Ok serious question. What does someone have to do to "acknowledge their privilege"? Say she already tips her hair stylist well, her assistant, etc (we dont know that, but let's assume). Lets assume she had some saved or invested for the kids future and her retirement. She gave away thousands this year to charity. Like what else do you want her to do?? Lol. I'm talking about with her money, I'm sure we could all donate more of our time!

I believe that everyone should donate a certain percentage of their income, regardless of their financial status. Are people really implying that she should cut corners and buy cheap stuff and dont spend so that......what? What would the end goal be of her NOT getting her hair and nails done if she likes to do that and isnt hurting for the money? Like.. what else do people want her to be doing with her own money? Why do we have to "know what its like" to be in a million different peoples shoes and life paths? We can respect and appreciate them without having to go through their life just for the sake of knowing or relating. That's the beauty of life, we all come at it with our own perspectives and live differently.

I think she's been reading here and this is her jab at people calling her out for the $50 chocolates. She'll throw something at those beneath her pay grade with some blue-collar gift ideas. She's calculated and backhanded like that and it isn't the first time she's shown herself this way.

I'm gonna defend her tho. Yeah, I know, lol. When somebody says "what's a gift for a blue collar person" I have no idea what that person means either lol. Socks? Gas money? A movie? Like that's such a weird category request.

Second, why does she have to "know what its like" to struggle financially? Her whole channel is based on upper middle class things. She doesn't bargain shop, clip coupons, etc. She is staying in her lane and showing gift examples like $50 chocolates for that reason.

I've been reflecting a lot lately on wealth and poverty and whatnot, and one thing that's been on my mind is....why is it ok to shame "rich" people for having money and how they spend it, but inappropriate to talk shit on people for being poor and THEIR financial decisions? Theres no badge of honor for living in struggle. Struggling financially doesn't make someone more relatable, likeable, or superior than someone who isnt. Like it or not, kudos to Bri for creating a comfortable life....before the life insurance kicked in. She deserves to spend it if she wants to!! She has made smart money choices. For example, yeah she buys a lot of clothes, but she also sells them and gets her money back. She goes on vacations, but the content gets her paid!! Admire her for that.

See my issue is that she does try to be relatable to anyone and everyone. That’s kind of the schtick for these women on YouTube. Oh look at us we are all the same!! I don’t care what she makes, it’s just so painfully obvious that she doesn’t understand her own privilege. It seems that she ignores the fact that not everyone who follows her is able to live her lifestyle. When people are asking for a lower budget gift option she literally told them to put pipe cleaners on beer. I mean shoot, even Myka donated to some families this year. For me, that’s relatable. I want to see people doing good, not spending like crazy. But that’s my opinion and that’s why I don’t much care for Bri and would rather talk here about her hahaha. I don’t follow her for gift recommendations that’s for sure lol.

But when you do make a donation you don’t shout out to the world about it the Bible says to give secretly

I think the structured play at a party with kids of varying ages is actually a good idea. My mom always did crafts and certain activities at certain times during my birthday parties and we always had such a good time and my friends loved it!

I think the original point was just that she is meant to be an influencer, and the majority of people would not be buying $50 boxes of chocolates as a gift. It's not relatable. It's not #giftgoals. So so agree. Tiffani tries to do this too with Ella. They look ridiculous. Babies and toddlers shouldn’t embrace the oversized sweater look. It just makes them look like their mom was careless and bought the wrong size.

Does anyone watch these dumb Christmas videos? What the heck do they do with all this food?! There’s always cakes, pies, cookies, appetizers. Where the heck is it all going? If I was her friends or family I’d be sick of going over there for staged parties. It’s like the food network shows where they act like they’re at home having a big gathering and it’s just a set lol.

I'm so tired of being told and hinted at that we should be "getting through" the holidays and managing our "holiday stress". Like, if you're putting this on yourself you need to evaluate your life. All of the "oh no, traveling with toddlers, terrible twos" to the "smoothing out your daily routine, stress free mornings".

It's the funniest thing....its almost like...if you DONT implant these fears and thoughts about ALL THE STRESS, it's almost like.....not stressful? It's almost like you might accidentally live in the moment and enjoy the life you've created. You can put down the wine and the copious amounts of "self care" and just have a positive attitude and take the good with the bad.

For real my only holiday stress is because I didn’t really think about wrapping presents until today. I have 2 kids. I’m hosting Christmas dinner. 0 stress other than folding and taping some wrapping paper a bunch tomorrow lol.

Thank you!!! I was thinking this too. Girl needs to CHILL. No one needs the perfect gift and perfectly curated menus and perfectly designed outfits. I’ve said it before, she thinks her life is a magazine. Bri, no one is as stressed as you right now because you think everything has to be a hallmark Christmas movie. My baby is overdue right now and I’m not as stressed as you are!!!!
