I need to talk to someone about the genetic testing they are doing on Amelia (or both?).
I felt like they always favour her (even Angela has more photos of her than Ivy on her IG) and now i feel like it's because she's the one looking like a bio child.

I know the twins have the right to know their true identities, but could it be possible than 1 embryo was bio and 1 "donated"? They should of had sex in the same days of the treatment (donation? IV? I don't know the word!) and be THAT lucky?

Please excuse me, I'm trully ignorant in this matter!! And excuse my English, i tried wording it as best as i could

Tbh I think them doing genetic testing to find out if milly is actually bio is insane. I know she claims that it’s because they want to know more about them because they are adopted, but I feel like the main reason is because Angie thinks milly is bio. She won’t ever say that’s the main reason though.
That would mean by some fucking miracle they would’ve had sex within a few days of the transfer(are you allowed to do this?), and then had her own eggs, which were pretty useless at this point, get fertilized.

In the comments someone asked if it was nearly impossible for this to happen and Angie said it does still happen (or something along those lines). I feel like there is no chance that she is their bio. They’d been trying forever. No way that they just happened to get pregnant and then only one of the two embryos took all at the same time.

I just assumed, since she carried them, it’s possible some of her traits passed on to them. Like with organ transplants. There is evidence to suggest that recipients often take on characteristics of the donor (personality and otherwise but not looks of course—we aren’t embryos ha). I’ve had 2 kidney transplants and I can attest to that happening after the second (the 1st was from my older sister & 2nd from my mom). Maybe something like that happens with donated embryos.

I don’t think genetic testing is necessarily bad though. I think it would be beneficial to know those things. I just think they will be crushed at first because they’ve let themselves believe she is their bio child.

Is that the sole reason they’re doing genetic testing? If so, that is very strange. Big ol’ Side eye here.

They're coming up with other reasons to justify it in retrospect, but yes the idea completely came up to see is Amelia is their bio kid (which she definitely isn't but ok).

What botters me more is: yes, she has blonde hair. She has blue eyes, ajam. She has chubby cheeks, yep. But that doesn't mean she's her bio child, or that Ivy isn't because she doesn't fit the "family looks"! Me and my sister look nothing alike, so why can't both of them be her bio kids?. I find it a little weird you know, like disrespectful for Ivy in a way Image.

I'm sure none of them are, but...idk. Maybe it's just me Image.

They think Amelia looks like Kennedy who looks just like her father. Its not possible for CR to pass on his DNA in this way. Lol.

What bothers me is that it’s been obvious for a long time that Angela treats the blond twin better than the other one. Maybe it’s just me, but even the nicknames they were given are different, I remember that the family was thinking about it and she was stuck on calling them “chicken and Millie”.

I feel so sorry for ivy to grow up with the worst nickname and now she may have to see these videos one day of how they feel such a special connection to her twin they have to do genetic testing! It’s ridiculous. Those girls look just alike to me, with different hair.

Even if she is like...then what? They just drown in guilt forever knowing they feel more of a connection to the bio kid than the adopted one? What about their other adopted kids too? When they grow up and realize their parents tested their sisters as babies because they were so desperate to know if one of them was a bio kid and it absolutely couldn't wait until they were older?

That’s true. I don’t really pay much attention to them anymore so I forgot that they thought she looked like the older girl. I don’t see her looking like Kennedy. I think she’s just a blonde haired blue eyed white baby and they’ve led themselves to believe they look just alike.

She definitely favors the blonde twin. That’s why I started to dislike her. I was a big fan for 3 years but she always seemed kind of disconnected from the other twin and that changed my mind on her quickly.

Yeah, that seems messed up. I can’t believe fans would go along with that and say “totally normal!”. For being an adoptive family, this is a totally alienating move to make toward their twin daughters.

For whatever reason I thought Angie had her own subforum and there was another thread for her homeschool channel. Sorry for the double post!

Is Angie being sponsored by her new homeschool curriculum? I ask because another Youtuber used and promoted the curriculum, but this year came out saying why she was no longer using it — if I remember correctly, it was a rather controversial reason and it seemed like she was given the material to use. I know some sponsorships will go from one Youtuber to another when it comes to sponsoring. I got the feeling this might be the case with Angie. It just seems kind of strange.

When Angie first time mentioned the genetic testing and the possibility that the another would be their bio, I thought that she was nuts!!!
The twins look, not identical of course, but like sisters. They definitely are either both bio, or not. I think it is insane that after years of infertility, they would do IVF and it would turn out that the twins are their bio-kids.
I absolutely despise that Angie is calling the another twin ''chicken''. It's not cute. It just sounds like an insult to her looks.

What kind of ivf did they have with the twins? Was it donated eggs and sperm? Donated embryo?

Donated embryo. So basically no chance for his husbands sperm to fertilize the egg.

She would have to have ovulated at the same time. I saw a lot of comments under the baby update w/ genetic testing video and there was a lot of people who commented how slim of a chance it was, but she did acknowledge a comment that said people will take on characteristics like facial expressions over time. Spouses will even start to look like each other.

She said it would be good to learn potential medical history. Should one baby’s genetic testing be the same as the other, or would it be beneficial to test both?
