While that may be how it works on a farm, I don't think Missy and Bryan will do that. In fact, I can imagine them trying to sell the chickens once they're older and replacing them with chicks, or giving up on the whole chicken idea. Certainly wouldn't be the first time they give up on something. They shouldn't own chickens anyway with the little care that goes into it.Playsinrain wrote:100% truth, chickens aren't pets, they are food. Just the same with my parents cattle. They have some that are LIKE pets, but guess what? They will be steak and hamburger eventually, thats how things work on a farm. You cannot afford to have livestock that you have to feed on a farm that is no longer producing. Whether that be eggs, milk, babies.. whatever, once they get to the point where they are not making you money, they become food. Thing is, Missy will never have the balls to slaughter or prep a chicken for cooking. So she will have a bunch of old ass chickens doing nothing but eating her feed forever before they finally fall over from old age or from something they pick up from that coop she never cleans.Theirmom wrote:It also kind of bothers me that she keeps insisting that they won't be "having chicken for dinner".lmmomSD wrote: And will someone please tell her that the chickens need light to produce eggs? Of course you will. That's what they're for. When they're done laying, you slaughter before they die of old age or disease. They're not pets, they're livestock. It's wasteful, IMO, to NOT use them for their purpose. What are they going to do? Euthanize and bury EVERY chicken they ever own? No. You're going to eat them. They just don't want to horrify their 10yo viewers.

Re: DailyPregnancySpeculations part 82
only problem is no one is going to buy a chicken that is past laying age, unless they are planning on eating it asap... You are right, they will just give up on them or they will wind up on the same "farm" as Lenny.. And you are 100% correct. they shouldnt even have the chickens, as little as they know about them. I've always wondered if their property is zoned for farm animals? The city could nip that in the bud for them, or if they have an HOA and its restricted...tintin15 wrote://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201702 ... 820bce.jpg

Nah, they'll TOTALLY be eating those chickens someday, after Jim does the dirty work. They just won't mention it. They will quietly replace the Rhode Island Reds over and over again and just hope no one notices.tintin15 wrote:

Missy grew up on a hobby farm. She knows the deal. But they also know that the Tweens will be outraged if they eat the cute widdle chickens.

It's zoned for horses, so chickens are probably OK. I think they are in unincorporated county so the rules are more laxPlaysinrain wrote:only problem is no one is going to buy a chicken that is past laying age, unless they are planning on eating it asap... I had chickens and I could never eat them, they are to me pets. Yes I know chicken is food, but its the same as eating a dog when it dies, I just will never do it.Theirmom wrote:It also kind of bothers me that she keeps insisting that they won't be "having chicken for dinner".lmmomSD wrote: And will someone please tell her that the chickens need light to produce eggs? Same. I would 100% have chickens that are just pets. It wouldn't bother me to waste money on feed for them because that's the case with any pet.BlueMountains wrote:I had chickens and I could never eat them, they are to me pets. I take far better care of any pet I own than Bryan and Missy do though.

i dont think they'll eat their chickens. Missy is a sensitive person, i don't think she would be able to eat them.

I bet this is their career changing opportunity Bryan referenced. I bet they'll get some type of show/feature in it...tml43 wrote:Saw this, and though of DB right away. Maybe their own show on this is right...

Re: DailyPregnancySpeculations part 82
Finn touches the toilet seat and Missy doesn't wash his hands....ewww!!! She put tattoos all over Ollie and it looks super weird....are they running out of ideas on what to do with their kids? Please stop calling it a "play" room - no play ever goes on in there, the kids are just taking care of themselves at this point. There is no real "parental" supervision and it's getting creepy now.
More lego sets?? Okay how about getting some educational toys for Finn and Ollie so that they can play something too!! I find it hilarious that Missy will spend countless hours on building these lego sets but she can't devote that time to being a real mother to her kids and giving them the attention they really need.

Re: DailyPregnancySpeculations part 82
Oh, apparently the tattoos were because they were filming Ollie doing some "Moana" themed thing for "his" channel, but "we don't know when we'll be uploading them". So she was probably covering Ollie with Maui tattoos while Finn was locked in the playroom alone. Of course, Bryan couldn't be bothered to keep track of his 17 month old child...

So you...what? Just let them die of old age and buried them? Euthanized them like a cat or dog? Or did you give them to someone else's soup pot when their time had come?BlueMountains wrote: I had chickens and I could never eat them, they are to me pets. I can understand not personally raising them for food. But most people who do that still give them away as Stew chickens when they've reached the end point.
It seems silly to set up a pet cemetery for a flock of chickens.

I want to know: when did you start watching the Lannings on youtube? Then, when did you stop/start to grow weary of their BS?
For me, I started watching when Missy announced she was pregnant with Finn and stopped watching when he was about 6mo. This was because Bryan had a fit on Twitter/YT about how terrible pilots/airports were (I work in aviation). After that s*it hit the fan and we all know what kind of people they are now. So its been about a year. It is shocking how much they have changed in the past few years.

River: They weren't cows inside. They were waiting to be, but they forgot. Now they see the sky and they remember what they are.
Re: DailyPregnancySpeculations part 82
I feel like they will definitely be getting a nanny at some point. Good luck trying to hide her the way they tried to hide the cleaning lady.brownprincess93 wrote:Just because your precious Ollie didn't do something, doesnt' mean that Finn won't do it. The fact that you have never your taught your children how to draw on paper or do some fun crafts with them - that is why they think this is normal to draw on the walls and furniture. Also - if you are actually WATCHING them then this whole situation can be avoided. I don't understand why they don't hire someone to watch them? It's very clear that Missy is incapable of watching her own children so atleast getting a nanny these kind of scenerios can be avoided.
Seriously, the amount of incidents that happen in their house because they don't supervise anything is just silly at this point. It's not just the marker thing, it's not uncommon for kids to do that. But every day there's something new, whether it's their rooster "attacking" one of the dogs, Ollie making a mess while in the shower alone, or Finn getting into something. It's like they don't think.
