The Lindquists: Welcome to hELLE | Part 2
Re: The Lindquists: Welcome to hELLE | Part 2
Elle is clearly delusional. If you are a minimalist that mindset tends to lend itself to having less material things... especially things one does not need or already has... She replaces perfectly good/functional items constantly: home furnishings, full kitchen, clothing, car. Epitome of wasteful! She can call herself a minimalist or a genius but that does not make it so; no matter how she tries to manipulate the definitions.
Re: The Lindquists: Welcome to hELLE | Part 2
The BEST part is that people are starting to see through her. Yes, she’ll keep some viewers who are too easily manipulated or naive, but a large number of viewers are calling her out recently and recognizing how truly wasteful and dishonest she is.

Thank god people are seeing through her shit and calling her out on it! She’s been pulling tricks for way too long.
Re: The Lindquists: Welcome to hELLE | Part 2
I can’t wait to see what she buys herself. Probably her own Tesla that Dan can look at if he’s lucky. or maybe just a new van, with newer technology

Re: The Lindquists: Welcome to hELLE | Part 2
I read through a lot of the comments and it’s quite obvious by the answers that people most definitely see through her now but are trying to phrase things in a way as not to get blocked.
Many people said neither finance or lease (which In reality is not feasible for most people) but I think it was said mostly as a dig because she’s going to trade in a perfectly good and fine van (which for three kids is suitable) for something with a fancier label.
Should we start guessing?
It’s definitely not a Tesla for Dan.
Maybe a blacked out suburban?
A Range Rover maybe?
A G-Truck? Lol.
Seriously, can we start the list?

Re: The Lindquists: Welcome to hELLE | Part 2
I’m thinking Range Rover or something flashy like a Benz or Audi or Lexus.
Nothing wrong with those cars if you set out to intentionally buy them. But she basically JUST got her van, which is fine for her needs. A minimalist she is NOT.
Whatever it is, she’s so so so concerned with the aesthetic already.

Re: The Lindquists: Welcome to hELLE | Part 2
And the fact that she’s still arguing that she’s a minimalist?
How is adding another car into the world, minimal?
How is adding another car into the world, minimal?
Re: The Lindquists: Welcome to hELLE | Part 2
Well, according to Elle, minimalism is a mindset
Also, what’s a g-truck? Lol
My guess is Mercedes, Audi, or Lexus. Are any of these even child friendly? I definitely see her going for a luxury SUV, probably not a suburban, I think that’s too truck-ish for her taste. Maybe she’s going for a sports car so she doesn’t have to carry her crotch monsters with her. Finally an excuse not to have to have them around!

I just saw a commercial for Hyundai talking about "the newest technology for your family". Hmmm....

I agree on the range rover or Audi, some kind of luxury SUV. Her therapist really messed her up condoning her minimalist "mindset" and constantly shopping for herself. Unless Elle also manipulates her therapist just like she manipulates her followers.
This David's Tea advent is screaming "sponsor me!" from Elle. Can't she just enjoy something as simple as drinking a cup of tea without sponsorship agenda and follower validation? I'm a tea hoarder so to me having a cuppa is like a sacred form of self care you enjoy privately, lol.

I love anything Sloane tea. I discovered it at the spa years ago and luckily my local coffee shop has them too. I order online for my home stash. My favourites are Heavenly cream, Marrakesh Mint and Rouge Provence. For David's tea I always get Organic Mother's little helper, Saigon Chai and Carribean Crush (my daughter's fave). My recent purchase I'm really loving is Veda Wellness tea relax blend which I got from a health food store.

