I think Ollie is Bryan's favorite because he looks just like Bryan. That feeds right into Bryan's "look at me" ego. But I wonder if the opposite is true for Finn? I think Finn looks so much like Jimmy that it reminds Missy of when her parents brought Jimmy home, and it took the attention away from her! Lol! I know I'm reaching! But the fact that Finn wasn't born when or in the manner that Missy wanted, combined with the fact that he looks like her interloper brother, might make an immature person like Missy not treat him as well as the Miracle Child Ollie. That's my theory, and I'm sticking to it!

I know this isn't the right thread, but I do think missy is better than Ellie is on the favoritism. It's bad for both of them, but I think Ellie is much worse with Jackson than Missy is with Finn.

I definitely think Bryan reads here. His timing is too uncanny if not. I bet he reads all his friends threads too.

I have 3. I wouldn't really call it favor but I give a bit more attention to the baby then the older ones. I love them all the same.

I have 2 kids (5 year old and 1 year old) and i absolutely do not favor one over the other! They are different ages so obviously they have different needs. But as far as missy goes i have always been concerned about the way she treats finn. Ever since he was born its like they have never had a bond. In one of his early updates like around 2 months it just really stood out to me that when she would look at him its like she was looking right through him. No connection at all. And he would just smile that adorable smile and it wouldnt phase her. Idk maybe im being over dramatic lol

The problem with Missy and Bryan isn't really that they favor Ollie more than Finn, but that they just don't seem to care for him at all. It would be one thing if they liked Ollie just a little more than Finn, I think a lot of people who are perfectly good parents do that without even realizing it, but their favoritism is too obvious. It's kind of like...they already had a son so they seem to be like, "I already have one of these, why do I need another?"

I think if they ever have a girl, she will be loved more than both of them because she'll be what Missy always wanted. I also feel like Bryan would have preferred having just girls.

Then she says she was bummed because he saw and thought of food.....yeah...he's 1....get real Missy...you don't do anything with the poor kid but nurse him anyway....everyone else takes care of him so why would he want to do anything with you?? And the facts that not only was he "overdue" and didn't come out at 37 weeks all tiny and perfect like he was supposed to, he wasn't a girl!
I wonder if part of the reason she and Bryan still rag about him coming "late" is that maybe she thinks if he had been born earlier, he would have been smaller, and she would have gotten her VBAC. Bryan and she both said something around his birthday about how he "should have been born sooner", and Bryan called him "stubborn".

I have two boys with a similar age gap to missy. They are almost 3 and almost 1. I definitely don't favor one over the other although the 1 year old does get more of my attention because he is still a baby and into everything right now/just learning how to walk.

I agree. When I watch the vlogs there's like something not right with missy and finns relationship. I feel like I'm always questioning if she truly loves him or not. I mean, I'm sure she does to some extent, he is her child but it's like night and day difference with how she acted/acts with Ollie. And in her update with Finn she said he eats a wider variety of food than Ollie did at this age but I remember her buying fresh organic produce and making her own baby food. That to me is a more loving thing to do than constantly feed your baby junk.

I have three boys - 7, 3 and 7 months. I absolutely do not favor one over the other two. I love them all differently, but equally. The 7 year old gets less hands on time than his brother's because he's old enough and mature enough to do things like bathe himself and make his own snacks. But we do special things together that his brothers can't yet do. Same goes for my other two...the baby does get more attention because he is more needy, but that's just the stage he's in now. So I guess they get different treatment based on their ages/stages, but equal love.

I just can't understand Missy & Bryan's attitude toward Finn. He's an after thought most of the time and it's really sad.

Also I feel like the bumps do favor Ollie and spoil him more to avoid tantrums but I don't think Finn is as neglected as everyone says. Seeing the 1 year video I can tell missy loves him but may be annoyed with breastfeeding at this point. (I was for sure!)

One thing that's for sure is that Finn needs more screen time! They don't film him nearly enough.

Watched the Finn update & omg he is so adorable! He seems so sweet and innocent. Idk why but he reminds me of a munchkin from the Wizard of Oz lol.
