It looks like her MIL (Layton's mom) is in for a visit. On Instagram she calls her her BFF. What? This chic is a little psycho.

Re: LoraandLayton PART 2
I don't think they should adopt. What if they end up with a child that has developmental or mental issues?
Plus, can you imagine her explaining why she doesn't want to adopt a girl or have girls in general? I would deny her if I were an adoption agency. She's got her hands full enough with three under five and her extreme anxiety issues.

Re: LoraandLayton PART 2
Unless you're going through foster care or privately, it costs a fortune to adopt. Good luck with that Lora.
Re: LoraandLayton PART 2
Yeah, the adoption agency can check out some of her videos on how she flips out at the thought of a girl. Or better yet, they can just watch to see how psycho she is in general.

Re: LoraandLayton PART 2
Or how overwhelmed she already is with three. Girl can't parent with out being on some type of medication to get her through the day. My guess is the only reason she wants to adopt is because she worked so hard to get her dream body.

Re: LoraandLayton PART 2
Lots of moms say they want to adopt and then never end up doing it. I think they say it to make it look like they are these amazing people who care so much about global overpopulation and such, but they're just trying to project an image. They don't actually plan on going through with it.junepher wrote:I don't think they should adopt. What if they end up with a child that has developmental or mental issues?

Well, her dependency on happy pills should soon put a stop to that process.

What a smart and crazy way to get attention off that video.
It was a sweet video besides Lispy popping in and out. I can't stand to listen to her.

Re: LoraandLayton PART 2
Would an agency even give them a good chance? Adopting seems brutal and from what I've watched of them they wouldnt even make good applicants.
Maybe they should adopt an dog instead. Hopefully that didnt come off too judging lol!

Re: LoraandLayton PART 2
Here's the thing. Adoption in this country is extremely difficult & expensive. The wait list for a caucasian boy or girl is extremely competitive. Especially if you want closed adoption over an open one & I don't think anybody placing their child up for an open adoption is going to pick somebody who is able & already has three children. They will most likely pick a person who was unable to conceive on their own. Now fostering a child is a completely different story. As far as I know to my knowledge it's not very difficult to become a foster parent & the government pays you. If they are placed with a child they would like to adopt they would then have to lawyer up & hope both parents are extremely unfit. Adopting from another country is also extremely expensive & time-consuming sometimes years. She obviously did not look into this well enough before mentioning that. That was a bold statement to make to all those viewers who now want to follow her adoption journey.
I think adopting is wonderful especially if it's a foster child that needs a good home. Obviously Lora could provide a better home than an orphanage & it's a nice thought but so much goes into fostering a child. Foster children have lots of emotional problems. A rookie family getting placed with a child under the age of four with no emotional problems is rare. Not to mention they both would have to attend a foster parenting class.
Lora being the type of person who would prefer a boy over a girl for such insignificant & superficial reasons is enough of a reason for her not to adopt. Especially if fostering you can't really say... No females, Only Caucasian. I can't see Lora as the type of person to have a cute little girl from Ethiopia in her perfect coordinated family photos. I know that sounds harsh but it's just my opinion. What is she trying to follow cute girls hairstyles for more YT fame?

Re: LoraandLayton PART 2
I was seriously considering adoption for a while. I actually had severe health complications postpartum with both kids and shouldn't really have anymore kids naturally. Even I ended up pretty much scared off...
First off, private adoptions (where you get a womb wet newborn) are costly (20,000 or more) and there is the harsh reality of failed adoptions (birth mother changes mind) and you can be out so much money. Plus the wait time is long depending on your standards.
Foster care/dss children are hard because while it is free, you have to deal with fostering this child that you fall in love with and then spend 2 years wondering if they are your forever child because dss WANTS the kids to go back to their biological parents. They will give drug addicts a thousand chances to get their kids back. It is such a hard and frustrating journey. Plus newborns are hard to come by and the older kids do tend to have issues...of course they do. Just think what kind of life they lived.
Second, I don't know about the private adoption process but DSS will NOT let you foster or adopt if you are demanding on what kind of kid you want. If you say you want a Caucasian male baby, they frown on that. They are also not too fond of people with mental issues adopting.

Re: LoraandLayton PART 2
I've considered adopting a foster child years down the road bc I feel we could provide a really good home for a child in need. But I've known 2 families that have had their hearts broken by the process and one said they will never try it again no matter what. I had even meet the 2 children that lived with them for a while and even though they were there less than a year, they were thriving. I knew the details of the situation and what they were going back to and it was sickening to me. Not to mention, what must have went through the poor children's heads. One minute they are in this "perfect" family with needs/wants met, the next going back to a shitty situation.
I also don't know if I am capable of meeting the needs of child that's been through sexual or emotional abuse.

Re: LoraandLayton PART 2
My husband worked in social work after college. The things he saw and told me..horrible. A child's parents have to be really bad to have their rights taken away/up for adoption. These kids have major needs and it isn't easy. They have been scarred.
