The apartment is so small!!!!! Especially considering they're going to have a VERY energetic dog in there, too.

I know that she really wanted her own place but omg she's not going to realise how much she's giving up until she's living there. The novelty will wear off soon enough and then it'll just seem like a waste of money.

There has to be either a) a fair amount of money between them or b) they're getting entitlements because of the military connections because seriously, they're picking up full bills that neither of them have had to do before (Haylee only paid $100-$200 p/m in rent at home and that's it). She and Randy now have to pay the whole bill for tv, Internet, food, electricity, water, a car payment (maybe a second if Randy has finance on his), petrol on 2 cars, two phone bills, Hazzel's expenses, as well as real rent. I would understand if Haylee worked full time but now she's cutting back to part time and picking up school again.

These two should be focussed on saving. Moving out to seem like an adult is the least adult situation. What irritates me is that because Randy will gain entitlements eventually (if not already), they won't ever know how the real world works. Haylee has always wanted this lifestyle, and I think that's a huge factor in why Randy is still around.

Anyone else find it odd that Haylee is the one buying most of everything for the home? And she gets so excited when Randy buys her a knife set? Shouldn't it be 50/50? Why is a need like knives such a gift? Uum thanks Randy for the curtains??

Her apartment is good enough as a first home, it will be good for her regardless if she's really ready or not to move out. It gives her the idea and it's more freedom. You don't need a lot of space for three people, especially when one is a toddler. They can always find a new bigger place when the lease is up if they want to upgrade.

She can probably get government health care for hazzel now since she's no longer living with her parents. That would cut the cost of medical bills.

Can someone explain to me Randy's entitlements? He is in the reserves, right? Does that entitle him to subsidized housing? healthcare? I don't know much about the military so I am just curious.

He went active duty a few months back. I really dont think he gets any extra living off base because he is single and can live in the barracks. If he was married he would get a housing allotment and depending where you live is how much you get and what your rank is. He gets medical , dental and 30 days a year vacation.

Oh if he marries Haylee then he will get the housing allotment but because he is single and can live in the barracks for free he doesnt receive it. Now if Hazzel was his child then he would get partial housing allotment for her for child support. But she is not his so he doesnt receive it . My husband and I are retired military and he did 25 yrs..

She started following ring porn account on Twitter that posts engagement rings all day so yeah I give it like 6 months. Such a shame because even if they do stay together it's totally forced because she doesn't want to look like a failure. It's sick that she's trying to force a happy family. But in the nicest way possible: Grow up Haylee. Your life isn't defined by whether or not you have a man around.

This. She can't wait until Hazzel can start calling him Dad (she said it wouldn't happen until they were married). And Randy will propose... but the whole situation won't be for the right reasons. Ugh.

I don't think Red will be around for much longer. I don't think they really thought about such an energetic dog in a place with no backyard. Taking a dog for 3 walks a day is unmanageable!!! Red will end up at her parents and she'll explain it away with: "we're just keeping him there because he needed to socialise with other dogs but were totally going to take him back when we move into our next place. Don't worry guys he's still our dog, we love him, he's a part of our family, we didn't abandon him, we're just doing what's best for him right now". Except they won't take him back because they realise how much hard work he is.

Again, she's trying to create this "white picket fence" lifestyle with her perfect family, with a dog, and in their own home. They're grown ups, guiiiize!

Walking a dog is not that difficult. You do it once before work, once after work, and once right before bed, or whatever fits your schedule. Walks only have to be 10-20 minutes long.
