I rarely post here because I rarely watch them, but I came here to comment on that! How old is Shari??? "It's going to be here before you know it..." Uh, doesn't Shari want to be a lawyer? 4 years of college plus 3 years of law school after high school, then studying for the bar, then working 80+ hours a week as an associate. Sounds like she's going to have a tough choice between that and the pressure of Ruby to be a grandma right away.

Between that and Ruby locking the door to the Airbnb THREE FLIPPING TIMES and locking everybody out, I realized why I don't watch them ever.

Nice rating, but that's only from two reviews, one of which is only word long. I use ratemyprofessor every semester to pick my classes and I try and steer clear of the professors who don't have a lot of reviews or any at all for me to base my decision on. He also has a 4.0 difficulty level, but that's probably because of his subject matter.

Although I posted his score I did think Ruby got on and did one. Based of how he presents himself on the videos I would never take his classes he seems like an arrogant man.

That whole conversation made me sick. "It will happen very soon" knowing the girls in that family get married right out of highschool and start growing families. I can absolutely see Shari being a mom that resents her children because she wasn't able to have a college and career before becoming a mom is she follows in her families footsteps.

I also find it very concerning that Kevin cannot take care of the children. God forbid something happens to Ruby and he has to take care of the children fulltime..he can't even cook healthy for the children

I think someone else might have speculated this already, but, does anyone think this is just an act he is playing up for the vlogs?

A while back when Julie/Landon were still in Missouri there was a vlog on their channel where Kevin came to town for work. He offered to take care of the kids while the Derus' stay in his hotel. He cooked(well fed, it may have been take-out), cleaned, juggled all the kids like a champ. Yes, the Derus' have less kids, but he was a whole different person. He seemed to even interact better with them than his own frickin kids.

I do think him bringing take-out home so he doesn't have to eat her chicken and rice meal, & then the pot roast incident are kind of A-hole behavior...

I think this current helpless stunt is all for the vlog. Just wait until Ruby gets home and she gets all this pampering and praise for being mom of the year (#mothersarepowerful), she works so hard, & blah blah kiss her filthy feet eyeroll.

Long time "lurker" but first time to comment. I cannot stand Ruby or this family. I started watched years ago and really like Ruby but she has changed so much over the years as her channel grew and she became so fake and she began to parent less and less and only care about views, money, footage and became so self centered over the years. Sheri is annoying as hell. Eve is a brat and gets away with anything she wants because Ruby is too busy either sleeping or taking a bath or going on date nights or solo vacations or exploiting her other kids. I feel sorry for Chad all the time because it's obvious to everyone he hates being filmed and would much rather live a normal life. Julie is annoying but I can deal with her, I do like Abby and feel bad that she is in this family. And Kevin..........What an act. He is putting on a show b/c he has no backbone and Ruby tells him exactly what he should do for the vlog. I think he is in the closet and may or may not come out someday. Ruby is just pathetic. She openly admits to going to college for one sememster to get a husband. She openly talks about how she scheduled classes in a certain building that would be close to the engineering department. How pathetic is that? And she calls herself a self-proclaimed "role model for young girls" She is so freaking dumb and yet she truely believes she is so smart. She smells herself in public, locks her out of the rental house 3 times and shows it thinking it's funny meanwhile inconviencing the owner to have to drop everything to go open the stupid door for her. She let's her kids do whatever they want, even encouraging their bad, loud behavior b/c she thinks it's good "footage" She set's up and scripts half the crap she shows. I could go on and on but needed to rant now that I'm finally able to comment!

^ I speculated this. I 100% think it's for the vlogs. Not saying he's a super cook or cleaner, (although he could be) but I definitely think he's hamming up the clueless dad act for the viewers. Joel did it a bit too with his kids while Bonnie was away (giving the kids Mountain Dew and all sorts of junk) when we know perfectly well he's capable of caring for the kids very well. I don't really think it's doing anyone any favours to be honest, though. Just reinforces stereotypes that dads are hopeless 'babysitters' and mums are always better with the hands-on stuff.

I saw 8 passengers answering someone in the comment section who was comparing Kevin to Ruby and questioning his parenting skills. He/they answered that it's all a little bit of tongue-in-cheek, it's mostly for the camera, he knows how to take care of his children.
I don't see the any different between his and Ruby's parenting. People are making Ruby to be some holy mother that she isn't at all, she doesn't do so much more than he is doing now. Shari takes care of Eve and Chad Russell, the other two take care of themselves. Their kids are independent even the two youngest.
Ruby's only job is to take care of her children who are mostly at school during the day. Kevin is working while caring for his kids. I've noticed that the children seem more outgoing, happy and relaxed around him. They don't look as bothered when he's filming them as they sometimes do when their mother has the camera.
Kevin is a good dad who've always been there for his family, so comparing him to that egotistical Shaytard-dad is just mean. Kevin has put up with a lot of Ruby's shenanigans while maintaining his calm something that Ruby herself has mentioned many times. It's one thing to be annoyed with this family but some of Kevin’s critics are unnecessary harsh.
I feel that Ruby is one of the luckiest youtuber wife out there because when this all ends which it will one day for many of them, her husband will still be able to take care of his family because he knows his duty and never quit.
I may be overreacting but I had a terrible father and can tell that Kevin is a good one.

no i think its simply down to. when its not your kid, you tend to worry about screwing up so you put more effort into someone less closer then your own flesh and blood. its like your loved ones are move likely to hold the door for a stranger rather then you. i watched that vlog the other day. and he came in the afternoon. they all went out for dinner together before they left and he pretty much just read them a story. my point is. i think he really is that useless, and his pleading for his wife to come home is hilarious. i guess that might make him think twice about how much she does.

And of course Shari had no friends at her birthday party ... because she probably doesn't have any. She's lured in that young Brevin fellow, who likely enjoys the attention of appearing on the vlog and he brings his brother with him... I almost feel bad for her.
At 15, I was going out to chain restaurants with 20+ friends for my birthday.

What is the deal with this Brevin? He seems like a really sweet kid, I’m aware that they ‘aren’t allowed to date til they’re 16’ but what’s the point if she basically is dating him just not calling it dating??
