Exactly! That's also why I don't understand why she can't move out!! She's either lying about her income, or can't raise 4 kids with out help. It's probably a mixture of both.

About Jess being on medicaid? I believe it! My friend just recently gave birth but before that she was loosing a lot of blood while in her home, her husband urged her to call the ambulance BUT she refused because of the expensive bill it would result in lol. She did reluctantly ended up allowing her husband to call but they did not like having to pay so much and mind you both her & her husband work full time!

Now my point is during the entire time Kayden had a pellet stuck in his ear Jess never once mentioned how much the bill was going to be or how much her co pay was going to bite her in the ass lol. She did not have to mention a specific amount but I find it odd a single mother of four kids without a steady income did not complain once about the medical bill and thats probably because shes either on medicaid or her mom dished out the money.

about the health insurance thing, i'm currently in hospital because i had bariatric surgery today. the whole procedure would have cost us ~$27,000 but because we have top cover we paid about 7k. i am so unbelievably grateful to live in a place that it's even possible for me to have that privilege and of course my parents--dad mostly--for working so hard that we can afford it. if we didn't have the health coverage we do, we'd be, for the lack of a better word... fucked.

making someone pay for cancer treatment is cruel.

Yes, but in general rent all over California, even the crappy areas, is more expensive than most other states. Where I live in San Diego, even in the ghetto-y areas rent for 1-bedroom apartment costs around $1000 a month. It is almost impossible to find a semi-decent apartment in a semi-decent area for less than $1200. I do live close to the beach though.

I think Jessica was paying around $900 for her first very crappy apartment (I remember Lilia's room looked like a closet), and where I live it would have cost much more. But still, if she was renting that same apartment in most other states, she would be paying a few hundred less.

It depends. I've had times where I initially pay a $50 co pay before the doctor even saw me. Then the doctor takes a look and orders different tests ( MRI, blood work, x ray, etc) and then you pay for those too.

I don't care what she says, she has to be on at least food stamps or WIC. she is a single mom of four kids with no real job. She definitely qualifies.

I've mentioned this before she CAN'T be on foodstamps or WIC. They tally up the entire income of the household to determine eligibility and the whole, I live in a duplex thing isn't going to cut it. They would add Jessica's income with her moms, her step dads and her brother, and tht would be WAY TO MUCH. There is no way around that.

About her insurance, because of the new insurance laws Jess can be on her moms insurance until 25 and I think that means that the kids are on her moms insurance too. My boyfriends sister is a teacher and apparantly she has amazing insurance so that could be why she doesn't bat an eye to take her kids to visits or for Kaden's surgery. It's probably covered with a small co-pay.

It seems everyone forgets that Jess pays NO BILLS AT HOME. Her YouTube income is hers and hers alone to spend on garage sale toys and trips to Disneyland. She can afford cheap shitty food and Frozen DVD's on her own. She literally has no responsibility to pay any bills in that home, I don't believe for a second that she does, so expenses like food and doctor visits and shit like that she can cover no problem because she doesn't have anything else to pay for.

Yeah there are ghetto parts of CA that are expensive, but they're still in the city. The city of Compton (which definitely has a terrible reputation) is actually very expensive to rent because of its close proximity to the city.

I'm not 100% but I remember her apartment with drake being $600 a month. Modesto has nothing around it and it's very cheap to rent in. I compared the rental prices of modesto to a small town in South Carolina that my husbands fam lives in, and they're exactly the same. Definitely not the typical 'california prices' that everyone seems to think she has to pay.
