Agreed.. maybe there was a reason? But couldnt she just have said "use the plastic bowls in x cabinet.." Or maybe she was just trying to make thing's as easy as possible, but it was a little strange. I hope she had more breastmilk for Brooks saved up since they were so delayed yesterday!
I didn't even think of that! I'm so jealous she can pump! Image lol

Juat to pipe in about the note thing. I nannied and babysat for over 10 years. With young kids like Brooks and Gaines, I loved when parents were organized and left notes on what the schedule is and what foods they liked etc.

There is nothing more panicky than watching kids that are hungry and you dont know what they like to eat or where the bottles are. Or when their naptime is. Every family has their own flow, so it is so helpful to know what the kids are used to!

Just my 2 cents!

Wow, things must be quiet if we're still talking about notes.

Aaaand Brooks took off his diaper and found a piece of trash on the floor and was putting it in his mouth, with Cullen sitting right there next to him. I guess the potential vlog footage of Brooks taking off his diaper was more important than moving from his comfy position laying on the floor or taking the trash away from him.
Are they teaching Gaines how to float on her back if she falls in?
I could have gone all day without seeing the mouth full of goldfish. Let's stuff as many goldfish in our mouths as we can!

Why does it seem like there is always trash on their floor? I get being disorganized people in general, and being cluttered, but I will never get the garbage!

Tired of seeing Cullen do that stupid cheerleader trick in the pool with the kids. That and him falling backwards into the water with the GoPro.

Maybe she got a ton of compliments on it while she was at the pool party and decided to try it. I've wished before that she would embrace those curls every once in a while bc its so cute on her!

Maybe this is just me, coming from someone with an overstepping, bossy sister, but one tiny thing irked the hell out of me today. When Gaines asked if she could have fruit snacks (?) before bed, WHY did Kelly chime in before C&K to tell her no she can't have them? I agree that no, she doesn't need candy before bed and obviously C&K did too, but before Katie could even open her mouth Kelly is telling her no. Her parents are RIGHT THERE Kelly, let them tell their kid what they can and can't do. Not your place. If you were the adult in charge then great, but with both parents there i think they can handle telling Gaines she cant have a snack right now. It's just little things like that, that really makes me not love Kelly a whole lot. Like i said i have had a bossy, overstepping, over controlling sister my whole life so maybe i'm overreacting but i can just tell she is like this all the time. She probably means well, but it annoys me.

I agree, and I think living so close may become an issue sooner than later if they don't establish some ground rules. You can love your siblings, nieces, and nephews to pieces, but they are with each other almost every day. Sometimes it seems like the JK kids just randomly show up at C&K's house.

Did Gaines then have food in her mouth right after that interaction, too?

I do really like the curls! And it's probably so much easier! As a mom with youngsters, I wanted something I didn't have to blow dry and straighten! Especially in the summer, when it's already hot, and where they are, humid!

The only part that stuck out today was when Gaines left her new toy on the ground in the kitchen and they just left it. It would have taken 2 seconds to pick it up.

I think Gaines did have food in her mouth, but I could be wrong. Agree also that fruit snacks are basically candy...
And that yeah, Kelly better learn to keep her mouth shut. At Katie's house, with Katie right there, it's not her place to say no. I also have a bossy oldest sister (maybe it goes with being the oldest) and if she did that, I would have to take her aside and say something.

They're doing an incredible job teaching Gaines to swim. I love her love of water. I wonder if she'll follow in Cullen's footsteps and do diving or some other water related sport.

Sorry, one more comment: I have a pretty cluttered house too. Both my parents were pack rats. So the clutter doesn't bother me-- or at least, if I said something about it, it would be pretty hypocritical. But I also don't get the trash on the floor. Especially with a crawling baby who is at the "into the mouth" stage. And I have seen it in a bunch of vlogs. It's not like it was a one-time thing. The diaper, whatever-- all babies do that, and they didn't show anything. But it's not right to just lie there while he picks up a piece of trash and puts it in his mouth.

see now stuff like that doesn't bother me at all. I would have been exhausted if i picked up every single toy my kids dropped on the floor the second it got dropped. Just as long as it got picked by the child before bed i don't really care if a toy is on the floor. It's like that saying "Picking up after your kids while they are still awake is like shoveling snow in the middle of blizzard". A stuffed monkey being left on the floor while they were playing school is really not a big deal to me.

I don't know about the food in her mouth, i didn't notice bc i was too huffy about Kelly lol I'm not against bedtime snacks, but candy isn't what i would allow lol.
You both are exactly right, This is Katie's home and Katie's child. I wonder what the reaction from Kelly would be if Katie did the same thing to her? I wonder if Katie just rolls with it bc Kelly has always been that way? But i would have said something, but i also would NOT want my sister at my house every day like they do, but then again I also wouldn't buy a home 4 doors down from my sister either. I hope they at least call in advance before they show up at Katie's or send the kids there.

LOL I never heard that saying before. I have heard "cleaning the house with kids around is like brushing your teeth while eating oreos." Shoveling during a blizzard actually makes sense. Easier to shovel a few inches of snow several times than a few feet of snow all at once. Coming from someone that lives where blizzards are not uncommon.
