Re: Cullen and Katie: Shifty eyes and constant lies | Part #25
Because of her Birthday: "...a visit from my parents, ..." In other words, not Kelley and family... The fallout is BIG if Kelley isn't making an exception for her birthday.
Another stupid thing: "my birthday day". It's not cute or funny, nor creative.

EXACTLY!!!!marshmallowfluf wrote:I think if I was $80,000 in debt, and could barely pay my mortgage, I would be requesting that my family give cash for my birthday instead of restaurant gift cards and edible arrangements. Surely her parents have watched the debt series..

Gosh and even after her massage she said if she had a million dollars she would get a massage everyday!
I said if I had money I would pay off my student loan debt.
Like come on Katie! Just shows even if they had the money, it wouldnt go towards their debt

Re: Cullen and Katie: Shifty eyes and constant lies | Part #25
Does she even have any friends left to come to a big extravaganza 40th birthday party?
I know I'm a broken record. But Katie especially has NO idea what "sacrifice" and "humbling yourself" is. I wish I could pull a gift card out of thin air every time I wanted to do something! What are they going to do when they run out of stuff to sell and "gift cards"?

I think their extended family and friend group is VERY social and throw lots of parties. Didn't Kelley and Jay have HUGE 40th b-day parties?
All this debt is because they were trying to live like Katie's parents and Kelley and Jay.

But they haven't shown their friends much since they moved into the new house. They used to go out with friends a lot, and have big parties, and they just haven't for a long time. The last big party other than the kids' birthday parties was the Halloween party after they moved in, and not many people came because they changed it to adults only at the last minute. And they haven't had a big Halloween party since. That used to be an every year big deal for them.rosie_dalia wrote:I think their extended family and friend group is VERY social and throw lots of parties. I don't think they have many friends anymore. Yeah, Jay and Kelley are very social and entertain a lot, but notice that C&K aren't included and haven't been for a while.

They don’t have friends because everyone wanted something from Katie. She had to learn how to say no and take care of herself. She can’t be all things to all people. Blah blah blah. Bull crap. That’s the junk she spouts on her podcasts. She has such a victim mentality. She really is mentally screwed up.lmmomSD wrote: ↑Sun Mar 08, 2020 2:47 pmBut they haven't shown their friends much since they moved into the new house. It’s hilarious because these gift cards have come from reward points from the credit cards they have maxed out and dont pay!
The company should put stop to them claiming rewards on stuff no paid for!

She has SUCH a victim mentality! I listen to her podcasts and I almost cannot make it all the way through them. It's just so much about her learning to tell people no.playground78 wrote:They don’t have friends because everyone wanted something from Katie. I guess those couple times she picked up her sister's kid from school was just too much for her.
Then she goes on and on about how she was raised to not take care of herself. She makes it sound like her parents are the most dysfunctional jerks. Then she goes to holidays like everything is fine.
These two just jump on any band wagon they can that they think will bring them attention on the internet.

Re: Cullen and Katie: Shifty eyes and constant lies | Part #25
I will never understand how this almost 40 year old grown ass adult can just expect so much attention and gifts and praise on her birthday. I couldn't tell you the last time I actually went out on my birthday or had a big celebration/got showered in gifts. Who cares? Like is she 5 and needs to feel like a princess? You are drowning in debt and could lose your house if it doesn't sell soon yet celebrating her birthday is a #1 priority.
Must be nice to have gift cards fall from the heavens for every occasion. Humbling themselves and sacrifices my ass. They will justify the restaurant on her birthday by bringing up the stress of showing the house and having to cook dinner every night. "Doing laundry and cleaning the house without the housekeeper is so stressful y'all"!

Katie just posted that she “forgot” to feed her kids dinner, so they are eating pizza and popcorn at 8:15 on a school night. Of course shes blaming daylight savings. I hate when people act like the world stops turning when the time changes by ONE hour.

How are they letting a kid who can have full-on conversations with you still crap his pants?? It’s unbelievable to me that Brooks is still in pull ups. Isn’t he in a big boy bed?? He doesn’t know to go to the toilet when he wakes up? They are SO LAZY!!

