So my 2 year old does have speech delay. I brought it up to her dr at the time when she was 18 months old and he completely blew me off so unfortunately we’re starting now. I feel guilty all the time I wish I would’ve been more stern but here we are. My daughter does talk she just doesn’t say many words. We called early intervention and they think I fell into the stay at home mom routine where you talk for your child. We’re getting placed with a speech therapist in a few weeks and the service coordinator Were working with really thinks this isn’t a big deal. In the mean time you better believe I am working non stop everyday to teach me daughter. Rachelle still baby talks to Emma and doesn’t seems to be working on her speech at all!

My question is, shes been using paper towels to clean her counters, kitchen, bathrooms etc....
Bruh tea towels and rags and microfiber cloths have existed for decades. This isn't you being proactive and environmentally friendly, it's her being an idiot.
Firstly I dont understand how some people survive into adulthood, and secondly I wonder what in the world her mother lead by example. Most people learn from their homes since they're children how to clean, even if they dont do it. Like, did her mom run a dirty gross household as well? Or are R and J just lazy

Lol she's definitely one of those people who use wet wipes to clean their house. She 100% does a deep clean of her floors with a swiffer wipe too.
Wait till she discovers ReUsAbLe plastic bags and maybe even the invention of this century - reusable diapers

I get you entirely, mama. My son is 2.5. I expressed concerns at 18 months and was dismissed. At 2, he had a review (in UK it’s standard at 1 and 2yo) and referred to speech therapy.
However, it wasn’t really speech therapy. It was a group session where the kids would play and we, as parents, we each spoken to individually and given tips and tricks to help.
He says a lot, but it’s hard to understand. ‘I love you’ is ‘ank oooo!’ It’s like his phonics just aren’t there.

Over here nothing gets really looked at until they are 3. So I have a son who gets very frustrated as he can’t tell you what he wants/needs/feels. I feel bad as a parent because I have treated him the same (if not more attention!) as my now 4.5yo daughter and she has flourished.

I’m a single parent and started working full time from November, so I can’t even implement what I want. He has a childminder so she does a lot of 1:1 with him and takes him to baby/toddler classes though.

I know this is horrendously off topic, but if you ever want to chat feel free to PM. An ocean between us doesn’t mean we don’t share the same frustrations!

Thank you so much for sharing your story with me. It’s such a tough time because as your son my daughter gets very frustrated. The women I’m working with have told me over and over that she’s gonna be just fine it’s just getting started is the hard part. It’s very frustrating that doctors don’t take our concerns seriously. The fact that you are a single parent working full time is incredible! You are so so strong. And always feel free to PM me as well. It’s always nice to talk to other mothers so we can support each other

I don’t understand why she bought that cabinet for the living room to put right next to the entertainment stand. First off, it doesn’t match anything besides the carpet and it is very rustic compared to the industrial feel of the entertainment center.

Also it’s just another cabinet to hold junk like the entertainment center. She says she’s trying to save, but all she does is keep wasting money on things to hold more shit just like the containers for the pantry that are only half filled.
