Of course they would think of Friday as an extra weekend day, they do not value school at all. Mindy never finished university and Brandens vocabulary shows that they do not care about education. Parents should ensure their kids finish their schoolwork before going away or out and about. They make comments about Madi being so smart all the time, like they cannot fathom how someone can put their studies above visiting disney or going on vacation. They are failing their children for sure! It's funny people comment about Madi and BYU and how it's not that hard to get in, but people also fail to talk about that she got in on scholarship and if she keeps her grades up she will maintain it. Seems that not growing up in that house and being called a stud or pretty led her to be smart and responsible, I imagine at Rylers age she knew how to complete an assignment on time. The Binghams are pathetic , they need to put the camera down and start mo itring their kids to complete their schoolwork and forget about all the after school activities, those should be a reward.
Don't get me wrong, when I say that BYU isn't hard to get into, I am most decidedly not dissing Madi. Madi is plenty smart, and obviously hard-working. I think she's great. My point is pretty much the same as yours: that Mindy and Branden are idiots who don't value education, and that they probably couldn't get into the schools Madi could have, much less graduated. I just get annoyed with their breathless assertion that "BYU is SO hard to get into!". Yeah, for them, because they are airheads who are raising airheads. Thank goodness for Madi that she was raised by her mom.
They, like so many of their vlogger buddies, are failing their children. And the worst part is that they don't care.

clearly their pocket of Utah allows them to pick a school considering the 3 vlog neighbors all go to different schools, but the Ravellis who live farther away also go to that school- They should just send them to one of the schools that's open full time. They aren't worried about the virus, they're worried about not having epic vlogs.

I'm a teacher, and I had a feeling they were not doing all the work.

Mindy even talked about having them do iReady (its a reading and math game, not fun like a video game but there is some enjoyment and interesting things on there) over the summer... Never once did they vlog the kids on there- and they vlog everything.

and I feel like they don't read enough to Hazy, not that she needs attention but kids listening to kids read all the time isn't going to help her learn fluency or tone, because the kids are still learning. But I'm sure Mindy's not the mom who reads stories in silly voices, she'd rather paint her nails.

It’s not a surprise that they’re missing so many assignments, Mindy and Branden were being taught how to use the platform on one of the meetings with the teacher, that shows how much attention they pay to it. Mindy constantly refers to Thursday as their Friday because their kids only go to school 4 days a week
It’s not supposed to fill the rest of the time with activities and friend play groups as if it was free time, but I got the impression that everyone is doing that because Ryler has that play date with the kids from his school at Friday
As for Madi, growing up away for them really did wonders for her, I think she was raised LDS, Branden did mention in one of the vlogs that she went to the temple in California every month
And the fact that Mindy didn’t get accepted into a college doesn’t make it “super hard to get in”, she’s an idiot that doesn’t even know how to use barely correctly 🤦🏽‍♀️
Those kids will grow up to be just like their parents because they were never taught how to actually study and work, that will be lost when they get to high school and realize they don’t know how to study and it is really sad because it’s the parents fault
Also, in one of the recent vlogs Branden said that Madi needed to study because she needed to keep her scholarship, does that mean that if she loses it they’re not paying for her tuition? Maybe they’re saving for the next Disney trip 🤦🏽‍♀️

The kids apparently go to a charter school. It's a type of public school. You agree to certain terms. For instance, my son were to a cooperative charter school, and I had to commit to a certain number of volunteer hours per school year. I was working from home at the time, so I got to be the field trip coordinator. I had a blast. I got to go on all the field trips with the fourth grade class, including the extended trip to Sacramento, San Francisco, and the California gold country. So. Much. Fun.
Anyway, the kids came from all over San Diego.

So let me get this straight. Hazy’s room is super messy so she decides she should help her out and then proceeds to clean it for her. Then she shows the boys room and says they can clean it themselves? That’s bullshit.

NOTHING makes sense with them literally...

