Re: ThisGatheredNest | Part 2
I don't like first momma it's like first boyfriend or first wife in the past and not really that relevant anymore. She's his birth mother Angie is his mom they are both an important part of who Benji is and who he'll become. Her use of it seems so passive aggressive.
I cannot see Angie being happy with any of them meeting their birth moms as adults, my guess is Rosie and Noah won't get to but Benji and Jonah will be in the same country as theirs so i imagine they'd be tempted. She has controlling vibes like to Noah's goosebumps books, i bet the free library is one of the first things he got to choose for himself, she chooses toys, clothes activities she likes. Doesn't take any of her kids to to sports becsuse she herself doesn't like sports. I hope none of them marry somebody she dislikes or choose a college she doesnt approve of.

Re: ThisGatheredNest | Part 2
Once she got pregnant with the twins there was a rumour on here that the trip to the Czech Republic was not what it all seemed at the time, a romantic holiday for the two of them. I believe that's where they did the embryo adoption.Tweedles3 wrote:Yes, this exactly! I think she could share some of the process without going into real details. I would never ask if the twins had older siblings, does the bio family live in the US, would you consider having the twins meet their bio parents and siblings, etc. Understandably, that is all personal to their family and Angie and CR will have to field those questions eventually with the twins themselves. I’m more curious about how they started their search, did they see detailed portfolios of possible families with embryos to adopt, are the bio parents aware the twins exist. Nothing really pertaining to the girls, but the process. And as someone who has embryos to donate, I have a hard time finding any info on how to start, how to find a family, am I able to set parameters for open/closed, etc.devilishtenshi wrote:I 100% respect that Angie doesn’t want to give out too many details of her children’s past... but she goes overboard. That information imo is nothing to do with her twins! That’s just the process! “We went to blah blah blah and this is how we chose the eggs. From our understanding all eggs there were given because of X,Y,Z” fill in any general missing information and things to consider. That has nothing to do with the twins’s stories???Tweedles3 wrote:I once asked in a Youtube comment if they would share some of the process of adopting embryos. As a parent with a handful of frozen embryos left, I really want to adopt them out, once this pandemic passes. She answered a few videos later that she wouldn’t go into detail, per her silence on the birth families. It’s kind a shame, I think she could really be a beacon of information for embryo adoption, from both the bio parent and adoptive parent angles.

Again, I respect that she isn’t saying things like “This is Jonah’s mother’s story and why he was in an orphanage. This is what he had to deal with there and this is why he was there and blah blah blah” because maybe when he is older he wouldn’t want that whole story out there with more than general details we all know. But she censors things that could be useful to know for some people

I used the word “bio” a lot, and it feels like this is one those descriptors Angie detests, like “real” in reference to her family. And as someone who always reminds her audience that adoption is born of loss, I kind of wish she would acknowledge the families that helped her family become what it is. Not by name or anything, but maybe just show gratitude for the courage and love it takes to part with your babies, or your embryos. She kind of has in the past but her video on the Youtube stuff came across like a STFU, we aren’t going to talk about it.

Re: ThisGatheredNest | Part 2
It is so crazy to me how embryo adoption works!!!! I read an article once tha a young couple adopted an embryo that was fertilized before the new mom was even born, so she was pregnant with a baby technically older than she was. Its just insane to me, very cool and I am glad it happens but I wonder if there will ever be some sort of research or signs of an embryo being frozen that long having side effects? It is just all crazy interesting to me....devilishtenshi wrote: ↑Mon Apr 13, 2020 10:36 amI’m not an expert but this is my understanding of the process (if anyone knows for sure I’m wrong tell me! I’m curious). I always assumed if you donated your eggs they are no longer your property and you wouldn’t know if they we’re used or not. They belong to the agency or hospital or whoever stores them. On another note... She said they the twins were in storage for 10 years right? Or did I make that up ? LolWheresMyCoffee wrote:Considering they honored Benjanmins birth mothers request to use Arkeem as a middle name, much to Angies annoyance, I would say the adoption is open of some kind.
I would imagine the twins bio parents do know they exist in some capacity, atleast that the eggs were used.

Did Angie ever go into details about her fertility issues? Like what was wrong/not working?

Re: ThisGatheredNest | Part 2
I can’t remember if CR also had issues but Angie mentioned that her egg quality had rapidly declined after her second kid. She got pregnant with the first two so easily that it was pretty surprising. She didn’t have issues with miscarriages or staying pregnant, but being able to become pregnant. I think they tried IVF but that the eggs declined so fast and badly they hurried and implanted them before you technically would and they didn’t stick. She has a video labeled secondary infertility on her channel where she explains this better than I just did.

