I was't demonizing or blaming Bryan at all either, all i said was with an over the top personality like his, it's got to be hard for someone who has low self esteem to be with him.

I definitely don't feel sorry for Missy or think she's a "victim".
I think the low self esteem making her act the way she does is an interesting theory, that not believing she's good enough could make her lean on her family too much. But I also think that she's a grown-up now, and if these are issues she's dealing with, she should have a little self knowledge and get some help dealing with it. She definitely has time and resources.
The test of Ollie's she sabotaged was when he was having absence seizures. They did an EEG, and wanted Ollie not to nap beforehand because he would be more likely to ha e a seizure if he was tired. But Missy didn't want to deal with grumpy Ollie, so she let him take a nap. So the test was inconclusive.

According to their friend's vlog, it looks like Kelsey made the pumpkin patch sign and misspelled pumpkin. That's awkward. I guess no one told her since she took a picture next to it? lol

Missy is purging the playroom bc "they get a lot of presents" okayyyyy why are you purging for Finn's birthday? That kid has like 2 toys, everything else is Ollie's. So not only are "they" getting new toys (Finn cant even have his own toys for his birthday obviously) but they are already getting readt for Ollie to take everything he gets and make it MINE!!!!!!!
the party set up was super cute i thought..I think the theme was perfect for a fall baby who's not really into anything. I have to give it to Missy, while im sure that she had ton's more help than any of us would have had, she put a lot of work into these parties this weekend. They both turned out cute!

So they did the party a weekend early because Bryan will be at some festival next weekend.
Ollie blew out Finn's candle and was opening presents, shockerrrrr. Not that I expected Finn to of course, but still.

Kelsey said in the vlog she did it on purpose.

But she was being funny and covering for the mistake. She didn't actually mean to misspell pumpkin. She just didn't know how to spell it. I would have just flipped the board around and redone it so that it's spelled correctly.

^ Ok i just watched C&K's vlog and i see now that it wasn't on purpose.. Sorry.. I just assumed that she did it that way to be funny. Just like outside our office I did a big fall display and i have an handpainted sign that reads "Howses 4 Sale" with backwards S's and stuff.. lol

I'm the worst speller, I have to use spell check all the time. But Cassie told her it was misspelled pretty early on in the process so it would have been easy enough to redo. I don't really understand why she left it like that. Especially considering it was for someone else and a lot of people were going to see it. Maybe she thought it looked cute?

I actually really liked the party theme. Of course they had to have a petting zoo and a bounce house and be over the top, but the theme itself was fun and age appropriate and not as over decorated. Though it was funny to see all those people in southern CA in flannel. You know it was probably in the 80s.

I was suprised to see that the birthdays were equally extravagant! The only difference is Finn's was mostly family and Ollie's party had a lot of youtubers that he didnt even know. But i was glad to see them go all out for Finn too.

Also i could tell in k&c vlog that missy was trying to sing happy birthday to ollie instead of finn and she even pointed at ollie almost like she wanted them to sing ollies name too.

I should have prefaced my comments with Jeff and Natalia were *possibly* having problems. Something was up. Taking time away from vlogging to work on the family or however they said it usually means something is not right. During that time we saw Jeff constantly over at the DBs later than when they were working. It seemed like he was sleeping over sometimes. He and Natalia were not in DB's vlogs together. We speculate a lot here. Vloggers like DB and E&J don't exactly come out and say they are having issues. I'm married too (10 years) and it's not hard to tell when something is off.

As far as the clutter, I agree. Given how much money they have and spend I would specifically have no presents allowed on invites. That was very common for us growing up and parties we went to. My parents had us pick a charity every year & tell people "in lue of gifts, please donate to x". Anyways, that's my 10 cents on that

I don't really hate Missy on a personal level, the way I do certain Griffiths vloggers. I think she is an insecure young woman with an unsettled, mutable personality type who never found herself and married a famewhoring dingbat. In a way, finding success on YT wasn't the greatest thing for her, because it ties her to this role she's playing on camera, and to Bryan, and to unbridled consumerism as a way of life. She won't really come into her own as a person until Ollie is at least 15. My biggest problem with these two is their unsuccessful attempt to make up for their own childhoods by giving Ollie everything he wants and spoiling him rotten while paying no attention to his intellectual development.

I have no problem with the party itself, or that it was Pinterest-inspired. I couldn't do any better myself... The last party I threw was long ago and of a decidedly adult nature, and as a kid I was lucky to get a shared party with my brother at McDonald's. So that's fine. It did bother me that Missy held Ollie while they all sang to Finn, and Ollie blew out his candle, and opened his presents. It. Is. Not. Ollie's. Day. Like every other day of the year is Ollie's; why can't Finn be the center of attention at his birthday party? I realize the way they have raised him would result in Ollie being upset, confused, probably tantrumming if he had to sit quietly while people celebrated his brother's birthday - and that's the problem.

I would probably hate on them a lot more if I watched every day.

That is actually the most over-the-top spoiling of a kid ever. Wow. We've all seen the families that give siblings a small gift when the birthday boy/girl is opening gifts, and I already hate that enough all by itself without letting the non-birthday-kid open gifts and blow out the candle, and singing to him. That is outrageous.

I can see Finn looking back on this in 15 or 20 years when he's estranged from the family and saying "yeah, that was the story of my life in a nutshell."
