That’s why I came here. She kept deleting my comments, even like said neutral ones. It was frustrating.

Or even that time she had a shit show meltdown about what we say here. How about instead of using it as a way to be offended (remember she went live on IG and listed the things we said in the most shocked and offended “CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS?” way possible) she COULD use it as a way to connect with her audience and grow.

“hey viewers, here are some issues people have brought up recently. I want this channel to be helpful for viewers, so what do you think? How can I improve and make it a better experience for you? Would 1 ad per week be better than 2, or so you guys not care?” Etc. Not that hard.

I wonder if she has ever considered that perhaps this forum exists because she will not allow it to happen in her comment section. Viewers should be allowed to discuss the content with one another. Since she shuts it down on her channel, people come here. I think she is VERY controlling and has a hard time accepting opinions that do not align with her own.

It is because she censors it. For the most part, only allows the praise and supportive comments to stay. Sometimes leaves defensive replies herself or lets her minions blast any detractor. Hostile environment to point out any issues or pose a different view. Does not encourage discourse. In my opinion, ALL comments should stay if civil. Only in very specific circumstances such as threats or profanity should be subject to removal. She should not try to be the thought police. She uses a public forum to post videos and make money so her viewers should be entitled to share their response to her content.
I think it would be more honest of her to turn off the comments altogether but then she would likely lose a bunch of subscribers.

Everything everyone is saying is legit. And comes with evidence to support our thoughts. Okay my zoolander comment was catty lol but we’re here because we all at some point enjoyed her content and then the second we had something critical to say, we were silenced.

Well guess what? She can’t silence us here.

Wouldn’t she want to engage with the more intelligent viewers who don’t always see things at face value with her. We are her “equals” yet she wont tolerate even the littlest bit of critiquing.

Wonder why her online girl gang is now down to two girls?

Instead she wants viewers with little intelligence to just “like and subscribe!”

I really think she needs to address these things in a video.

We only represent a small percentage of people who feel this way. There are more of us. I also noticed she’s close to 200K subscribers and I bet that’s why she’s so weird about this whole baby reveal video.

One of her fans very kindly noted that she seems to be dragging this baby reveal out a bit and of course she was defensive. Never will admit that they may have a point.

Poor Dan. Seriously being married to someone who is always right. Must be so exhausting.

Yeah, I think she is missing an important piece of the puzzle. These lifestyle type vlog channels get viewers/subscribers not just from watching the creator's content but from the community created by the viewers in the comment section. They can discuss the video but also ask for advice etc. She says she wants to create a 'community' but really what she wants is more like an elite club of followers/devout fans who constantly agree and compliment.

I am curious how this will all play out over the next few months. I originally found Elle from her sleep training videos as well, and really liked her tips and found a lot of things very helpful as a first time mom. She seemed more down to earth in those vlogs, back before she had Cohen. Back then I really felt like she had a lot of good advice to give.

Now, I like to think I don't hate watch her but I feel that's where it's heading. Her changing personality gives me whiplash. I value authenticity above all else, and as much as she likes to spew how authentic and real and relatable she is, I wouldn't call her that anymore. It's even more obvious how hard she tries when you take a quick look at her instagram page.

The first red flag for me was, of course, the infamous leaked unedited video of her and Ford from a few years ago. She did apologize though, and I thought, well everybody makes mistakes and deserves a second chance, right? Then the second big red flag was when I actually purchased her .pdf for sleep training when I first started following her. It was pure desperation, and after reading through it I was honestly shocked. For $25 I basically got fed information that was already on her blog and in some of her sleep training videos. She basically just copy and pasted a lot of the information she was already giving out for free with a few added directions of "wait this long at this time etc". The .pdf was 24 pages long (which means I basically paid $1 x page ) but most of that was her talking about her two children's sleep history, the own sleep schedule she has them follow, and a whole section of "whysleep train". Yes, Elle, I'm pretty sure any parent that is purchasing your sleep training guide already knows why they are sleep training. Sigh... To say I was disappointed was an understatement. The third red flag was the marriage video this past summer and it just seems to keep going downhill from here.

I'm surprised that any company wants to partner with this person. I don't believe anything she says anymore. Disagree with me? Well here's proof. I took screenshots of two vlogs that irritated me. In one vlog, she states that: "This channel as it stands costs money to keep running" (begging viewers for $), in another, she says that her channel is "extremely profitable". There's a Shes on top video where she brags about making more money than other channels who have more subscribers/views.

Well it can't be both costing you money and "extremely profitable". Those are opposing statements. So she's obviously lying in one.



