And it's so hypocritical. "We want to show real life". But "We don't discipline on camera". Which is it? Are you being real, or are you not showing how you discipline, you "powerful mom"? If she was truly interested in "keeping it real" and showing how to be a good mom, wouldn't she show how she disciplines? Discipline is part of parenting. It doesn't mean punishment, which I think is what she means. Discipline means consistent structure, and boundaries. Not the same as punishment at all.natalka81 wrote:I can just hear their response to anyone who would say that it's inappropriate to post this stuff on the internet: "We want to keep it real! And if people were to call them out on their lack of reaction to Chad's behaviour, they'd likely say, "We discipline off camera, blah blah". Why don't you consider living your damn lives off camera, Ruby?

We’ve seen Bonnie, Ellie and Ruby scold and mock harshly. I have no doubt Grandma Griff is the same way. The more I watch her famewhoring and preaching in IG stories, the more crazy I see exposing itself. I’m not at all surprised the Griffith sisters are the way hey are, but that doesn’t excuse it. They could make changes and care more about their children than themselves. The husbands could advocate and value their children’s mental health above their wive’s needs for once, but no... the pattern continues. Even the more sensitive children like Jackson, Julie, Boston will all grow up to be dysfunctional adults controlling and abusing their own children. There’s no escape.
But she can’t vlog how she disciplines because I imagine it looks REALLY BAD, and she knows it.

Did anyone notice the dinner they had? Each person only got one fried chicken leg on a small plate, no sides. And then there were two bags of chips on the table. That wouldn't be enough for me let alone a teenage boy?! I've never seen dinner cooked with such little effort but that seems so normal for Rubys family that no kid even questions it

It's not just Ruby. Ellie does the same thing. Jackson asked for toast the other night because he was still hungry, and Ellie said "no".mckayl wrote:Did anyone notice the dinner they had? I get that money was once an issue, but it's obviously not anymore. Feed the kids a real meal. And she was actually claiming to be worried about Eve not growing?

Yes what in the world was that?! Why go to the trouble of frying your own chicken if you aren’t going to make legitimate sides. Putting some cheese cubes and broccoli out on the table prior to dinner for Kevin doesn’t count. Make a salad or green beans and some mashed potatoes potatoes. Hell, buy the box stuff and frozen mixed veggies. A family that size could probably eat through 1 and half or 2 rotisserie chickens if they were used to eating like birds. It isn’t difficult. Eve looked like she had a bowl of oatmeal or something out. I bet a kid pulled a bag of chips out because they were still hungry. And I’ll guarantee all the kids were sneaking snacks later. Ruby wants to talk about family dysfunction...the Griffith’s are seriously dysfunctional when it comes to food.

Is it any wonder that Eve isn't growing? "She doesn't eat" ha... you don't feed her a well balanced diet idiot. A corn dog for lunch every day... and now a burrito every day, is not a nutritious meal. A chicken leg and fritos, is NOT a nutritious meal. There's no reason, with her being a stay at home mom... with just Eve at home (which she should be in school...), that she can't make a full meal for her family, that has actual nutritional value to it! Even Kevin can make a meal that has more nutrition than Ruby does, and he has a full time job!mckayl wrote: ↑Sat Feb 02, 2019 7:43 pm Did anyone notice the dinner they had? I've never seen anybody using a bag of chips as part of a main meal. - Over here chips are a party snack or for people who can't stay away from shoveling in spiced crap whilst watching TV/movies.mckayl wrote: ↑Sat Feb 02, 2019 7:43 pm Did anyone notice the dinner they had? In one of the last vlogs I had to laugh at Kevin, the only time I saw him talking sternly (in relation to his meek persona) to one of the kids (Russel in the kitchen) Shari was loudly japping over his voice.
Ruby about visiting Chads school: "Not going to happen". - The hell lady, you have no actual day job. Move your ass and save what you can of that little runts upbringing.
It may also be better to read some educational books first before writing one...

She'd rather stuff hard boiled eggs and cheese down Eve's throat than make regular healthy meals. When she posts pictures on IG of what she's cooked for dinner, it always looks like it's meant for a family half the size.YouDunnoMe wrote:Is it any wonder that Eve isn't growing? Did she really say "not gonna happen" about going to a meeting about Chad? Wow. I actually hope the teachers see that so they can see how little she cares about her child's education. I can imagine what a martyr she would be if she had a child with serious special needs. "IEP meeting? Not gonna happen. I have to write my book about #mothersarepowerful"

Their plates are half full and made up of beige food. Where are the salad veggies and pulses etc? No wonder Shari and Eve are so small.