Re: ThisGatheredNest | Part 2
It's weird they use the term secondary infertility when they had FIVE kids at home two of which she gave birth to. Like to me secondary infertility is being unable to give your first child a sibling. It must have been hard but i think if her sister wasn't Ashley idk if she'd be as upset, Also think they ttc through adopting Rosie from want they've said which i find really really wrong.

Am I the only one who never feels like the meals she posts look like enough for 10 people? I know that's clickbait and the baby and twins probably don't eat much of it but I'd think even for 7 it would be a lot of food to feed everyone

Re: ThisGatheredNest | Part 2
All the time! I think she is keeping the portions very small so no kid gains weight and might be a little too chubby in her eyes. I think she’s obsessed with everyone being skinny in her familydamondaniel wrote: ↑Thu Apr 16, 2020 10:36 am Am I the only one who never feels like the meals she posts look like enough for 10 people? luci417 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 09, 2020 2:44 pmI had to comment on this even though it’s kinda old because I watched about 20 minutes of the podcast Angie is doing with CR, the infertility one. In it she says that when they got married she didn’t think they wanted to have kids for a few years, though apparently they weren’t preventing it which just doesn’t make sense. Ashleigh had her first baby and then BAM Angie wanted a baby too. I don’t know how you go from not wanting kids to suddenly changing your mind like that. I think Ashleigh at several different points has said that she only wanted a few.lefargen97 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 17, 2020 7:09 am I've been watching old vlogs and i can't help but feel like angie is weirdly competitive with her sister when it comes to having kids??? like one has a child, and the other feels the need to have one too, like they are one-upping each other. angie adopted benjamin and now her sister is about to become a foster mom. their huge families are definitely influenced by each other.
I’m interested to see if Ashleigh actually gets approved to foster or if she’ll have another baby.

Re: ThisGatheredNest | Part 2
I noticed in the funeral video they said Ashleigh's teen son was slighty older than Kennedy and i did wonder. I noticed after Hazel was born Angie seemed baby obsessed despite Rosie being new to the family and Jonah still being a toddler. Benji's very sudden adoption was so close to her sister having Ruby and they were done and had toddler twins so i think she hates her sister having attention. If Ashley stops to foster i think Angie will stop at Benji but i suspect they will both keep going.

Re: ThisGatheredNest | Part 2
They both obviously have deep psychological issues. No one goes on a baby race without personal issues... I think none of them will step unless the other one stops too. They will both stop and both still pop out or collect babies.

Her sister refuses to use birth control and “leaves it in God’s hands”. She’ll have more kids.

Re: ThisGatheredNest | Part 2
Very disappointed in yesterday’s vlog title. "Remembering her life in China" I thought, at last we have a vlog about Rosie. No, all we got is Angie saying she'd looked at the email she got 5 years ago with Rosie details in them, Rosie recognised herself and the lady who looked after her.
It was less than a minute.

I'd never really picked up on what y'all say on here about her correcting and speaking over CR all the time until one of their podcast episodes popped up in my recommended on Youtube and I decided to give a listen and... Man, I'd lose my mind if every sentence that came out of my mouth got questioned and nitpicked like that lol

That little girls life is just a money maker for Angie. She deserves so much better.FlowersTar 68 wrote:Very disappointed in yesterday’s vlog title. Re: ThisGatheredNest | Part 2
I only watched the infertility one and he just sat there and acted like she walked on water while she constantly did that. I don’t usually watch the vlogs so I’m not used to seeing their interaction but I thought it was super weird. Unrelated to the podcast but she spends $36 on one pair of shoes for the twins....I’m sure they’re good quality but hard pass.damondaniel wrote: ↑Sun Apr 19, 2020 10:37 am I'd never really picked up on what y'all say on here about her correcting and speaking over CR all the time until one of their podcast episodes popped up in my recommended on Youtube and I decided to give a listen and... I listened to the fertility podcast last night and thought the same, that CR couldn’t really speak his mind. When he hinted at wanting to call it quits after their IVF cycle, she got really weird and wanted to know why he would think that way. Having all these kids sounds like it’s totally her idea an her husband just goes along with it to keep the peace.
Also, how in the heck are they getting away for at least 60 minutes at a time to record these in her office shed? When in the day does this happen? I have one 2.5 year old and two 7-month olds and my husband and I had dinner last night together, for the first time in months. And soon after I was back upstairs to settle one of my twins. I can’t believe they can shut themselves away, outside the house for that long, with only the older girls to keep the peace inside. They’ve already suggested the twins don’t go to bed until they crash late at night, and the middle three are up at an ungodly 5-6 AM (I think their bedtime is rather early, but it doesn’t really need to be).

Sheesh she looks like a completely different person, not quite 2yrs ago.
State that 2 are biological and they adopted the other 7 - technically yes.... but she gave birth to the twins.
