Recently some videos of hers from when Ollie was a baby popped up on my recommended videos and I clicked on one and it's amazing to see how much she's aged over the years.

Corbin and Kelsey are in CA. Watch for missy to be oh so happy. Until she hopefully finds out they're having a girl (oh please please please ).

At least they are actually working to provide clean water and not hiding their true intentions behind a catchy name like "Water for Life".Dailybuzz24 wrote:Our local youth group is also on the Cambodia bandwagon.

And to be clear, I don't completely love the idea of Christian missions in forgiven countries but I'm not totally against it either. There are a lot of charities I'd chose to donate to over this. What I don't like with Water for Life and the bump's involvement is that they literally never explained that it's not about getting clean drinking water and their viewers are way too young and naive to figure it out themselves and make an informed decision if that's the charity they want to be donating to.

Re: DailyFirstWorldProblems (Part 73)
I saw the not only were the bumps and K and C at this movie premier but so were Cassie and Tara Lynn. Got me thinking. How do these people get invited to this stuff? He really is a no body outside of YouTube.
I did a quick google search of just the movie name and the location. There was an ad for Craig's list listing tickets for $500/each for the movie and after party. Then I found this:

This really does explain a lot and knowing how much Bryan loves to throw around $$$. I wouldn't be surprised if he looks at this as a career move...be seen at this stuff and maybe someone might remember him.
They're probably all staying up there since the lumps have that event the next day.
Almost the worst part is knowing that they're probably to write it ALL off because it's work related. These are probably what all those business meetings in LA are about.

Re: DailyFirstWorldProblems (Part 73)
The charity is called Water of Life. The phrase "water of life" is a Christian reference to the Holy Spirit (as per this Wikipedia article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_of_ ... istianity)). So it's not necessarily misleading for Christians, but it definitely would be to someone who isn't familiar with the concept.liz749 wrote: At least they are actually working to provide clean water and not hiding their true intentions behind a catchy name like "Water for Life".

Re: DailyFirstWorldProblems (Part 73)
They did say it was for a school/orphanage but due to the name (which is actually water of life, sorry I misstated it) a ton of people thought it was for helping to get clean water. I saw it in the comments on their videos and on the gofundme. Of course that's stupidity of the viewers part for not researching before donating but most of their viewers are kids and were only making donations (or bugging their parents about it) because they wanted the rewards (signed cards, shirts, Twitter shoutouts, Skype meetings, raffle) from the bumps. The part I don't love about it is the huge Christian ministries aspect of it was never made clear to viewers (unless you research on your one) that a lot of the funds go towards religious initiatives which have been shown to sometimes be more detrimental to people in third world countries than helpful. Bryan talked all about building all this stuff to help the people but check out their latest Facebook post. It's all about trying to spread Christianity to the Cambodian people. In my opinion, there's a big difference here.sarahelizabeth_1 wrote:I thought they said it was for schools?liz749 wrote:At least they are actually working to provide clean water and not hiding their true intentions behind a catchy name like "Water for Life".Dailybuzz24 wrote:Our local youth group is also on the Cambodia bandwagon.

Obviously it's not a terrible organization and I'm sure they do do some great stuff but I just think a lot of the viewers and donators were pretty unaware of the fact that a lot of the money would actually be used for "discipleship", as their website puts it. Obviously it comes down to what your personal beliefs are on faith based charities of this sort, but for me, I didn't realize it was this type of organization until doing my own research, and it's not something I'd personally support. The description the bumps gave left out some of these facts. There are lots of other campaigns and charities working in Cambodia where the money more directly benefits the people and doesn't require them to convert to any religion to receive aide. Again, not totally hating on the charity or that the bumps did something charitable but just sharing my opinion and it still felt a little disingenuous to me.

Anyways on a lighter note, Cassie at least kind of looks cute for her personal style and I can see what she was trying to go for with her outfit but her friend is literally dressed for a business interview, not a movie premiere! I think Missy should skip her next monthly mommy makeover and help Cassie get a makeover.

Re: DailyFirstWorldProblems (Part 73)
One issue with the Water of LIfe fundraiser I think was the fact that there is another charity, Water For Life, which fundraises to build wells etc. in places such as Cambodia. Until the screenshot above I was looking at the water for Life website and I was so confused how people found out it was a Christian mission. I think the Bumps may have exploited this by not correcting people, knowing that if people did google it incorrectly, they would get a non-religious charity, meaning more viewers were likely to donate

Did anybody see how badly dressed Cassie and her friend were at the premiere, it looked like they were 45 and going to work in a office.

Re: DailyFirstWorldProblems (Part 73)
Sorry for the second post, I have only joined the forum recently so I wasn't here when the fundraiser was on, did he ever explain why the funds dropped from $83,456 to $68,315?

Wow. And that looks like Bryan in his own "profile pic" you'd think you'd have a really attractive person you're cutting featured there.Aleksa710 wrote:So I never posted before but I've been reading here for a long time.