The bottom line is I think Elle Lindquist would do anything for money. She has proven this before and is doing it more and more. She will be a corporate sell out to the highest bidder. She partners with any brand for money. She only fraternizes with famous youtubers for views/money. She exploits her kids for money. She stayed in her relationship even though she hated her husband.... for money. Does she do other stuff for money? Yeah, I bet: Vegan who buys a leather purse, minimalist consumerist. Have a baby for money/subscribers/views? I wouldn't be totally surprised. She is not authentic or believable.

The most perplexing thing about this is SHE HAS MONEY. She has lots of money! She wears nice clothes, she has a nice house, her husband has a good job. It's like, what more do you want? It makes me think of the Gold, Guns, Girls song by Metric. Is it ever going to be enough?

Wow. I'm glad I didn 't waste my $25 on that. She had helpful insights for sure which made me watch more of her videos. Now I can only watch a quarter of every video. The girl spa trip videos I cannot be bothered to watch at all. I know she was upset nobody watched those. Christmas is such a busy family time and I would rather spend my time and money on Christmas activities with my kids or dates with my husband.

I really hope she reads here and realize we were all viewers that liked her but got disconnected with her overtime because of the unrelatable things she does to gain more views/money.

I mean, I would. Who couldn’t resist seeing what others REALLY think about you? But I’d also not take everything so personally and actually consider the feedback. It’s clear many of us were/are viewers. I’d happily go back to fan status if she was still the same nice person I started watching 5 years ago.

Basically she was her real self.

She was snappy with Forde and expecting him to perform on command. Completely different voice, tone, attitude. Nothing like the camera version we normally see.

There was one vlog she uploaded about “it could have been us, we could have died” referring to a terrible car accident that happened. According to her, it occurred 15 minutes from her house, on a route they normally drive on.

Let me tell you, the way she exploited that accident that left a father and daughter dead was so disgusting. To say “that could have been us” and make an entire vlog about it just shows how low she will go to gain views.

The tragedy happened on a very busy city street that thousands and thousands of people drive everyday, Elle and her family were absolutely NO WHERE near the accident when it happened. Like not even “omg we just drove there 5 minutes ago”, she even said they were no where near there at the time.

Then like a year later Dan got into a car accident and he called her up, so what does she do? She vlogs as she’s approaching the accident, plays some sappy music to go along with the footage. She titled it “near death experience”. Luckily Dan only got a goose egg, but of course she followed it up with like 3 more vlogs with titles like “IS HE OK” etc

This women would seriously film a funeral if she thought it would give her views.

Yes there was and she had left that mall already when it happened . It’s literally one of the busiest malls in Canada and gets 50,000 to 100,000 shoppers a day. She’s a shopaholic so spending your time in public places you are bound to see some events.... I’m waiting for “ I SURVIVED ICE STORM 2019 “ but we haven’t had much excitement with weather in Ontario this season.

There’s a rinky dink vlog channel called She’s On Top and they did a two-part episode on Elle. In the second episode, she says she makes up to $15,000 a month. When you see her buying LV bags and expensive clothing (all justified by her as quality over quantity...eyeroll) I have to wonder what she’s complaining about. I’m also wondering when she’s going to give to charity again? My guess is all the charity money went towards funding their fertility treatments.

Her rant about spending money on vlogmas was so selfish. Without her viewers she would not have a livelihood, but god forbid she continue to personally invest in this community she claims to love. I also highly doubt she ever spent $7000 on vlogmas in the past.

Which brings me to another point. She continuously mentions her community and how she wants to promote a place of positivity etc meanwhile she trolls this forum and rants about it on her stories, but also deletes comments and allows her viewers to jump all over anyone who dares to post any criticisms whatsoever. She’s like Ursula the sea witch and her followers are her eels who do her dirty work for her. The girl LOVES drama but she is always careful to keep her nose clean. Although she’s usually dumb enough to contradict or incriminate herself at some point down the road and those of us who are smart enough to see it, will.

All I can say is I’m glad she’s having a girl. In a previous vlog she stated that if #3 was a girl they’d probably stop having kids after that. But if it was a third boy, they’d try for a fourth. I’m super curious about Randy & Anna! I noticed that she liked their gender reveal but she never comments on their posts, mentions them, etc. My theory? They aren’t “big enough” for her anymore. They have a couple thousand followers on IG only and she’s all about the big wigs lately. No time for little guys like R&A. That’s my theory although I wouldn’t be surprised if something happened.

Also GREAT point about promoting a positive culture. Someone criticized her on the gender reveal post (most recent one on IG because there are tons) and her followers jumped on the girl. The girl tagged Elle and said something like “these are the people you have in your community?” And last I saw Elle never replied. If you have a positive community you don’t allow any bullshit, including meanness in your defense. But she secretly loves the drama and she’s narcissistic enough to be thrilled that people care about her enough to attack critics. Even polite critics. She isn’t building a positive community, she’s building a cult of obsessed brainless followers.
