Re: This Is How We Bingham
So the day after "Teaching Our Children the True Meaning of Christmas", what is today's vlog?.
Christmas wish lists (send us these items! Here is our PO box address) and writing letters to Santa, aka making sure viewers know _exactly_ what we want...

Re: This Is How We Bingham
Ok... Todays vlog actually was rediculous. They wrote a letter to santa asking for THREE things?!?! Like they know we watch them every year right?!?!
And Branden quite literally BEGGING for a free one wheel because it is "a little bit out of their price range".
WTF?! They just bought 2 new cars, remodled the kitchen and recarpeted the entire house. And they were trying to buy the lot next door. Albeit, they wanted to lowball them but for real? He cant afford his own darn one wheel?! Bull crap.
It really triggered me that they posted this video because they couldnt be more obvious that they are asking people to send these things to their kids.

Also, sorry but I think it's HYSTERICAL that this was today's vlog when 30 minutes before they uploaded it, I made a post saying how they are so materialistic with how they celebrate the holidays.

Re: This Is How We Bingham
So many comments on todays vlog about things that the viewers want for Christmas. Most of them were enough to make the Bigs put things in perspective, one would hope. You know, if they cared about people other than themselves. But they were posting things like wishes for their health or for things their families are going through or for their their kids or whatever. Then there was this one. I am kind of shocked the Bigs would have ignored a message where someone says they wanted to send them a gift. Sounds like they have been trying to get a reply from the Bigs for a while but have gotten nothing. You would think they would have just given up by now and maybe sent it to a youtuber who cares about their followers enough to actually reply.

Re: This Is How We Bingham
I agree with you on Branden wanting the one wheel, but I do feel like you've got some things wrong. They didn't re-carpet the entire house, the did the lounge, entrance hallway and upstairs, which most of that was covered by insurance from the toilet flood, they did extra areas, such as the stairs and entrance hallway because it would have looked odd with miss-matched carpet. I wouldn't count repainting kitchen cupboards as remodling, they didn't change the flooring, counter tops, or the design of the cupboard doors. I think the truck was brand new, but the van wasn't, they managed to get some sort of deal on it due to Mindy's Dad working there or something. Yes they do seem to have some pretty expensive spending habits, especially for people who don't have an entirely secure income, but they're not entirely frivolous.Snarkadoodle Doo wrote:Ok... Re: This Is How We Bingham
Branden's attempts at getting someone to send them a One Wheel is disgusting. Why is this something that you NEED? I just looked them up and they are $1200-1600. With their track record of stupidity and lack of safety awareness, someone would break a bone or crack their skull the first day they had possession of it.

Amen, sista! You are blessed with wonderful parents!lmmomSD wrote:I was brought up in a very religious household, and consider myself a Christian, and honestly, I am more offended by their unashamed gluttony and conspicuous consumption than by your comments.itsame wrote:I like how the parents are "educating" their children on the true meaning of Christmas- nothing but a heavily commercialized sales holiday- by naturally buying them all trees and going out for a fancy dinner. Please, I hope no one takes offense to this comment, as I respect everyone's beliefs, but it's just frustrating to me personally to watch people who profess such a strong belief in Christ that seem to know nothing about him or even the origins of many of the customs of the holiday they are choosing to celebrate him with. They seem to get the materialism aspect of it perfectly well, though.
Again, please forgive me if I am out of line, no disrespect meant.
My parents were very active in the Episcopal Church. But they were judgy or holier than thou. We had openly gay friends of the family. My dad took care of one of them when he was dying of AIDS. They raised money for and opened a low cost daycare/early childhood education center in the poor neighborhood of Virginia Beach. They taught refugees English and helped them get settled in the US. I can only hope to be as good as they were. And they never boasted about any of the things they did. To them being Christian was about being "Christ _like_". And Jesus hung out with the poor, the "sinners", and the outcasts. I don't think he would recognize or claim these materialistic show offs.
Sorry for ranting. These people just irritate me. Going to church doesn't make you Christian any more than standing in a garage makes you a car. The way these people pat themselves on the back for doing a couple of nice things (and putting it in monetized videos) is not "Christian".

Yes, I'm aware of what they did, though really I was just trying to make a point of how ridiculous they are. Didnt really think semantics of a post giving 100% of all the. little details was detrimental on a gossip site, lol. I'd agree that they are probably not the most frivolous youtubers out there, but they take a few steps up that ladder quite often as far as I'm concerned. Whether someone has watched them from the beginning or even just since Branden quit his job, their spending habits have gotten increasingly worse. Its crazy really.littlemissmuffet123 wrote:I agree with you on Branden wanting the one wheel, but I do feel like you've got some things wrong. They didnt NEED to put carpet in all those extra rooms. They wouldnt be the first people to have to wait to have matching carpet until they can afford it. Insurance didn't (or shouldnt have) paid for rooms not touched by water. Maybe they could have picked something that matched what they already had better.
They didnt NEED to paint cabinets and buy all that hardware. The kitchen looked beautiful just the way it was. Its not like it had damage that had to be fixed. It was just not "savage" enough of a backdrop for youtube videos. In their opinion. I thought it was lovely.
They didnt NEED a new truck. Or a new car, even if it was used. I thought the car was new, so perhaps I was wrong there. But still they didnt NEED those things. And honestly they also didn't need to help buy Madi a car too. She could be like almost every other teen in America who uses her parents car to go places or take a school bus.
They didnt need to go on all those vacations either. Well I guess they did actually. They wouldnt have had all that toddler broken arm clickbait $ if they hadnt gone on vacation.
Doing any of those things without a true need for it, especially without an established and steady income, is pretty frivolous as far as I'm concerned. Haha.

Agreed. Guaranteed none of these YouTube families have money saved for retirement. No thought goes into what will happen when the dam breaks and the YouTube well runs dry. They throw around money left and right that they don’t need to spend. They’ll be building a new house by the end of next year.Snarkadoodle Doo wrote:Yes, I'm aware of what they did, though really I was just trying to make a point of how ridiculous they are. Oh I absolutely think that if Branden and Mindy's parents didn't end up buying them that lot next door as a Christmas gift, that they will without a doubt, announce they're moving no later than spring.JD386 wrote:Agreed. I'm confused. Mindy said in today's vlog "this isn't a paid sponsorship". But didn't Nerf send them the guns for free? Isn't that the same thing?

Re: This Is How We Bingham
I would consider it to be. As far as I'm concerned, bartering for goods is payment. I actually thoight he did a cool job with editing the video, but since they said that they were doing this yesterday, I hated the came acting at the beginning. I mean obviously it was staged because normal packages dont smoke, hahaha. But they set it up during the intro like they were waiting for a package, when yesterday they said they've had it for a while. Just be genuine. Because if they were genuine AND had that neatly edited vlog (and left out the stupid cliclbait title), then they would have had a nice video today. Ugh.JD386 wrote:I'm confused. I *think* a paid sponsorship is when on top of getting the goods for free they also get paid a fee or commission, when they just get the goods people usually refer to it instead as ‘gifted’ because sure it was just a gift, nothing elseJD386 wrote:I'm confused. This is a technical question regarding the forum, was only curious if I accidentally thank a post am I able to undo this i.e. I disagree with it?