Re: Cullen and Katie: Shifty eyes and constant lies | Part #25
In all fairness I doubt brooks is actually peeing/pooping in his pull up while awake. It’s just that he didn’t take it off after waking up. It’s probably dry and he’s essentially wearing it like underwear. My daughter used to do that. She’d be awake for hours still in her pull up. But it was dry and she’d use the toilet as normal.auntasaurus19 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 08, 2020 7:06 pm How are they letting a kid who can have full-on conversations with you still crap his pants?? Also, night time toilet training is biological not behavioural. In some kids readiness doesn’t develop until age 12/13. Drs won’t even do further testing until this age. There’s a brain-bladder connection that just takes longer to develop in some kids.
Take my family, I have three girls and a boy. First two girls fully trained at age 2. Including nights. Third girl day trained at 2. Still not night trained at 6! My boy is 3 years old. He is fully Day and night trained. Same methods, same household but one kid who still pees at night.
So I know firsthand that it’s not always parents laziness that sees kids wearing pull ups at night for an extended period.
But if your kids night trained easily it’s something parents wouldn’t be aware of.

It’s not always laziness, but sometimes it absolutely is.
C&K are lazy parents when it comes to most things they should be doing. It definitely is t a reach to suggest they’ve put no effort into this one.

No one ''forgets'' to feed their kids unless they are under the influence or otherwise mentally not there. That just screams lazy to me. (I'm not saying that they were drunk but she sure have excuses)marshmallowfluf wrote: ↑Sun Mar 08, 2020 6:34 pm Katie just posted that she “forgot” to feed her kids dinner, so they are eating pizza and popcorn at 8:15 on a school night. When Gaines was first training, she had a toddler potty right next to her bed at night so she wouldn’t have to go all the way to the bathroom (in the old house, the bathroom was further away.)HelloSweetie wrote:playground78 wrote:

They do have a bathroom attached to his bedroom now but maybe they should try the toddler potty right next to the bed to help him train at night, if in fact he is going at night. Didn’t they always used to say that he didn’t go during the night but he tended to poop like the minute he woke up? So if he could roll out of bed onto a potty, seems like it would help. Then he’d also have the pull up off and could learn to put on underwear.

Re: Cullen and Katie: Shifty eyes and constant lies | Part #25
I am curious to see how they are going to explain this magic giftcard that appeared for her birthday. If they had it all along I seriously doubt they wouldn't have used it for valentine's.
I hate how much they mention following Dave's plan when he consistently tells everyone who calls that you should be no where near a restaurant while you are in debt.
They are getting off easy having these walmart giftcards, it is obviously making them feel like they have extra money to spend. Katie probably went out and bought a giftcard and told Cullen she just found it in her purse.
Time change is not an excuse to "forget" to feed your very small children and keep them up way past when they should be winding down and ready for bed. Who is proud to share on the internet that they kids are eating pizza and popcorn at 8:15 because you forgot to feed them.
How hard is it to teach your three year old to take off his own pullup and put on undies. Put the underwear some where he can reach on his own and encourage him to take them off after his nap? It's called parenting Katie you should try it some time!

Re: Cullen and Katie: Shifty eyes and constant lies | Part #25
The only person Katie is lying to about the gift card is herself. She could have sold the gift card for cash and used the money for groceries, gas or something other than eating out. And forgetting to feed your children because of the time change is ridiculous especially at 8:15pm those kids need to be in bed not watching a movie on a tablet. And I wont comment about the "nutritious" dinner they had either. I loved her parents passive aggressive move of sending her an edible arrangement. Her parents set her up for success and she failed. As a parent I wouldn't help out my kid until they were showing willingness to change.
Re: Cullen and Katie: Shifty eyes and constant lies | Part #25
That’s the real reason she bought all those wipes! Brooks still shits his pants in bed.
Cullen and Katie: Shifty eyes and constant lies | Part #25
How is it that she somehow remembers to go out for dinner on her birthday and yet can’t remember to feed her kids the next night? Daylight savings happens every single year. It’s not like it’s a surprise. It seems as if they have gotten even lazier since they started trying to budget.Kataja wrote:No one ''forgets'' to feed their kids unless they are under the influence or otherwise mentally not there. Does she ever feed her children a well balanced meal? There’s no way they feel good eating pizza, popcorn, hot dogs and pasta all the time. She shows the fruit as if that balances it out. It doesn’t. Even the way her and Cullen eat...they can’t feel good eating this way. I understand eating like that every once in a while but it’s an everyday occurrence for them. I don’t think it has anything to do with showing the house or daylight savings. I definitely think she drank too much the night before, spent the day hungover and didn’t make the kids dinner. It was well past 8pm and they hadn’t eaten yet.

As you said, wetting the bed past toddlerhood is largely a biological issue, and can definitely last until puberty.playground78 wrote:In all fairness I doubt brooks is actually peeing/pooping in his pull up while awake. But not defecating. That’s a different thing all together. That’s either a behavioural issue, laziness on the part of the child and/or parents, or the child was never trained properly in the first place.
In Brooks’ case, it is likely to be all three of those, mostly the latter two.