I mean stereotype me wrong but they (Mindy) obsess over how pretty Hazy is and how Madi needs to find boys in college, so shouldn't Hazy be cleaning more than the boys so she can learn the "wifely duties of an LDS housewife"... I don't hate on it either way but I feel like if you go on and on about beauty and boys, set up for it...

also why do I picture Mindy skipping around her dorm to this song when she met Brandon

I could see her sitting on Hazy's floor singing it too..

[non link clickers
"I know a mormon boy he is my pride and joy
he knows most everything from alpha on down
one day I'll be he his wife
we'll have eternal life
oh how I love that mormon boy

M-O-R-E-M-E-N More Men More Men say it again" (repeat)

Has anyone noticed that ever since that live where everyone was commenting on Hazy hitting Brexen, Mindy has been passing them as best friends? All those reading clips and the holding hands and the ig stories... come on Mindy, we all know it is bs

Yes. And angelizing her

“I have a gum ball to poor Krewby because of his face”

10/10 Mindy said it.

Just like last year when hazy said she wanted “everything” for Christmas and that meant she is so sweet she would be happy with anything she got... ha even Brandon understood what she meant.

On insta a few weeks ago she was already talking about wanting everything again for Christmas.

She’s never shared anything in her life!

And "poor Krewbie" did another "sick face plant". I don't think he was wearing a helmet. I think his face will have been better protected if he had been wearing a helmet.
SMH. Maybe if he gets scars that affect his looks they will be more concerned about his face.

I'm sorry, after all that talk about the missing assignments, they show Krew attending an online class and watching Youtube videos at the same time?? You're supposed to stop that, Branden, not vlog the "epic" videos he's watching... if only Krew could at least take from those videos that he should wear a helmet, his face would probably not look like that 🤦‍♀️
Also, how hard can it be to keep you mask on!! The entire mall trip Mindy's and Brandon's were falling from their noses, Krew's was on his chin, Hazy's was bellow her nose, I think Ryler and Brexen were the only ones who wore them correctly, how hard can it be!

And Mindy trying to be compared to Kylie Jenner on IG...just sad

There's no way that zoom call 'just happened' after conferences... that's probably routine and epic Krewbie pulled a fast one because why would anyone do school when there's friends to play with- less homework- more time to start on chores- easier to finish the chores before the friends came home..

Was my family strict, or weren't neighbor friends a 'treat'... if I had an activity I was not to play with friends even if my homework was done because I "already had an activity that day"

The Binghams would definitely be the parents that allow sleepovers on sports mornings and then the poor host's exhausted parents have to get up early to feed their kid breakfast so they can pick him up early.

BUT safe to assume sleepovers are against their family rules, it's not a judgement, I would want that for my own children, but it just is obvious because they want to be such an epic savage family it's almost out of character that they aren't having ridiculous all nighters. First good parenting choice they made

This is somewhat off topic, but something that has always bothered me about the Binghams is the way they patronize Branden when he cries. I mean, I'm not the biggest fan of the guy, but they absolutely berate him whenever he shows even the slightest of emotions. What is that teaching their kids? That the boys aren't allowed to show emotions like that? That boys' emotions are a joke? I hate that logic! Boys and men should be able to show emotion without feeling embarrassed or getting attacked. And what does Mindy do when Branden justifiably reacts to his oldest daughter getting into the college of her dreams? She makes a joke of him! Mindy is teaching her kids horrible lessons without even knowing!

The toxic masculinity is rampant in the Utah vloggers. Branden isn't allowed to cry, but Mindy cries at the drop of a hat. Davy Orgill and Kevin Franke (8 Passengers) were posing in Speedos while their wives were doing ads for "modest bathing suits". Apparently the sight of a shoulder or belly button will make the men lose their minds with lust. Seems insulting to the men to me.
And the whole thing about calling the boys "studs" is ridiculous. Hazy never gets praised for anything but being a "pretty princess" or "sweet" (which she isn't). The boys are encouraged to endanger themselves. When Krew falls and hurts his face, they use it for views and act proud that he did a "sick face plant" and they're happy because he "sent it". None of the kids are encouraged to be smart. They give the kids books but don't seem to show them reading much.
It's definitely not just the Binghams. Most of the men in the Utah vlogger community are happy to impregnate their wives as much as possible, then their job is done. Except for photos with the brood to show off how virile they are, and occasional "fun dad" moments, it's up to the women folk to raise the kids. And people watching seem to eat it up.

