I think they legislated the "free range parenting" because some people were calling the cops if they saw kids playing at the park without parents. And 9 is plenty old enough for that, I think. I'm glad they made it 9-- I could see the Greedners loving that if there wasn't an age limit.

The thing about free range parenting is that even though it says 9 and up, what about the kids who have disabilities? How did Utah put all that into play? Also, kids who are not as mature as some at that age. It's kind of stupid. I hate that our society has become a fear ridden one but we have to be now. I wouldn't want to take the chance, but that's just me. If these greedy turds want to take the chance and risk, that's on them. Why not just go skydiving with the ff... jump esme, you'll be fine!!!

I wouldn't leave my 9 year old at the park alone. But, I don't live in Utah, maybe it's safer there.

I wouldn't want one _all alone_, but for instance, I used to live in Coronado, which is an idyllic town on an island in San Diego Bay. Kids there still run around like I did when I was a kid. I agree that you have to use some judgement, but people calling cops because they see some siblings of grade school age together at the park without a grownup (more than one kid-- not one kid by his or herself) is kinda whacked too (and yes, it's happened). I really don't know if the world is more dangerous than it was when I was running around with my friends or if we're just more aware because of the internet and 24 hour news channels.
Of course parents have to use some judgement. Which is why I think it's weird to legislate it like that.

He's a bully. That's all there is to it.
And I always told my daughter bullies act the way they do because they feel so ugly inside that the only way they can feel better is to put someone else down.

Isn’t she now required to drive the truck as her daily transportation? I’m pretty sure there’s a clause in that contract with senegence. But I may have read it wrong.

Also, on her QTK 80s photo, she got critiqued for her makeup & outfit... apparently she looked 90s. Her reply seemed a bit snippy

Utah now has "free range parenting". Nice. For pedophiles and kidnappers. But, at least it won't be against the law for Porky to leave the feral cats in the car, alone, while he goes in for his donits! I guess that Utah also allows no seat belts while driving and texting while driving? Perfect for the Greeds!

I live outside the USA, so I have to ask: what is free range parenting? Thanks.

It has always been so sad to me that they haven't captured in pictures or actually in their videos, natural happiness or smiles from these girls. When it has happened it so noticeable,, because it is so rare. They are always instructed to perform.. When trying to make a photo, Knuckle waving something over her head trying to take the photo, whether it's a squeaky toy, an oversized passie, or more recently a Tonka truck waving around. So sad...
I guess the 'performers' are not meeting their expectations. Poor Esme.. I guess this is where Loni comes into play. "Could you please make our girls look happy?"

Unlike the quads, the Busby girls have a presence, a light in their eyes. They are naturally happy. Their parents are not always screeching at them to get them all hyped up. They ask a question and wait for the answer. These quad kids look like they are permanently drugged. Especially the heavies. It's as though their minds are two steps, maybe more, behind the moment. They really need professional intervention. It's going to be embarrassing for the kids and their babysitters when Hazel B and Leah R race past them in development. Then again it is the Gardners. They probably won't even notice. Too busy spending, spending, spending...
