But I will add, I now live in a country where health insurance is income based and I prefer it. Even though I had great health care in the states, it seems more fair for everyone if it is income based. Plus, if you can't pay those bills in the states I think it will just raise the costs and the debt of everyone if they go unpaid.

Yeah our taxes are way higher (I'm in Aust too) but I would take that any day of the week rather than stress about doctor and hospital bills if I had to take my kid to the emergency room.
When I had my daughter I was in hospital in preterm labour for 4 days and then she was in NICU for 10 days, which in Australia cost me nothing but I would HATE to know what that would cost in the states... Thousands and thousands I'm sure. We are definitely lucky.

I was in the hospital for 5 days total, 3 before I had my daughter and 2 after. She was in the NICU for 4 days. One day I got a look at my primary insurance and saw $22,000 but I'm not sure if that included her NICU stay or not. She did not require much though. She was mainly in there for monitoring. I live in the US.

Wow that bill had to include her NICU stay cus that's super expensive.

I've read the average cost for a vaginal delivery is about $8,000, add about 2 grand if you have to have a C section.

We had an issue with our insurance where they didn't cover anything because I didn't notify them I was pregnant 30 days before I had my son...(don't ever go with blue shield insurance), and they didn't cover a single dollar. The hospital sent us a bill for $6,000.

We wrote a letter to our hospital asking for financial help or a payment plan, and our hospital got rid of the entire bill. It's a religious hospital, idk if that made the difference..but we were very lucky and thankful.

Hospitals are usually very flexible with payment plans. My friend is on a plan where she pays $20 a month haha

I think religious hospitals are sometimes the best to go to bill wise. I had a blood test that was over $2,000 and they covered it all for me. I was so grateful. I was paying $110 a month for insurance and they refused to pay 1 penny because my disease isn't textbook.

Agree! I love the Faux-Hawk look, it's cute. Not a fan at all of slicked to the side hair, not just for Kaden, but in general. Jess should think - in high school how many teens did she know that would slick their hair to the side like that?

Totally agree with you ladies! It's so 90's! Keep him up to date like Kyson, Jessica. I think she's trying to pull the new hair do which is slicked to the side, BUT she doesn't get him the proper cut, it's supposed to be nicely cut from the sides and top!!! But she's too lazy to get him a proper hair cut.

does anyone read katie bower? not a vlog and she is married/one baby daddy but she just got pregnant with her 4th, 3rd in 3 years and 2nd accident. how does this happen? She claims she got pregnant with #3 because she didnt know breastfeeding wasnt a form of birth control and she is now pregnant with #4 but didnt find out until she was 22 weeks

Just got around to watching the "snow day" video. It was great to see Kaden smiling so wide. Also, I think it's amazing that Jess' her dad, half brother, Wendy and Glen can all come together for a good time without things being awkward. If only that were the norm for more "split families". Good for them!

Jessica can be in her moms insurance still because of her age. I'm not sure how the kids work. All I know is that would be crazy if all the kids were on Jessica's moms insurance. The kids I would think are on medical or whatever it's called in Cali. Without Jessica having a job there is no way she is paying for insurance.
