Missy did say in a vlog that she purposely spoke with a lisp as a child because she liked how it sounded better and/or how it felt, so yeah lisps can't usually be corrected, but hers most likely can. Her lisp is a learned behaviour, it's not a natural one.

I thought I remembered something about that too, that could explain why Cassie has one too, she probably heard her big sister speaking that way and copied ( just an idea because I don't know much about lisps)

You're right!! Thats it! I could remember her exact wording, but it had to do with snakes saying "hiss" and her saying her s's the same way. I'm sorry but her mother should have nipped that in the fucking ass as soon as it started. Now she forever sounds like an idiot.

No way. I don't believe that for a minute. How could she consciencely speak like that whenever she talks? There's no way. I highly doubt her lisp is "on purpose".
She probably just said that because she was ashamed of her lisp and had to play it off like any 12 year old would, "well you can make fun of me but I do it on purpose so jokes on you neener neener !!"

I think it's totally possible she was an idiot and taught herself to speak with a lisp. It's the same as an accent, if you're around it enough, or in her case, enforce it enough, you will start picking it up without thinking about it, then eventually come naturally, I have family who moved from Canada to Austrailia years ago and now have the thickest accent imaginable. Her mom doesn't seem to be the sharpest tool in the shed either, so she probably thought it was cute and left it alone. I seem to remember Missy saying that it was when she was started learning her letter sounds etc, so that would have been around 2-3, at that age she could very well have have learnt the lisp and kept it for life at that point.

Uh you most certainly can have a self-induced lisp. If she thought it was cool/fun, and did it enough, then eventually she would have begun doing it without even thinking about it. Just like we learned how to say "s" the proper way and speak as such, she learned the improper way and speaks as such. Mithy is an idiot and probably demanded her mom allow her to speak however she wanted.

I like how Missy says Oliver was telling her he needed to "poop" all day but not one video showing him signing OR talking so how exactly is that? Exaggerating is not truth telling...just sayin Good luck potty training a baby who says nothing more than Eh eh all day.

Watch poor Ollie will be forced to potty train to makes sure his lazy parents don't have to change two babies because you know they are SO busy during the day laying on the couch. Maybe you should hold off a little longer before having another baby then. Make some time for the one you have.

Oh gosh, I'm going to laugh when they try to potty train Ollie. Potty training takes A LOT of time and patience! Patience I don't see either one of them having. Something tells me Mimi and Papa are going to be "coming over" a lot during the whole process.

I seriously feel like Oliver isn't ready AT all for potty training. He doesn't seem like he understands things well enough yet to get the concept of it. It's fine that she got the potty for him to get comfortable with, but I doubt anything will happen for a while.

'i watched it, so you don't have to!' featuring the dailybumps vlog "A NEW JOURNEY BEGINS!" day 711:
vlog starts with a bunch of viewers saying 'happy hump dayyyyyyyyeh' just like bryan, and then 'good morning guys'
missy's in the kitchen blabbering. while oliver is supposed to be napping. her hair and makeup is done already again. surprise, surprise.
shot of bryan's feet. he's praising slippers.
grumpy cat calendar time.
missy went out to target which we didn't see because there's no vlog footage, she returns and bryan gives her a kiss.
missy apparently really loves bryan because she brought him home lunch - flame broiler, which opened up just by their house.
ollie just woke up from his nap, so missy goes in and does the whole 'gooooood moooooorning'
karma sneezes everytime he goes into ollie's room because missy puts lavender to help the kid sleep. karma runs out of the room and missy calls him back in to ask him why he hates the smell so much. this bit ends with missy asking if ollie wants to go eat lunch.
the next shot is of ollie all dressed in his room, assuming lunch eaten/not eaten.
they go downstairs to bryan facing with his back to the camera, he turns around and he's holding a toddler potty. he says "babe, this thing isn't big enough"
so yeah... they're beginning to potty train him. considering he cannot verbally communicate yet, this is going to go down so well.
they talk about wanting to upgrade his potty to one with an automatic flusher.
bryan seems to struggle with opening the box "apparently they don't want you getting into it" it's a wonder those lazy asses didn't invite missy's dad over to open the fucking box.
they complain that once ollie is out of diapers, they'll probably have another kid in diapers. yay. can't wait.
nope. turns out ollie hadn't had lunch yet. he's mostly inspecting a peanut butter and jelly sandwich while babbling and saying 'nom'.
bryan says 'if anyone wants to translate what he's saying, leave it down in the comments' - since it'd get deleted on there i'll leave it here. i believe he's saying "my parents are fucking idiots who insist on feeding me utter crap i don't like. let me and karma go and live with cassie"
ollie gives high 5s.
bryan makes a quick stop to best buy. he "needed" an extra long iphone charger for when he films some app and game videos for his channel.
cassie and mimi are there, ollie is in his wagon with a jacket sitting with him (missy says it's not even that cold - 80 degrees) but i guess he's packing for when cassie rescues him and karma.
cassie takes ollie out for a walk in his wagon at 5pm. bryan basically slams the door in their faces. bryan starts skipping at the thought of even less responsbility.
more awkward skype calls.
while they're doing skype calls i see karma jumping towards cassie and she clearly gives him a stern 'no!' +1 cassie.
oliver is playing with his potty, they ask him if he wants to go potty and he runs toward them laughing. so they take him to 'go poop' because he's been saying it all day. he doesn't do anything but it's good he's familiarising himself with a potty at an early age. no harm in that.
more skype calls. this time with a kid who must be like, 12. repping most of their fanbase.
missy hula hoops on wii fit while holding ollie.