Let me save you 9 min watching her cookie video.
The lighting and her makeup puts her in 100% clown mode. Cookies by Bozo!
Maybe this is only funny because I’m an avid baker (and watch tons of food network) but her vocab makes it clear she is clueless. She calls mixing the dough “kneading” it (lol I make bread so this is prob only funny to me) or referring to the dough as “pastry” — plus she goes into unnecessary dumb detail about things like soft butter and sprinkles. She’s trying to be funny and knowledgeable but it just comes across as ditzy.
Speaking of Food Network, she tries doing a 2-camera angle cinematography thing and it’s awful. She jumps back and forth too much as has totally different lighting between the two shots so it’s awkwardly obvious.
This would be a great recipe to make with kids. She shares how it’s an important part of her childhood, and says it’s great for kids ... to kick the spoon. That’s it. She is not baking with her boys or letting them help at all. So sad. I’m assuming because her perfectionist/obsessive personality couldn’t handle the kids making a mess in the kitchen or making ugly cookies, but how sad to deprive them of that memory.
Overall the video is way too long. She rambles about shit no one cares about and shows herself mixing/baking for way too many shots. No one wants to see you mix cookie dough for a solid minute.

Oh Elle. She wants to be a modern romanticized 50's housewife so bad...But she just can't. She's just as delusional as the ideal she's trying to reach. Sure supermoms exist but Elle isn't the type of person to actually be able to achieve that...It's a lot of work! Elle is lazy, and neurotic but she thinks she's successfully hacking life and "doing it all." She has some people fooled with her "fake it till you make it" approach. Too bad she's just missing key characteristics to ever make that work for her.
She's so ironic...her jokes suck, but her videos are so funny because she's so fake it comes off as a parody or trolling.
I guess this is the kind of disconnect narcissists have with the rest of the world. *shrug*
She should really work on her personality disorder and focus on figuring out who she really is and start living a regular human life before its too late and she's destroyed her marriage, messed up her kids, and wanted her life. I think she's headed for being a crazy, bitter, lonely old lady.

Also I would like to state that Elle is only showing us what she chooses to show us. So there is probably a lot more spending going on behind the scenes. I also standby that the marriage is on shaky ground. Elle thinks she deserves better and I think she’s just waiting until she finds her next victim before she leaves Dan. Or maybe she’ll just cheat on him. She’d for sure have an affair. No doubt.

I got chills(not the good kind) when I saw her teeth-baring smile while taking the cookies out of the oven.
So Stepford Wives it ain't funny.

Re: The Lindquists: Welcome to hELLE | Part 2
TeachIT's recap is spot on. I couldn't finish the whole video because it was boring and she seemed extra fake in this one. I just read through some comments and the description. She actually hired someone to shoot this for her! Huge production for a simple 10 min cookie recipe. I see that people in the comments are giving Elle some pro tips, lol. Elle does not know her way in the kitchen and it's obvious.
I'm not a baker but I would do simple recipes like this with my kids. Like I actually get them to do most of the baking and I assist. Not just call them when it's time to eat extra cookie dough off, lol.

Re: The Lindquists: Welcome to hELLE | Part 2
Her comment about calling the kids in just to pick the dough off the beaters reminded me of an article I read years ago about a rural community in central America where the children all happily clean, cook, and do anything asked of them. It explained how children *want* to be helpful and want to be a part of everything and that really changed my perspective of my toddler.
I think Elle needs to read the article I saw and take it to heart. She gives her kids such infantile "responsibilities" but #humblebrags about how advanced they are. Nah, darlin, they are capable of so much more.

Margie wrote:She needs a proper therapist, but she would NEVER pay good money for someone to be honest with her about her insecurities and her unhealthy coping habits. She would label it abusive and move on to the next “therapist”. It is pretty sad though. And her trolling everyone for thoughts on leather and sunroofs... she can’t even buy a car without the input of other people! She needs to have the most popular option because every move she makes is about impressing as many people as possible, not actually doing what she wants with her life. It’s really sad.
It gets her the attention she wants - people are going to ask her if she’s getting a new car, and if so, what kind? A Tesla? Oh my god you should TOTALLY get a Tesla!!!! She also knows that the internet polls will always side with the more luxe options. Elle ALWAYS wants the luxe options. She uses that “data” to justify her extravagances.
Also. I just watched the cookie video. Did she seriously hire someone to shoot a video of her making a fucking shortbread cookie with sprinkles? Don’t get me wrong, I love me a shortbread cookie, but if you’re gonna hire someone and go the whole nine yards - maybe choose a more exciting cookie? It’s not even her family recipe. The whole thing is weird.
