Well, he did just spend the weekend with Ellie, and she loves using that kiss emoji-- but in a kiss-off kinda way.
My daughter got airsick once, and if I had stuck a camera in her face and filmed her, and uploaded it to the internet with that as a thumbnail, she would have been very unhappy. And Gaines doesn't get a choice.

I think that goes along with the unfortunate reality that they REALLY are friends. Maybe they really think they will be friends forever and the kids will grow up around each other. I mean me and my best friend live 500 miles apart and I only get to see her a couple times a year at best. But I still hope that we will be friends for the rest of our lives. I've kinda come to terms with the whole they really must be friends for real idea. Yuck.

Ewwww. I guess that could be it. It just seems so forced.
My best friend and I have been BFFs since we were 6. We haven't lived in the same town in 40 years. Although we did live in the same state for a while. And I have other Navy wife friends that are scattered around the country, but we're all still close. The thing is, we don't go around yammering about how we're best friends. We just know it. I get that people can be lifelong friends. It's just the way they talk about it sounds fake and forced. Ellie always says her siblings are her best friends. Unless Katie and/or Missy is around.

Oh yeah i totallu agree with you there, i do not in the least think that Ellie or Missy are Katie's best friend. Its just like how happily married couples don't plaster how happy and in love they are on every thing 24/7.... if you have to prove it too yourself then its not so perfect.

That's exactly it. If you have to keep proving that you're madly in love, or in this case, "BFF's", there's something off about the relationship. No it's not _harmful_ exactly, to answer someone else's question, but it's disingenuous.

Yeah, whatever you do, don't put down their parenting in the vlog comments. Apparently, because they're not our kids, everything C&K (or any vlogger parents, tbh) choose to do is perfect, because they _are_ the parents. Nobody else even has a right to an opinion unless it's "You are the best parents ever!"

The thumbnail was definitely in poor taste, but I'd much rather see that than naked children or bloody/injured children, or something edited to make the child look seriously injured or extremely sick. And those are pretty common for some vloggers. I'll take this thumbnail over something like that anyday. It's not as bad as everyone is making it out to be. I like Cullen's smartass reply. And before I get labeled as a "minion", I'm far from it. I just know that people here are notorious for nitpicking.

I wouldn't call this nitpicking. We don't see much of Cullen in the vlog when he's sick. Why should Gaines be any different? Even when she's sick she has to carry the vlog because Mommy and Daddy can't do it on their own. That's kinda pathetic.

Yep-- the way they made fun of people who told them it was bad to feed ducks bread and then grabbed a whole loaf of white bread (which is bad for kids too, but that's another issue) and said "This is what we're feeding the ducks today! Ha, ha just kidding, before your heads explode!" And then proceeded to show screenshots of people telling them not to feed ducks bread.
God forbid you should ever doubt the infinite wisdom of a vlogger. They're perfectly happy with the "You're the best parents EVER! We love you so much!" comments, but even nicely worded constructive criticism is derided. And I know it's not just Cullen and Katie that respond this way. There are very few vloggers who can handle any kind of criticism. Which is funny, because they are the ones choosing to put themselves out there.

My friend has siblings, and they are their aunts and uncles too, but so am I. They are 3 and 7 now and I don't think they even realize the difference. I am literally the oldest's emergency contact at school and listed as aunt.

But it doesn't sound like that title was given lightly. It's only been the past few months that they're doing the Uncle and Aunt thing. We have a close friend who was the first person besides me and my ex to old my daughter-- the kids have called him Uncle B forever. He also was listed as an emergency contact and approved "picker upper".We called our godparents Aunt and Uncle-- but again, those were real, very close friendships, not ones based on using each other for views. Because even if they really are friends, that's how it all started. Business.
Totally on another topic, I just think it's ironic that the people who defend vloggers and say _we_ "need to get a life", are usually ones who are haunting the comments page, answering questions as if they know the vloggers and their reasons for acting certain ways, and responding to comments quickly.

Is it cynical to say if they're making this job that they need to upload on time? If this was a 9-5 job and didn't meet deadlines they would get in trouble with their bosses. I understand life happens,but I think upload times should be consistent. I understand about being late on Holidays though.