If it were just that then all the kids would be small for their ages. Granted some of them are but I think Shari especially just lucked out when it came to height genetics.ujvs_ wrote:Their plates are half full and made up of beige food. Also, haven't watched these guys for a while so am not up to date. Why isn't Eve at school? She's not pulling the same homeschooling scam with her like she did with Russell is she?
Re: 8 Passengers: No Rules & Private Schools | Part 9
Yes! And even if money would still be an issue: enough food for the kids should be one of the top priorities. We did not have a lot of money when I was a kid, but I always had a enough to eat.lmmomSD wrote: ↑Sat Feb 02, 2019 8:48 pmIt's not just Ruby. Ellie does the same thing. Not that long ago Kevin wrote something about how people think, that their older kids are so good raised/well behaved - so there is no need to worry about Eve. Well. I can not see Chad that way. He really needs a way more strict guidance. In a vlog a couple of weeks ago, Ruby had to stop him from doing this toilet/flush thing with Russell (before I have seen this only in american teenage series/movies, did not think, that is a real thing). To me even the thought is kind of horrible - I know, siblings tease each other and are sometimes also very rough with each other, but Chad is a teenager and should already have learned a better behaviour.
Re: 8 Passengers: No Rules & Private Schools | Part 9
Chad called her out again today: "I hate when you need something like clothes or shoes and then that's what you get for your birthday...." while Ruby is complaining that he is saying stuff like: "I need......my feet are too big".
I just CAN'T get over the fact that these kids aren't allowed to have fitting shoes when they need them. They don't make their feet grow fast or whatever. That's nature (or heavenly father)....

My mom would not get me adult sized shoes when I was too big for children’s sizes. My feet are damaged because of that. Bunions for both the big toe and pinky toe. My kids always wore proper fitting clothes and shoes, and you could watch two of my kids grow right before your eyes.lmmomSD wrote:But she's such an inspiration to mothers everywhere...LilaRose wrote:Chad called her out again today: "I hate when you need something like clothes or shoes and then that's what you get for your birthday...." while Ruby is complaining that he is saying stuff like: "I need......my feet are too big".

Re: 8 Passengers: No Rules & Private Schools | Part 9
Chad, IMO needs some anger management along with Russell and Ruby... honestly not sure if Kevin is the same way, but none of the 3 handle their anger very well. If any of you watch The Leroy's, you can see how Chad is constantly getting angry with Kesley, and hanging up on her over the tiniest of things, even things he's just done himself.. but, if Kesley does the same, it's NOT okay and he gets all mad and hangs up... then Kesley looks distraught and scared that he wont forgive whatever it was she said/did. Russell gets angry over every single thing... throws a tantrum. He's 7 years old... he is WAY past the tantrum stage... ans his bursts of anger only seem to get worse as time goes on. Ruby acts like she's all in control, but when she pulls the "I'll be back I need to turn off the camera a minute" and then comes back... the kids all look scared. What did she do? Yell at them or smack em? I wouldn't put it past her to smack them tbh. She just has no patience at all. She should never have had so many kids... 1 and done maybe 2. Which is sad to say because each of those kids can be amazing in their own way, if they had good loving parenting, and I wouldn't wish any of them to not be here. Ruby is an awful parent, and honestly, Kevin isn't much better.Acaena wrote: ↑Sun Feb 03, 2019 3:14 amYes! Re: 8 Passengers: No Rules & Private Schools | Part 9
Ellie talks often about how “sweet” her kids are to forgive her outbursts. I have no doubt this was how they were all raised as well. Jennifer probably raged on them all and then praised them for their ability to forgive and let it go. Trouble is, they probably didn’t forgive, and instead allowed those feelings of hurt and frustration to fester within themselves and are now incapable of handling their feelings, which leads to their own outbursts against their own children. Abused children often grow to become abusers. Sad that Ruby had to experience that in her own childhood, but she’s the parent now. She needs to get therapy, so she can do better by her own children and stop the pattern of emotional abuse.YouDunnoMe wrote:Chad, IMO needs some anger management along with Russell and Ruby... honestly not sure if Kevin is the same way, but none of the 3 handle their anger very well.
