DailyFinleyPotter&TheDursleys (Part 77)
Re: DailyFinleyPotter&TheDursleys (Part 77)
I have a hard time understanding Ollie when he's not repeating what they tell him to. I feel bad for him because I don't think his parents have him on the right track. And I think he will ultimately suffer by being the favorite and because they expect him to perform and entertain their viewers. Most three year olds throw tantrums because they are still learning to communicate. They haven't even shown that many.

They cut them out. They want to portray Ollie as being the perfect child.Cgl33 wrote:I have a hard time understanding Ollie when he's not repeating what they tell him to. Ollie is so freaking cute and sweet in Cassie's vlog, she actually treats him like a person and not a prop. Why can't missy and bryan film him like this?

Re: DailyFinleyPotter&TheDursleys (Part 77)
The reason we rarely see Ollie throwing tantrums is because of two reasons:
1. They don't film it and when it happens they immediately cut it without being sooooo obvious..
2. They never say no and give him his way 99.9% of the time so they don't have to deal with the tantrums.

Re: DailyFinleyPotter&TheDursleys (Part 77)
Not to defend them but with other vloggers if a parent even disciplines or corrects their child lightly everyone argues they should keep it private and not humiliate the child. I don't think we can blame B&M for not showing the tantrums and fits if this is the case.
I agree with everyone that his spoiled behaviour likely shows he's throwing fits once the camera is off because he's a bit spoiled, but I think if they did show the tantrums people would say it was exploitative.
That said, they could certainly talk about the struggles of disciplining him and preventing fits if it's at all happening. The Ollie throwing Bryan's watch aftermath for instance.

What a waste of wrapping paper to wrap themselves as gifts. I know it's nothing to these millionaires but for an average person like myself, I couldn't imagine wasting things so frivolously that way!

I do actually most of the time,I have noticedrd_valo wrote:Am i the only one that understands nearly every word ollie says? Maybe it's because my daughter had speech problems at that age too? But I've understood Ollie for ages and his speech is do much clearer recently.
Not saying they shouldn't get him help though because they really really need to.

Ollies unhealthy eating habits and lack of physical activity is catching up to him. :/ As a parent how could you let your child be like that?

I wonder what they did with the 25,000 balls that were in there. They probably threw them out. How, I have no clue. Maybe that's why missy was so exhausted and couldn't roll the peanut butter balls. She cleaned the balls out of the playroom.marshmallowfluf wrote:You know its bad when you have to purge your kids toy room every few months to make room for new ones!!!! Wednesday is their cleaning service day, right? Is today the first day they showed the playroom? If so, I think they probably had the cleaning service deal with that. No way lazy Missy or Bryan would pick up all of those balls! And I certainly hope they didn't make Jim do it!yoyo16 wrote:I wonder what they did with the 25,000 balls that were in there. I was freaking out at the beginning of the vlog because I was so concerned that Ollie was going to turn the hot water on when Finn was in the bathtub... and then he did! Bryan is such an irresponsible parent! Finn could have easily gotten scalded when Ollie turned the water on! Instead of putting the camera down and actually interacting with his kids, Bryan just continued to film while encouraging Ollie to turn the water in the bathtub on and off. Thank goodness Finn didn't put his hand in the water!

Quoting myself since I can't edit. I just realized today is Friday and not Thursday! What's wrong with me? LOLsammibro wrote:Wednesday is their cleaning service day, right? Bryan saying "use your FEETS" when Ollie was getting into the car. I had to listen to it several times b/c I couldn't believe he was so stupid.
So he tells Ollie that he has to wait to eat a donut at home yet next shot is ollie in the car with a half eaten donut...nice follow through.
Yes Bryan you do wrap better than Ollie since your an adult and he's a 3 year old. Also don't rub your junk on camera...so gross.
Why give the kid an early present now? Can't wait a couple more days or is there just so much stuff?
Everyone is so darn lazy in that whole family laying all over the couch. Just so exhausted they couldn't sit and make peanut butter balls! Surprised they didn't hire someone to do it!

Re: DailyFinleyPotter&TheDursleys (Part 77)
Yeah Ollie started at 6 months and they took him religiously. Pretty sure Finn has only gone a few times. It's too much work for a kid they don't like as much.OhHiImSam wrote:You make a really good point about swim. Wasn't Ollie in swim class by six months? Have they even started with Finn?sarahelizabeth_1 wrote:So in the beginning when they got the package Missy was going on about how much work Ellie did because she got a package delivered to her, opened it, wrapped it, and sent it to them. Holy shit if she thinks that's a lot of work I really hope for her sake the YouTube money keeps coming in for them because how is she ever going to get a job? I guess I shouldn't be surprised since she can't even be bothered to make meals for her family (or herself).
Also, I find it disgusting that they so clearly favor Ollie. I think Ollie is cute (I know I'm in the minority here) and his little fits he does is completely his parents' fault because they give into him, all he has to do is start yelling and they say ok. But seriously, Finn is like the step child no one wants, he was hardly in the vlog and wtf why does Missy make it such a priority to take Ollie to swim but not Finn? That's so messed up.

Re: DailyFinleyPotter&TheDursleys (Part 77)
And I'm sorry, Bryan. Your parental "responsibilities" (like he cares about them) come BEFORE chatting on the interwebs with your "friends".
I agree with HS-- they shouldn't show Ollie's meltdowns on camera. I know he has them because they cut away from them. And they've said that they give in to avoid them. The one time they did show it, I thought it was mean to film him and laugh at him.

Exactly what I was thinking! Cassie's vlog was so much more fun and cute than anything the Bumps film. He totally acts like a different kid! I wish we could see more of Ollie like this.MommaLindsey2 wrote:Ollie is so freaking cute and sweet in Cassie's vlog, she actually treats him like a person and not a prop.
