I have to be honest usually I'm not someone to talk about people's looks but when I first saw David I was wondering why he was with Vanessa? They're just totally different ends of the spectrum but that really doesn't mean much when it comes to relationships, I just don't find Vanessa very attractive where as David is, and he probably could have a chance with some... pretty girls? Just my opinion. It's not that V isn't attractive.... IDK what I'm trying to say here.

That's what I'm saying! I'm not trying to be rude, just honest. Vanessa is not the most attractive. She's certainly not ugly but like I said in my other post, David was very very flirty with not just me, but a lot of other women too. Idk. And I'm certainly not calling myself attractive, but come on. Either he's unhappy in the relationship or he's just a flirt. Lol.

Who said anything about them breaking up? I don't believe anyone said that actually. If you read what I said, it was a year ago. And with that, it would make sense to me that he didn't talk about her at work because she's annoying.

We've had a person on here claiming to know them and basically writing fan fiction, so excuse me if I don't automatically believe that you know either of them. If you can't prove it, I'll remain skeptical. David always looks annoyed on camera. I can't think of a single video with him in it where he didn't seem annoyed. Maybe we read nervous or self-conscious as annoyed though, it's hard to know. I don't think it has anything at all to do with Vanessa besides the point that she likes doing videos and he doesn't. She's said as much before, and he asked not to be filmed. Fair enough. So if she manages to get him in a video, the result is he's just not comfortable. That's the way it's always been.

Sorry. I accidentally hit post before I was done typing. I was going to finish with, I have never met Vanessa, I did work with David previously. The only proof that I have would be confirming that he is / was a security officer, I did work at the place where he was a security officer. As I stated before I have not spoken to David in over a year so I'm not sure what he does currently. I'm not here to claim that I know them on a personal level or to try to "one up" anybody by saying that i know them. I'm just here with my own opinion on the situations Vanessa posts on YouTube. I'm not here to cause a disagreement.

I wouldn't worry about it, you've been nothing but polite. The one girl that pretended she knew Vanessa posted really rude things about her. It can be interesting to have insider opinions, don't feel like you're not wanted here

Because he can't remove the ring? Didn't they go days without contact last summer? (Summer of 2013) I remember Vanessa being upset about his absence & lack of visitation in her vlogs (It was the basis of my thoughts that *she* could do better - find someone more mature & committed) From what Vanessa has shown us, David HAS been reluctant in certain aspects of their lives together. I have no inclination as to why, nor do I care, but you cannot deny the proof she's provided.

Look I have no idea what the state of their relationship is and I *personally* don't care. Sometimes the blind defense on this board is as bad as the blind hatred. None of us *KNOW* Vanessa or David. Maybe he's happy, maybe he's not. Maybe he is incredibly committed, maybe he's a cheat! Maybe he moves that ring to different finger each time he gets to work, MAYBE he takes it off!
Maybe he doesn't. Maybe he likes to keep his personal life private (does he realize in that case then, how much Vanessa shares? I assume he knows, which makes me hesitant to believe he's THAT private)

Either way, I wish people could agree to disagree. Or at least think prior to posting. Just because he wears a ring in Vanessa presence hardly means he's incapable of cheating.

I agree if you're basing your opinion on looks. Personality, meh some of the most opposite people can be truly, madly, deeply in love.

I do wonder about David's commitment, but not due to any of the above reasons.
I know young relationships can be tumultuous but based on info Vanessa has put out there, I can't help but wonder. He seems more involved NOW, but that wasn't always the way.
IMO he's still redeeming himself.

I understand both sides. For me its more than the ring, and knowing his past behavior he acts differently now. He also comes home to the apartment and sleeps in the bed everyday. Spends lots of time withV& Lily. If he wanted out as I said, it would be all to easy to move back with mom&dad. We don't know the intricate details of the relationship. I'm just saying from what I've see via youtube, David seems quite content where he is. I don't see anything forceful. They genuinely appear to be happy.

But can you agree that *sometimes* people can remain in a relationship though they are unhappy?
Cheaters often still all of the things you mentioned. I am not saying I think David is a cheat, I'm just saying as there is easily no proof he is a cheat there is also no proof he isn't ...

Vanessa and David seem as happy and Jess and Chris. Or Charles and A3. Whether they are truly happy I don't know! And I'm okay with not knowing!

The basic premise on this board is to assume that liked couples are happy, and unliked couples are just staying together for the kids. Whatever. There's no evidence to even suggest that David and Vanessa are unhappy. Or that just David is unhappy. And why just David? Why can't the possibility exist that Vanessa might not be happy with him? I've suggested that one myself once actually. The general assumption in this thread is always that he's just staying with her because of Lily. That's the way it's always been. Even after they get married, people will be taking bets. I mean who knows what the future holds, but they chose each other and are committed to each other in the here and now. It's funny how people assume what my real opinion is, or that I'm always in favour of things. I've called David out multiple times in the past. I'm not totally happy with him. Vanessa is happy with him. Que sera, sera is my opinion on everything.

But I believe he changed & loves Vanessa. Why would he propose? But honestly, who really knows about others relationships. People can hide problems.
