Phil and Alex: Boob Juice Infatuation & Heart Defect Exploitation! | Part 11
Re: Phil and Alex: Boob Juice Infatuation & Heart Defect Exploitation! | Part 11
Their view count on their videos this year are significantly lower than what they were getting on videos last year (ie Cassidy's heart videos). Not surprising since they're boring and aimless, and it shows that they're trying to figure out where to go next - on instagram they promoted their newest video a day after they posted it (it was doing that poorly) and now they're asking everyone what they're interested in seeing next.
Its fitting that their word this year is "RE." It actually means "back." They're trying everything they can to go "back" to when they had content for their channel.

(whoops double post!)
Thinking back to when I first started following them in 2018, they really did help me explore options when I was finding out information about my own possibilities of fertility. I liked seeing their open adoptions and learned a lot about IVF. They had a really interesting story that was worth sharing. I feel like they joined YT with a really good purpose and then look it too far. Once they tasted a little bit of success, they quit their jobs and started shaping their lives around YT content (the RV and now homesteading). It would have been better (for everyone, including the girls) had they just stopped a few years ago. We're now on the third or fourth crappy sequel where they're just trying to ride the YT gravy train that allows them to not have real jobs.

There's lots of "re" words that describe them nicely.citbcitw wrote: ↑Sat Jan 23, 2021 10:44 am Their view count on their videos this year are significantly lower than what they were getting on videos last year (ie Cassidy's heart videos). At the moment they are doing a combo of rebranding their story to sell, and regurgitating old material to see what's still popular.
They are reprehensible.

New vlog alert, crazy cuts, lots of yammering on about spring garden, hidden homestead... blah blah blah... they are building an office/recording studio/guest room under the enclosed patio.
Also that will free up Philips office for a baby room.

And it'll free up the RV as the guest space.Or maybe both sets of parents can stay at the same timeHere_2_talk wrote: ↑Sun Jan 24, 2021 4:04 pm New vlog alert, crazy cuts, lots of yammering on about spring garden, hidden homestead... blah blah blah... they are building an office/recording studio/guest room under the enclosed patio.

Why did they buy a house with only 3 bedrooms? I assume Cassidy will eventually move out of P&A’s bedroom. The older girls probably share a room. And they have a guest room. Where does everyone sleep? I guess when she spits out the next bio baby, Kinsley and Alex will get moved to the RV. “Yay, girls! You get your own big girl apartment!”

Also, when the Nashville tornados happened last year, they acted like it was in their back yard. The closest one was in Lonelson, which is a good 50 miles from P&A. Most of the damage was in and around Cookeville (where I went to college at TN Tech!). Just another example of lying for attention.

I would think that all the experienced homesteaders are laughing their heads off at these two idiots, that is if they have time. P&A have no idea of the hard work involved in living sustainably. A root cellar, oh my!

Oh yes. We actually live about 50-75 percent off our land and I cringe every single time I see them. I am still trying to figure out why the needed to drive 1.5hrs to buy a broad fork when ultimately you can do the same task with a regular pitch fork.Angelsong01 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 25, 2021 1:46 am I would think that all the experienced homesteaders are laughing their heads off at these two idiots, that is if they have time. They are doing the no till garden because “roots and refuge” is doing it. We have one and it works great but it still needs plenty of tending etc. oh don’t get me started on the rootceller.they haven’t even grown anything yet to actually can one single item. She has no idea how much labor it takes to can stuff. Let’s wait and see how she is going to try and can stuff in her instant pot.

I'm so happy we have experienced self sufficient posters on here, we can all see how not self sufficient they are already, this is going to be fun watching how long this lastsAmsouthernbell wrote:Oh yes. Re: Phil and Alex: Boob Juice Infatuation & Heart Defect Exploitation! | Part 11
I really hope that if they get meat chickens they will get someone to butcher them for them. Depending on the breed if you don’t butcher them within the appropriate time frame they suffer and die of complications. Time management is also not their strong suit. A dairy goat will also suffer if not milked at the same timeframe each day. We have a dairy goat and she gets milked everyday between 6-6:30am and the same in the evening. And it doesn’t matter if I have been up all night with our baby or not. A homestead needs to be tended to every day one way or another. The cauliflower will fail btw. It’s already to warm for that in the area they live in
Re: Phil and Alex: Boob Juice Infatuation & Heart Defect Exploitation! | Part 11
It's funny how "traveling is not on the forefront" right now because of "the way the world is", so her parents can't go back home and have to stay and help them. But all of the gatherings that they've had and the travel that their family has done over the last 6 months has been perfectly fine. Only when it's most convenient to not travel do they mention covid!
Also, I think someone else mentioned this - what happened to their plan to use their stash of toilet paper rolls for the seeding containers? Wouldn't it be great if they just said something like, "oh that didn't work because xyz," but instead their audience is just left with them boasting about ideas they have to be sustainable that they don't actually follow through on. Sham after sham after sham.

I don't get the feeling Phil is crazy about this new lifestyle. He's realizing just how much work it is.This was Alex's dream, imo. And he shoulders most of the outdoor work for it,while Alex gets help w the kids and house

Re: Phil and Alex: Boob Juice Infatuation & Heart Defect Exploitation! | Part 11
I think you're spot on! How could they ever think that this lifestyle was for them. Phil is such an extrovert (for me as an introvert watching him is sometimes like watching a documentary about some weird species that leaves you with your jaw dropped). Homesteading is often tedious manual labour, mostly alone, very little outside communication. He doesn't have the personality nor the still set for that. Even without covid he would suffer with that lifestyle.sondraK wrote: ↑Mon Jan 25, 2021 3:30 pmNot long, imo. They'll be stocking up from Costco bf too long.Root celler be damned!FlowersTar 68 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 25, 2021 6:04 amI'm so happy we have experienced self sufficient posters on here, we can all see how not self sufficient they are already, this is going to be fun watching how long this lastsAmsouthernbell wrote:

I get wanting to raise your kids connected to nature. They could have achieved that with a house with a reasonable sized backyard with a small kitchen garden just for fun and to learn those skills with time...
My grandparents lived somewhat self-sustainable. They worked and worked. No weekends or slacking. I just don't see that with those two slackers. You need to have it together... someone who does this well is lisa from farmhouse on boone. She know what she's doing, is a hard worker and slowly and strategically works towards her goals. She comes from a farming background and has the necessary soll set.

Have you seen the "real" morning routine they posted. Getting out of her pyjama is a major accomlishment for her ...
Also so not relatable - what mother of kids that age has that much alone time in the bathroom . I consider myself lucky if I could go to the loo without spectators . (Most of us do not have other adults to care for our kids in our home.)

Did she ever say what time it was when they got up?it was very much daylight when Alex rolled out of bed.how does she think these homesteading thing is gonna happen a night? Because it certainly doesn’t.