Yep. It's how life life is there. Passing from one generation to the next. Very conservative. Very traditional. Extremely insular. The way of thinking hasn't changed much if not all in the past 50+ years.

Once coming from back your "mission" is to find a wife/husband immediately, if already didn't find someone at the mission. Must start a family by 25 the latest. Women run the house, have tons of babies....the men "provide" and work. Men strong and smart. Women pretty and emotional.

I agree with the men in Utah, although I watch Five Two Love and honestly Skyler seems more normal in that he doesnt get ridiculoed for crying, but maybe because he went to college for acting that he is allowed to do that. Yes he has a alot of kids but they struggled and had in vitro. I also find that they dont do anything savage or rad, most vlogs are them at home reading or playing or at the park. This family I can partially relate too without thinking they are showing off their wealth, the kids wear the same dresses and clothes all the time, and no crazy amounts of toys. Bingham's are very unrelatable showing off their wealth and toys and gadgets, barf.

Mean and petty warning: Hazy is nowhere near as cute as they think she is.
If they weren't raising her to be such a brat, she might seem cuter. They keep shoving down our throats how "adorable" she is, but she's just not. Meanwhile, she screams and hits her brothers, and they just gloss over it.
And I really don't mean to slam her. It's not her fault. They need to rein her in, or she is just going to get worse and worse. They're going to be in trouble when she's a teenager.

I was thinking about something today...the Binghams are really weird people, think about it, they are annoying and always showing off and buying dumb stuff, but they look like they are "poor".
I don't mean like poor poor, but think about it, you see all these other Mormon/ex-Mormon families on YouTube, like the Chatwins, Aspyn and Parker, Kyler and Mad, Ohana Adventure, the Mcknight's etc, even the Gardners, and they all have big houses, plenty of vacations (pre-covid of course), designer stuff for them and their kids, good cars, and all of that, you get the point, and then you look at the Binghams and what do you see?
A mom and dad that annoyingly make a big deal out of every little thing, who keep renovating random rooms in a house with no backyard and drive the basic model of their cars and a lazy control freak mom that dresses her kids in rumpled clothes from walmart, costco, old navy and stores like that because she's too lazy to iron them (except for princess Hazy of course) and feeds 10/12 year olds baby portions in baby plates, but then they throw money at vacations and stupid scooters and gadgets.
It just doesn't make sense to me, it kind of looks like they are trying to look like something they aren't, even in the whole Bingham family, they look like the ones who are worse off. Lindsay and Justin own several businesses, a boat, take loads of vacations, have a cool house and don't make their kids do chores to pay off phone bills or stuff like that; Jared and Britt are looking for a house, look like they have good jobs and Jared invests in a lot of businesses with Justin; Dan and Chelle spend their time travelling and have cool motorcycles and cars and their house honestly looks better that Branden and Mindy's; Sean looks like the one who's better off with the cool house, the travelling, the cars etc.
My point being, Branden and Mindy obviously have money because they keep spending it on stupid stuff, but if you look at it comparing with other similar people, it looks like they are trying to come across as rich without being.
Branden is like "wooow look at all the money I'm spending customizing a basic model truck and look at my wife with her rad epic previously owned minivan" and Mindy's $300 lounge sets and $700 pair of scooters and their "epic rad multimillion dollar vacation houses", but then Ryler gets a weird kiddy phone that he has to pay off with chores, Krew apparently had a crappy mattress and shares a room with Brexen and Madi gets a bouquet of gift cards as an 18th birthday gift...it's the little things, sometimes it looks like they are looking for the cheapest way to look rich if that makes sense
