I think it's possible that the "Thanks, Mom" did come from Calvin, although equally possible that it did not. It definitely was a voice-over in the video, though, which I find really ridiculous. And I also thought it was interesting that Jared was dispatched to the hospital over Ellie...

Bonnie asked Jared to go. While I agree that Ellie can’t donmuch of anything because she’s pregnant I really do think Cody is 100 times more comfortable with Jared then with the ice queen.

That moment with calvin was so...bizarre. I hope that kid gets opportunities to be around more educated individuals. The lack of linguistic acuity on Ellie's part is so sad. *sigh*. I don't blame Bonnie+Joel for asking jared to take cody to the hospital. He seems to grasp the emotional understanding (and let's be real, the understanding in general), with which he knows to place the child's needs above his own, with reason of course. So, yay jared.

Today’s vlog at 3:35: Ellie is telling Calvin that she is so proud of him, Calvin looks down at that very moment. Then we hear him “say” THANKS, MOM. I swear, his mouth is not moving and the voice sounds more like Jackson. How pathetic that Jared felt the need to do a fake voice over?!?!?

There’s been speculation about this before. I think when Jackson was little? It seemed crazy at the time, but knowing what we now do about how shameless these two are, I wouldn’t be at all surprised.

I'm late to the cancer clickbait discussion, but I did not realize from that thumbnail and vlog title that they were simply going to the dermatologist for a skin cancer check! I'm Ellie's age and I also have very fair skin, so I've been going annually to my dermatologist for skin checks since I was around 24. And I don't even have a family history of skin cancer. I'm not sure why she acts like this was overboard or that they were too young to be doing this. It's just like an annual check-up and it is absolutely normal in my mind to start doing so in your mid to late twenties.

Oh, I was being facetious. Ellie could bloody well go. But she has this pregnant=unable to do anything BS going on.
And yes, I think it's sad that Ellie has no real relationship with her niece and nephews. Olivia obviously doesn't want to be around her, and Bonnie probably knew that Jared would be better than Ellie for Cody.

A while back I watched the Griffiths Throwback Videos again and in one video Ellie jumps on the kitchen counter and screams "I'M THE BOSS!!" extremely aggressively in Ruby's face. Ruby looked annoyed af and it was silent in the room before the scene cut off. Ellie has always been the attention seeker in the family and even as a little child in these videos she seems to be completely crazy. I don't know if this IS her actual character or if something happened in her very early life that made her become like this. Also, I'm in no way supporting her behavior but I know what it feels like to loose your mind because of mental health issues and my behavior wasn't the exact same but there definitely are similarities. There were times when I only had mean things to say, I did weird things and acted really off. Luckily I come from a household that takes mental health really seriously and so I got help quickly but since Ellie doesn't seem to realize that what she's saying and doing is unhealthy and it's NOT just because of Thyroid issues I don't see her getting better. And it's only going to get worse when the baby is here. She's the kind of friend that would quit talking with you if you would advise them to get serious professional help even if you said that out of worry for your friend. She'll think you're overreacting and a little bit of prayer and a baby will make everything better.

She is a piece of work. Loved Ruby's face; clearly she was over Ellie at that point. I hadn't seen that video before and I was surprised at how much Calvin looks like her...wide set eyes, pushed out teeth and the same forehead.

As much of a weirdo Jared is, I would still pick him to comfort my injured kid too. Somehow Ellie would make it about herself and have the ER folks scrambling to make her happy.

Wow, I totally missed this the first time!! His lips are not moving, that was not him! I did wonder about that when listening because Calvin don't usually say multiple words.

Thanks guys on the reason Jared picked Cody up. I don't watch his parents videos so I missed that part.

Ellie is quite the little spitfire throughout the whole video, actually. And that's putting it nicely. She reminds of the kids I was glad were not mine when I worked in daycare.
