My hands/fingers hurt Weird achy pain and they're swollen. Whiny student rant below. You've been warned.

I love the field I'm studying for, but.. It's getting tough. I totally respect doctors all that much more now. So far all my numeric grade courses are 3 aside of one (they're only graded 0-3). But I'm starting to doubt if it's very realistic I maintain such high average. I keep telling myself "get good papers and that's a passageway to higher nursing degree", but I'm slowly loosing the fun of it for worrying over my grades too much. The criteria's for 3's are insanely tough because there's only such a small scale to grade us with.

First trimester/semester was somewhat easy, but now we're drilling into anatomy&physiology, medical calculus, illnesses, how to treat them, medication, different medication types/doses, basic care, First aid, injections.. It's just three weeks into this semester (trimester? Is it called a trimester if one year's chopped into three sections?) and we've already had two exams.

I don't know how to relax. I know I probably wouldn't need to worry as much as I do, but where the f is the off button? Like.. Seriously, I think too much.
Any tips on how to just relax and let it go for a while?

I'm not sure what I'm whining about anymore either. Sorry.

When a teacher steals away your breath, it is kind of embarrassing. Kind of like a steam train you never saw coming hitting you at full force. Not something I even like admitting to myself. Realistically I know it's a no go and I understand. Sadly it doesn't stop my body from going into full rage mode. And it makes it so hard to focus into what we're actually studying. I'm 25, not some little school girl, but try telling that to my body.

There. Now I've ranted.

With school, job, baby etc I don't post too much, but I do have a few posters I do love! These are in no particular order:
1. Betty: I have so much respect for you, being an amazing mom and everything. I also agree with a vast majority of your posts!
2. Subject99: I see you a lot in the Lindsey thread and I love all your posts, and you're a respectful poster
3. KaylieCoburn: your posts stand out to me in a lot of threads, in a very good way!
4. Goose: Your posts always entertain me so much! Your poem/verses that you create sometime just have me laughing for so long. I also agree with a lot of your posts and feel they uphold a lot of my beliefs lol. Also your humor reminds me a lot of my moms humor, which is a good thing as shes basically my best friend lol)
5. ORN: especially in the Ashley thread, I love it when you whip out your science, it's always absolutely amazing.

I just love all the posters on this forum.

1) HelloHolaHallo (hope I got the username right) - with gems like "I'm pretty sure all it takes is an instagram shoutout to get into her gingerbread house" and "Drake has a sprinkler for a penis", you literally make me spit out my drink with tears running down my face on a regular basis.

2) Flossy - has a special way of getting her point across and is never afraid to defend her opinion even if it's an unpopular one. Bonus points because this poor lady has listened to me pour my heart out many times and never once has she turned me away when I needed to get it out.

3) Whatsername - a YTMD OG. Never afraid to stand up for herself and has the sense to walk away when it gets too crazy and I can respect that immensely.

4) ambiORN - whether it's a hilarious nonsense sleeping med post or if she's dropping some serious wit and knowledge, her posts never ever disappoint.

5) goosey - ohhhh goose. We definitely don't see eye to eye all the time, but her posts always have a strange eloquence to them haha. She doesn't back down and she's not afraid to tell it like it is because she knows if you're really a friend, you will suck it up and take it like a (wo)man.

6) jrgold19 aka potato princess - you were such an idiot but it always made me laugh... You poor poor thing. I really admired your blissful ignorance and there is just something to be said for the entertainment value of all of your posts.

7) cakey - good ol' Switzerland haha she's a hoot and she's so genuine and sweet, how could you not love her? She can also snark with the best of em.

8) 80085 - I disagree with her opinion often, but every once in awhile she has a post with a hilarious zinger in it and the witty gals are always my fav.

9) TaylorKnows - I forget how young she is sometimes and it's pretty remarkable to see how much she has grown over the past 2 years. It's also shocking that she's the same age as some of the mothers we watch and shes miles more intelligent and grounded than they could ever dream of. This girl is gonna go places.

10)SomeOfTheseBitches - Krissy Krissy Krissy... That's all I have to say. Props for being able to control yourself this time though... You're really not too unbearable since you left YT and I'm glad to see you making some positive changes in your life.

I know I left people out even though I went double or nothin' so don't be surprised if I'm back to thank more.

I can totally relate to you. It'll be worth it soon, mark my words. Nursing school almost ate me alive. I haven't been on this site long, but I have a soft spot for it already. Primarily being a night owl by nature everyone here keeps me quite entertained! Aside from that, best wishes to you!

I just realized I'm slow.. Lol your signature says heigh ho heigh ho.. And my middle name is Leigh, so I was pronouncing it in my head like "hee ho hee ho" and wondering wtf?? And then I thought well ee isn't typically how you would pronounce eigh in a word, so I started pronouncing it in my head as "hay ho, hay ho.." and was still wondering wtf??

Then it occurred to me today, "hai ho, hai ho, it's off to work we go!"
