My latest speculation is that maybe they’re trying this new schedule because they are officially trying to get pregnant. Remember how touchy Missy was about all the “hate” when she was first pregnant with Finn, and how Bryan had to give the big heart to heart? If they are a couple days behind on their upload schedule, they can manipulate things a bit more. And also keep the pregnancy under wraps until they are ready to announce. Didn’t Ellie and Jared do this around the time they got pregnant again? I bet if Bryan thinks it’s working well for them, he wouldn’t hesitate to do the same.

Honestly, if that is why, I could support that. Missy (whiny as she is) legitimately gets sick with her pregnancies, and I think it’s ok to do what they need to do during the first trimester. And, I guess if the “hate” really bothers her that much, she should try to stay away from it during pregnancy to keep herself healthy. I do think she’s overly sensitive and whiny...but I also think it’s ok for her to advocate her her needs while she’s pregnant. Even if her needs make us roll our eyes lol.

We’ll see though. I guess if that’s the reason, they can’t really come out as say it - otherwise 3 million minions are going to be asking constantly if she’s pregnant. (Although that hasn’t stopped them from teasing about it before and then crying because people think they see a bump )

1. Ellie and Jared didn't change to their delayed schedule til after their announcement. Her family didn't even know til they were back from being out of the country.

2. They are more than a few days behind schedule - they're straight up all over the place. Weeks behind to faking shit now.

3. I really don't think they'll have another and if they do, I'll eat my words. I think they're sick of the responsibility of their channel. Bryan bought/rented that studio place in hopes of bringing in income besides Youtube I think. Anyways, my 10 cents. Again, I could totally be wrong

I’m gonna need to find new vloggers to hate watch. Dailybumps was unique in that they were mildly entertaining, not a complete dumpster fire, but also just terrible enough to provide consistent gossip material. Most of the other vloggers are either too likeable to snark about, boring AF or just complete garbage people.

I think vlogging as we knew it is dead. Or dying. You know it’s bad when the Steps to Wander thread moves faster than this one.

I came to ask the same thing! They and other vloggers seem to be really falling apart! Seems like a lot of them are cutting back or talking about cutting back.

Either they are buying their own hype and think the minions won’t grow tired of them, or they are intentionally trying to alienate them.

It just makes no sense to go from daily for 5 years to flaky and dismissive like this.

Also, someone mentioned that their messed up schedule and lack of vlogs could be related to them trying to get pregnant... I disagree. I think they are just sick of it and realize vlogging is just probably dying out!

Are they even with a network anymore? I can’t imagine the network would be ok with them going totally rogue and just posting whenever. Maybe an established new schedule....but just random videos? I can’t imagine that would fly.

And I was the one who said maybe the new schedule was due to wanting to get pregnant. It was just a thought I had - I guess I was thinking that they’d stop with this random doing-whatever-they-want phase and get set in something different, but established (M/W/F or uploading two days behind - something like this). I just thought it might be one plausible explanation for changing the schedule. But, if they continue like this, then yes...they are just over it. I thought that after yesterday’s vlog where they “got home” would be the end of their announced break and they would start uploading more recent stuff again. But it’s not looking like it!

It’s the inevitable end of daily vloggers. They love it at first because it’s easy, you don’t have a typical 9-5, you rake in money like nothing, and you have hordes of followers.
But with a lifestyle like that, you become accustomed to the lazy lifestyle.
After a while, even daily videos and editing becomes too much for these sloths and they all end up falling off the planet.
I can’t say I’m mad. Daily vloggers are a joke. It’s just pathetic that it becomes too much work for these people

Here's what I don't get. If they stop making daily vlogs and lose viewers, then how exactly do they expect to make money? Surely they know how much they lost with Bryan's music hobby. They have spent a ton. I do not believe that they have enough invested to live off of.

Do you think they know what they are doing, or do you think they are planning to live off of the views from previous vlogs? I'd feel sorry for them if it was the latter. They don't have a Shaytards-level following.

I can't imagine that they are really so deluded as to think that Bryan's "music career" is going to support them in the style to which they have become accustomed. And they may have some savings, but not what they need to support themselves long-term.
I think they really believe their minions think they can do no wrong, and that they can just goof off and their fan base won't move on. They are always saying things like "we got here through hard work". And I don't deny that Bryan hustled to get a following. But it's not just hard work. Some of it is dumb luck.
The problem with deleting and blocking anyone who says anything remotely negative, is that eventually all they see are positive comments, and they get a warped view of things.
I don't know what they're thinking. But they are going to alienate people.

I think it is the latter, I don’t think they’re smart about their finances at all. Also don’t think they give a shit anymore. My honestly thoughts are that they planned on taking their 10 day vacation, realized how much they loved not vlogging and now are struggling to motivate themselves to work again...

I agree, I mean look at Missy’s channel, she can’t consistently upload a video on that channel to save her life. She did it consistently for awhile but every time she stops uploading it takes like practically a YEAR for her to actually upload on a schedule again.
