Cullen’s comment about Brooks having to wear Gaines’ old coat and gloves irked me. How about instead of “Poor Brooks,” it could be “thankfully he fits in Gaines’ old coat.” Who cares if it’s pink? No need to run out and buy a “boy” coat when they use it once or twice a year.

And I just noticed it was Katie’s comment. So used to Cullen making gender stereotype coments.

Working in child services I have seen children who have nothing but a thin jacket in freezing weather. I've seen newborns wrapped in packing paper to try to keep warm. There is nothing poor about that child who has a warm coat on his back. Maybe I'm just sensitive to it because I see children suffer in freezing temps wearing next to nothing, but comments like that piss me off.

They seem to be taking their sweet time getting to channels that have networks representing them. Ellie and Jared are the worst of the bunch, and they have so far escaped unscathed. So has SlyFox.

The day this week that I went back to find the Kmart sponsored vlog they did a few years ago, I came across several private vlogs. I think Cullen is going through and taking down videos that might be something YouTube would demonetize them over.

I’m in Austin and believe it or not the snow made it all the down to South Texas near the coast. It was mainly in central and south Texas so I’m not sure if Dallas got any snow!

I know Houston got snow, and my son is in San Antonio at Ft Sam Houston, and it snowed there. Google says Dallas got flurries.

I think the poster who said "sweat" soap meant "sweet". She also called her a "sweat heart". Not trying to be mean. Just clarifying.

Some people actually think that and comment it on their videos daily. I would get annoyed too. My mom tells me that all the time if she doesn't think my kids are bundled up enough.

It was cute seeing the kids in the snow. In Georgia I got 11 inches and our power has been on and off since yesterday.

you get sick in the winter because the cold weakens your immune system, so yes Katie you are more likely to get sick by going outside with no socks because you will be colder

Hi everyone,

So I have just seen Bonnie Hoelleins channel has been demonetized because of inappropriate content. I rarely watch any of the Griffiths vlogs but I do occasionally check out their pages to see if any videos sound interesting and I always notice titles and thumbnails where kids are half naked or being exploited in some way that makes me uncomfortable so I think they've had it coming.

My first question to you all is do you think the youtube/ family vlogger gravy train is about to come to a grinding halt in the next few months?

I had always presumed it would just decline slowly over the next few years but all of this is making me think otherwise. If you look at socialblade for J house (i dont watch them just heard this on Bonnie's thread) and some other channels they have deleted millions of views because they are obviously worried about some of their content being flagged. To me this shows many family vloggers in a very bad light because it confirms they know exactly what content is wrong to be uploading yet they did this to their kids anyway. I think this could put a quick end to family vlogging as we know it because I (and I'm sure I'm not the only one) am questioning what kind of person would knowingly put out sexualised videos of their child in order to attract more views and views from paedophiles.

My second question is where do you see C&K in all of this? I find them not to be the worst in regards the sexual exploitation but it has still happened, but the JK Today are awful for doing it and I think they are gonna be demonetized for sure.

We don't _know_ that it's over inappropriate content. It's an assumption everyone is making, and the discussions are based on the assumption. YouTube supposedly hasn't even told Bonnie exactly why. It's a good starting point at least. The Funnel Vision guy said that he isn't supposed to post bathtub vlogs anymore. And he's actually pissed about it. What a jerk. It doesn't fall under "freedom of speech". YouTube is a company, and they have the right to demonetize a channel for whatever reason they see fit. It's a hazard of making something like that your sole source of income.

It _appears_ that channels not associated with networks are getting hit faster than ones with a network. Which isn't fair, because if it _is_ about inappropriate content and exploiting kids, Ellie and Jared, and SlyFox are some of the worst. And they're apparently going through and privatizing vlogs that could get them in trouble. Which means that they knew exactly what they were doing, and that what they were posting was attractive to perverts. But they didn't care, or just put their heads in the sand, as long as the checks kept coming. Some were even told in nice, non finger pointing ways that this was going on. Their reaction? Delete the comment and block the poster. Seems that the only way to get the attention of the parents, is to take away the money. And that is so, so wrong.
I don't think it's right that Bonnie is the only one getting nailed, if that is the reason she has been demonetized. I would not say she's innocent, but there are definitely channels worse than hers. Her own sister's for example.

I *do not* have children but is it crazy that they are still up at 11pm just starting Christmas cookie baking tonight with Gaines, Madelyne and Emily??

I noticed last night it was 9pm and they were feeding brooks dinner

Not quiet 100% true. The cold weather usually will help kill off germs. Our specialty doctor for my daughter tells us 1x a month *unless we get sick more* to open windows to help open the house. And I live in Minnesota so it gets cold.

Maybe they keep them up later so they sleep in later? Bryan and Missy seem to as well. My kids went to bed early, and they woke up early too.
I don't think it's right, I'm just wondering if that's their reasoning. They always seem to keep the kids up late.

I actually love when she mentions it. My biggest pet peeve is the myth that weather causes illness.

It’s the weekend, the cousins are over, I don’t think it’s a big deal. I was out with my kids last night until 1am at my sisters house. We made cookies, watched movies and did crafts. It was the weekend and no one had to get up!

The weekend is just like the rest of the week to them. And the cousins live four houses away. It's not a big deal for them to be over.
It's not just a one time thing. They do tend to keep the kids up late. So do Bryan and Missy, with Ollie anyway. Finn they put to bed the minute they can, it seems.

Nope. That’s total nonsense.

People get sick more often in cold weather because they’re all cooped up together.

Temperature has absolutely NOTHING to do with your immune system. Zip, zero, nada, nothing.
