Actually this trip is about brainstorming ways to help schools the company runs. Another one of the trips is for empowering women. 2 of the days are spent doing cultural things (visiting a spice market and Taj Mahal), a day touring the school, meeting parents, and teaching a lesson, and the other days are for brainstorming ways to help the school (not actually doing anything, just brainstorming sessions). Like you said though, it’s all designed to make money for the company and help rich Americans feel good about themselves all under the ruse that they are helping third world children. Weird part though is that the website specifically says no kids allowed. Can you imagine sitting in a conference room all day for 3 days straight when you’re trying to work with a baby around? Seems selfish and counter productive to the mission to bring June along to me.

Imagine being so ignorant that you think just because you're a white American you have the knowledge to tell Indian people how to run a school or solve problems in an area you've never even been to in 3 days. Or teach a lesson to children! If this trip was aimed at teachers/academics/civil engineers/super rich people with the ability to rase $$$$ in funds then yeah maybe it would make sense to go. But what the hell do Corbin and Kelsey think they bring to the table exactly? Poverty tourism is such a patronising form of racism, I'm glad this school is taking advantage of idiots to get the money they need.

Also what the shit are they buying her pants and shit for. Those sleepers are what you put a baby in during summer. Not in hot ass Cali. I am from the east coast where it's currently snowing. Come summer my daughter who is a week younger than June sleeps in onesies not full on footed jammies. And Jeans in the summer? What a horrible summer shopping trip these two are so damn dumb.

Oh I completely agree, it’s incredibly racist, ignorant, and patronizing. You said it best- Kelsey and Corbin think that being white Americans somehow gives them the knowledge and authority to tell Indian people how to improve a school that they’ve never been by “brainstorming” for a couple of hours. Never mind the fact that Kelsey and Corbin are not teachers or administrators, have never worked in a school, and have never held down a steady job, let alone solved organizational problems or dealt with poverty on that scale. Maybe Cobin will suggest that the children just buy a baguette for dinner. Does anyone else remember his story about that? *eyeroll*
So Kelsey, as a loyal customer of the 50% rack, thinks she deserves better from a bankrupt company than everything being just 20% off? I agree, they are not “raising their prices” they are rolling out sales in a specific way during this bankruptcy. And I wouldn’t exactly refer to myself as a “loyal” customer if I only shopped the 50% off rack of a store…
I have to say, in response to the fact that she wears the same dress allll the time-- that is one thing that speaks well for them. They splurge on some things but they don't dress themselves or that baby super nice & I appreciate that. Why she constantly getting her hair done, I don't know.
She shops at second hand stores remember. She's so cool and edgy. Then she was promoting that app where you buy and sell other used clothes. Yet she never seems to wear anything different. They have the oddest spending habits.

Surprise, surprise...Corbin's already hinting he won't do the half-marathon. I don't recall him talking about a knee injury before. And they just did two long hikes and he didn't mention it then. What a flake.

I wouldn't be suprised if they divorced and Corbin claimed kelsey not fit to be main parent for Juniper and tried to get main custody of her to "one up" kelsey.
