I've never met so many people who love to make themselves suffer only to complain endlessly about it. One woman in her comments doesn't use her heat or air conditioning and just huddles under blankets or lays under a fan. Why? Why be miserable other than to point out to other people how much more pious you are than them.

I feel badly for any future SO that kid has. She is the worst of all the possible Mother-in-laws ever. Can you imagine if he doesn't put his foot down and draw clear boundaries she will ruin any relationship he has.

His best bet would be to move far enough away his parents are too cheap to ever visit. So he'd be in control of all the visits.

I was appalled that she told people to be grateful to sleep in a car. I was shocked that she is still shopping, and that she admitted that it is "every man for themselves'' when shopping. Doesn't she claim to have a stocked pantry that she could live off of for months on end?
