Probably did the renovations to boost sales potentials, but it can't have been cheap to do all that they did, and their house is fairly average at best (from what I can tell from american houses....i'm in the uk so things are a little different here).

Aren't Ellie and Bonnie building a new house somewhere? Perhaps Ruby and Kevin have been doing the same. Pot luck I decided to google where they live today

I didn’t see their house. There’s 1 that looks a LOT like theirs..but the backyard is totally different

Definitely found it. There's a lot of photos. Interesting considering Ruby was saying about wanting to renovate the laundry room. She did have a fairly recent post or story about finding the house too small for growing kids, but then said she loved it... So very strange to then list the place.

Anyone want to share hints on how to find it? Curious as the next one...
They did buy property, but they talked about building a cabin on it for vacations.
This is interesting-- Ellie and Jared started their channel in 2011, Bonnie in 2013, and Ruby in 2015. She got very little help from E&J, to the point of them actually blocking her name and her channel name in their comments for a while, and she is doing MUCH better than E&J. They are down to $7K-$116K for their yearly estimate , and Ruby is at $42K-$678K. E&J top out at $9K/month, while Ruby's top estimate is $56K/month. Plus Chad and Shari have channels, and they are bringing some $$ in, and Kevin never quit his job.
Ellie and Bonnie are probably VERY jealous.

Wow!!! Just found the listing. It has a pending status. They kept that quiet. It will be interesting to see where they end up. I bet Bonnie is just green with envy as she will be the only one of the three who hasn’t moved up in their housing status. So do we think they are building on their property or just moving to a bigger home??

Kendal Rich from it’s R Life threw a fit because a fan put a letter in the mailbox outside her house. They too are moving house. This is also a self entitled woman who thinks nothing is beyond her desires

Nope! I’m LDS and don’t live in Utah. The majority of LDS women in Utah the 30-40 year old range overdo everything. Makeup, hair, clothes etc. They DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT represent the rest of the women in the church in any way shape or form. The Griffith women are an embarrassment. As are so many other LDS vlogging wives/mothers.

Nope! I’m LDS and don’t live in Utah. The majority of LDS women in Utah the 30-40 year old range overdo everything. Makeup, hair, clothes etc. They DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT represent the rest of the women in the church in any way shape or form. The Griffith women are an embarrassment. I think the lookalike thing is more dependent on the fact that they live in the same area and have probably lot of same heritage. LDS people outside Utah are more likely to be converts (of course some originate from Utah) and therefore have different genetic make-up.

Of course one person doesn't represent the entire group but you have to accept that when there is more people like that, people start to make conclusions. Fair or not. Also, you live outside of the Utah bubble. I've heard that Mormon culture is somewhat different there. (I can't state that as a fact, I don't have first-hand experience)

$420,000 is the listing price. I found it very easily on Zillow

I think it’s a Utah Mormon thing. I grew up in SLC and a vast majority of my first cousins still live in Utah spread from Logan to Provo and they all have those same Utah eyelashes, hair extensions, and overdo everything. The Mormons I’ve met in other states dress very differently.

Yes. That means someone put an offer on it and it was accepted or they counter offered and the potential buyer accepted the counter offer. The buyer has 3 days to deliver earnest money- if they don’t the house goes back on the market.

That was very fast, barely 48 hours.

Just because the list price is so high and all of the renos- that doesn’t mean they will get that much from it. The house will have to be appraised and if it appraises for any less the bank won’t allow the buyers to purchase it- Ruby and Kevin will have to lower the price. During the appraisal the value of the other houses in the area and the past sales of them are taken into account. Therefore, if the other houses are outdated it will bring the appraisal value down for their house.

I could see the value going down because on the listing it says the house is newly renovated but the reno year hasn’t been updated. The leads me to believe that there wasn’t permits pulled for them- that can hurt during resale.

The price is very in line with similar homes in that area. They are working with a realtor. Even though the realty company has a very stupid name, it’s extremely unusual for realtors to list a house so out of its price range that it can’t be sold for the price.

If their house really is for sale, I’m glad it’s happening. All the kids need their own rooms. 14 year old Chad shouldn’t have to share with Russell and Julie shouldn’t have to share with her littlest sibling Eve.

To be honest I think that is still not Ruby’s priority. I would be so surprised if the kids got their own rooms. There are probably more selfish, self centered reasons for the move.

They have a real estate agent and they generally don't let owners get to ahead of themselves with pricing their house too high leading it to be a problem at the time the house is appraised. I highly doubt they completed the recent renovations without building permits-hiring a contractor. I'm not sure why you think their home is priced high. With appraisals, the cosmetics upgrades don't add value, but I image creating a new living space-backyard could help. The house showed well leading to a quick offer and earnest money is put in escrow at the time the purchase agreement is signed.
