Why was the camera on before the lady came up to Lucy? I wonder if Lucy was warned already by this lady so they decided to turn the camera on to hopefully catch some drama, which they sure did!

I was wondering the same thing. Lucy is one of those woman who just whip her boob out to nurse. She doesn't care. However, while nursing, a baby's mouth is completely covering a mothers nipple usually. So her just showing her skin shouldn't be an issue, because if so, then EVERYONE needs to cover themselves up for showing skin.

I do think that the lady probably said something to her, then Lucy ignored her and Joel saw her coming up and decided to film it.

I am actually in agreement with Lucy here. I don't think women should have to cover up unless they are blatantly making a show of it. This is what our breasts are there for...not sex or appearance...they are to feed babies. Period! I used to be against public bfing uncovered until I had my daughter...she hated being covered and there were some occasions, like a trip to the renaissance festival, where I had no choice but to just do it uncovered. The car was too far away and it was too crowded for me to find a hidden corner. Sometimes, especially if you have other kids, it is impossible to seclude yourself for 30 minutes (newborns take a long time to eat!) and like I said...some babies just don't like being covered and will scream bloody murder the moment you try! I now use a baby carrier with a sleep hood to feed her...it doesn't majorly cover me but it covers enough...best I can do with my stubborn girl!

Also, sadly I witnessed a mother who was bfing COVERED get harassed and kicked out of a FAMILY place two weeks ago...they told her to feed in their unclean bathroom or leave so she left. I gave the manager a peice of my mind afterwards and the manager gave me stupid excuses and told me she doesn't want bfing in her facility. I went home and told all my play groups...the place regretted what they did afterwards! And I'm not even Internet famous. This is going to be 10 x worse. I'm sick of people freaking out over a body part doing what it was meant to!

Totally agree! Makes my blood boil! And a WOMAN told her to cover up! Hah! Despicable!

Okay now I heard it, Thanks! I honestly hope not Karsyn, it sounds to masculine and she doesn't suit it. I honestly think she looks like a Gracelyn, Raelyn or Eilyn, those seem more feminine and they suit her more. Does anyone else think she looks like baby Jacelyn?

I follow another mom that has a daughter named Karsyn. If Lucy does in fact use that name, this mom should protest and make a big deal about it the way Lucy did when some lady named her daughter Jacelyn years ago!

I know! I love how Joel stood up for his wife, though! He knew just when to intervene, that woman was basically harassing Lucy. Her point was made, Lucy understood and made her stance known; the 'conversation', I'd call it harassment, should have ended there. But no, this woman wasn't done. She would have harassed and humiliated Lucy into leaving, had they allowed her to. Joel did the right thing, in my opinion, as did Lucy. She wasn't even ignorant.

Karsyn's a god-awful name. Carson is bad enough for a boy, but Karsyn? It's an incredibly masculine name with jacked up spelling. That poor child. The other kids' names are looking better now.

Carson McCullers is an author who has written some well-known novels (The Heart is a Lonely Hunter), and a woman, and she was born almost 100 years ago. It's not just a male name.

Oh I absolutely agree with you! Joel did exactly what he should have done and got her to back off his wife. I would've given her the same response after saying that she supposedly already called the police.

And also how the video was set up, where she approached Lucy without any other words other than asking her to leave, makes me believe that she had already spoke to Lucy about leaving and then followed her to the front. That in itself, would definitely be called harassment in my book!

O.k. ladies. I know as women or nursing mothers this sort of thing gets us upset, but this is Lucy! I was on IG this morning and saw her nursing pic at Target. My first thought was, she purposely went there to nurse in public. PHOTO OP for breastfeeding week. So then later this big thing happens. I swear to you, she travelled all around for today and yesterday pulling her boob out for controversy. Just waiting. Taking the kids here and there. I do not think there is anything wrong with nursing in public. I am a nursing mother. I also just by my nature very modest and private at it. I wear a tank top under my shirt. If someone sees a boob oh well! But I am discreet. Sometimes that is possible sometimes not.My daughter would scream if I covered her with one of those nursing tarps. It took 3 kids to get me comfortable though. If you think on breastfeeding week this was not planned, you are an idiot. And who is in the know of the incident? Someone on IG said they were there. Come tell the story.

According to the news, Burleson is stating that they are aware of a mothers right to breastfeed in public but that they were protecting the rights of the others in the building not to be subjected to seeing her breasts...
