple of vlogs when everyone was asleep.
And how depressing that turned out to be. These girls are at an age where every week they should be doing and learning something new. They are such sponges at this age. Yet sadly very little seems to have changed in the last 9 months. Let me see:
* Still very limited speech from all girls. I dont think I heard any of them string together a sentence with more than 3 words and even then it was still hard to understand them
* Donuts and rainbow coloured cereal still on the breakfast menu
* Girls still wearing nappies and no apparent attempt at toilet training
* Girls being told 'good job'every 10 seconds
* Girls being objectified and treated like dolls to be dressed up
* FatAss still obsessed with how beautiful they look and reminding them every 5 mins
*Assist Still screeching like a wounded parrot when speaking to the girls
* Eating out for at least one meal a day
* Those poor girls still walk/run like 18 mth olds
* Still an aparent lack of age appropriate toys
The list goes on and on......
Are they still having pacifiers too? The older two seem to have issues moving their lower jaws. If I didn't know otherwise, I'd almost think they had down syndrome with their really round faces, almond shaped eyes and flat noses. Itn could explain their delays. I work with downs kid's and they are some of the sweetest kid's you'd meet.

We all know that the Gardners are not representative of all Mormons. I don't want any of the other snarkers on here who are Mormon to think we are any way implying we are making that connection when religion is brought up. Excellent point! I have wonderful friends that are Mormon. In support of Mormon posters here, I do not think Ashley and Tyson are modeling the values of the Mormon religion at all. Furthermore, I think the article, while very interesting, is a big stretch to justify (what I feel to be) family values that have nothing to do with the Mormon Church.

I get the impression that there is tension between Byson and some of his siblings. I bet he was a bully and they resent him.

I really think their family is in a really difficult position. They loathe advice and he is such a know it all that he wouldn't ask for or listen to advice. So if you were concerned for the girls then do you speak up and risk being cut off or stay quiet and help where and when you can?

I've grown up Mormon and I've never heard of any of these vloggers. I've also never heard of vloging really until gsq.

There are some that are HILARIOUS and I screen shot to my mom and sisters when we're having bad days. Ppl don't know how to take selfie anymore.
