Maybe I'm wrong but it feels like, they liked Jackson but didn't want something so popular so they made up a name close to it. Made up "unique" names are just not my style. I'd rather my give my child have an established name that is popular than some random made up name with no significance to it.

That "J" ornament they used seriously looked like an F. I watched the video on mute while doing other things and I legit thought their named their baby Faxton and about lost my nut. Jaxton isn't all that much better. It's one of those incredibly trendy/made up names that will not age well at all.

Also Cassie said it’s “Jax-TON” not “Jax-son” and I’m sorry but no one is going to pay that close attention to his name... He’ll likely be called Jaxson anyway.

The way she said they wanted to make sure the name they chose had no familial connection? I have a feeling she just said that so Carlos wouldn't potentially suggest something Hispanic. It's still a J name, which I really don't think is coincidence that her dad and brother both start with J...

Carlos didn’t seem that thrilled when Cassie said the baby would be called Jax. Personally, I wouldn’t name my kid something that me or my partner didn’t like the shorten version of. Especially if the name is something that’s weird to say like Jaxton.

Ya know I try not to say anything when someone names their baby, as usually its a personal and exciting experience for them. BUT MY GUYS, JAXTON?!!!! That is ROUGHHHH.

I think they do keep them separate. They aren’t allowed outside at the same time. They’ve had Cece for well over a year now. The dogs should be able to get along. He doesn’t seem to have a problem with Missy’s dogs.

Separate baby showers for each side of the family is weird to me. Personally, I wouldn’t have had one at all because of covid, but they don’t seem to care about covid restrictions. They had a big joint party for the gender reveal. I hope things aren’t weird between the two families. I always thought it was a shame that Ollie and Finn didn’t see much of Bryan’s family when they were super small. I get that Bryan’s relationship with his mother hasn’t always been the best, but it seems like his sister and aunt are alienated too. I feel like that might be a common theme in the hollister family. They are former cult members. I hope Carlos has better luck with maintaining relationships outside of Cassie’s family than Bryan has. I wonder if Cassie has agreed to offering the baby a bottle so that Carlos can take him with him when he visits his family. Cassie doesn’t seem to go with him when he visits.

Bryan is actually really close to his mom and sister. Their visits just don’t seem to be vlogged. Missy has always seemed like she was the one who had issues with his family and likes to keep them at arms length. I could see Cassie being the same way given how they were raised in a cult like setting. Outsiders are a threat to the status quo.
