Is that a joke?! The crib scene was awful! I couldn't believe she was so calm about it. And did you see the way he jumped down? I honestly thought he was going to break the crib...or worse still, a bone in his body! I saw the vlog before coming on here today and the only reason I came on here was due to the crib scene!

Yeah, I didn't think it was the end of the world either. It wasn't like he was super high, if he fell backwards he would have just fallen onto the beanbag. Little boys climb on things sometimes, and I don't think he was in any danger.
However, I think Missy should have handled it better-she shouldn't have laughed about it, that'll just encourage him to do it again. In my opinion she should have calmly gone and picked him up and put him down and told him not to do that.

I didn't actually watch it, and was basing my comment on what I read. If he did get down, then that's great.

That said, he should know better than to crawl all over his brother's crib like that by now. His feet are always filthy, and I wouldn't even want his bare feet where my baby lays his face at night. My discipline and not letting him get away with things comment still applies.

Before I found the light about the bumps, and before Finn was born I thought Ollie was not going to get enough attention. Boy was I wrong.

Nitpicking alert: can Missy get through a sentence without saying like, actually, literally, or super?
Bryan, you're not Shay, no matter how much you chant about your kid being on the table. Shay is sliding down in popularity anyway. Take notice. It can happen to the Vlogfather,it can happen to you. And you can't embarrass a one year old. They don't experience shame.

My second son had/ has no fear. He was always doing crazy stuff. If I did not remain calm when I reprimanded him, I would probably have startled him causing injuries. I got him into sports at an early age to channel his fearlessness into something positive. He ended up as a D1 athlete. Hopefully Ollie will get to continue with swimming and join a team.

No, it's fine! They paid professionals to baby proof their house! There's no way he could get hurt. If he does, they can just sue, because it was supposed to be baby proof.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who didn't see a big issue with it. My toddler jumps and climbs everywhere. He was jumping into a crib. It's not like he's a full grown adult doing it. That crib looks more then sturdy enough. It wasn't that big of a deal at all. lol

That's ridiculous. They would never name that vlog that.
It would be "There's Been An Accident" in all lowercase to show how serious the situation is...and to cause people to view it bc they know lowercase means Drama

The other things that bothered me about Ollie standing on the edge of Finn's crib were:

#1 It's _Finn's_ crib! Finn can never have anything for himself without Ollie marking his territory. I'm not blaming Ollie - it is Bryan and Missy making him this way - but Finn can't even have his own crib as just his! Nope. It's Ollie's plaything.

#2 What if Finn was in there? Yes, Ollie and Finn have their own rooms, but we all know that they are often unsupervised, and that Ollie knows how to open doors. I don't think Ollie would intentionally hurt Finn, but I do know that accidents happen, which is why we set limits for children! Ollie has no limits. It's completely possible that he could go in Finn's room when the Lumps aren't watching (because they are never watching) and decide to dive into Finn's crib. Ollie and Finn could both get hurt that way, which is why Missy and Bryan need to teach Ollie that climbing in or on the crib is a big no no.

I like how Bryan says "OK you can have one bite, but the rest is for after" he already had the bite, quit acting like you were OK with it.
Also I hardly ever watch (they've gotten to much for me to deal) but ONCE in a long while I'll watch and it seems like one of their kids is always up on a counter, table etc. Why?? Drives me nuts lol. My boys are/were never allowed to sit on counter or tabletops (their 9 and 3).

Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
Ollie is always on the counter! So gross, especially because clearly Missy and Bryan do not clean and then they allow Ollie to walk barefoot in chicken poop so their house is probably covered in chicken feces. Good thing they never eat at home.

All vloggers seem to have this thing for letting their kids on the counters and tables. Bonnie, Shay, DB, E&J, SlyFox-- they all let their kids sit, walk, and even dance on counters and tables. I think Cullen and Katie don't, and Smelly Belly makes a point of saying they don't want their youngest on the counter, but everyone else seems to think it's just fine and great footage. When my kids were little and we did stuff in the kitchen, we had a step stool for them. And I certainly didn't let them run around on a table like Finn was doing!

I had the same thought. Let's see if they still keep the kids off when they have an island. It would be hard for them to get up there with the current kitchen.

I assume Katie was raised with manners though, so I think she might actually keep them off the counters.
