Curious where you live? It’s very common in the US in my experience. The CDC (centers for disease control) recommends everyone gets one.

I thought their original title or whatever you call it said something about flu shots. Now it says Dr visit. Did they do a switcheroo or am I imagining this? There seemed to be alot of comments about them having the mist and not shots so I thought they might have changed the title to avoid being questioned more.
You're not crazy. The old title was "Flu Shot" with a check mark.
Edit: my bad. The check mark was on IG. But the title did say something about flu _shots_.

Thank you for verifying. I was kind of looking forward to seeing them get shots because of the way they usually meltdown at the doctor anyway, so I knew it was in the title at one point.

Definitely not defending them because they are morons. My pediatrician office does give flu shots to parents of patients but we do have sign something.

The flu kills children. The flu kids healthy adults.
Now I know different countries have different vaccine schedules and as far as I'm aware the flu shot isn't mandatory anywhere in the US but it is recommended for everyone over six months.
I used to think the chicken pox vaccine was silly but now the greater risk is antibiotic resistant skin infections things like MRSA secondary to the chicken pox which are more concerning. Maybe the risks are different in your country. IDK.

They probably noticed how their PussyCatDaddy startled a bit after the nurse gave him the first squirt and he said Is that it or That's it? What was he expecting? A force so strong it would knock his head back? What an imbecilic baby. Normally, I would never throw shade on kids but for some reason these four are so irritating. If it was another kid I would likely feel empathy for them being scared at the doctor. But this group as a whole I just generally don't feel that way about. I envision the cats being about 10 years old and crying at an appointment and being picked up and carried out one in each arm by Trash and GarbageMan.
Same here. They're probably also crying because any time they do cry, they ALWAYS get what they want in one way or another. Learned behavior. Oh if I cry and put up a stink, mommy or daddy will give me something I want. (Along the lines of sweets and toys). Especially since they don't know how to share. One kid gets something, the others will pitch a fit until they get something they want. All because of how they have been raised (taught). They know that's what works.
They did it all the wrong way around. Especially Trash pinning one cat down, then they attempted to hold a heavy down on the bed.
“If you behave and dont pitch a fit when we go to the doctors we will open a few packages when we get home”
Was it Indie who didnt cry? She should have been rewarded, not the brats. Im a firm believer of not rewarding bad/negative behaviour. Especially what they had done wasn’t traumatic or scary. Id have told my kids to suck it up, praise them for being good.
We spend time talking to our kids prior to any big event, including doctors appointments (more so if shots are required), talk them through what is going to happen, what we do before and after, and what good behaviour is rewarded with. In fact we discuss expectations for anything out of the norm. We talk and talk. My husband is due for surgery in a week and we have discussed it in length with the kids (he will be in hospital for 10-14 days afterwards and “out of action” (biking, work etc) for 6-8 weeks). The kids know exactly whats going on and have had plenty of opportunities to process and ask questions.
Start treating your infants/preschoolers like people and realise they have feelings and emotions. Talk talk talk.

You also can't get shingles if you've never had chicken pox. And shingles is no fun.
Mumps can lead to mumps encephalitis. I took care of a little boy who had it and went from a vibrant, active little boy to a perpetually seizing vegetable with a feeding tube. So sad.
Just my soapbox. Sorry.
Yes, getting the flu vaccine is a good idea.
I just watched the Chatwins vlog and Darik said he did his 2 year mission trip to Argentina. He said it made him a man. One can only wonder if a mission trip would have done the same for Tybaby.

Speaking of missions. We know that Tubs didn’t go one one. Does anyone know if Branden Bighead went on one?

So, I really don’t know what happens when slop is thrown into a pig pen but the fan mail thing reminded me of that. They are the worst children led of course by their babysitters. I agree, shame on those who continue to send them crap. The kitchen came from Germany. That must have cost a fortune to send.
Anybody notice when Fatcat was telling us what he had packed for the cats lunches he said he likes red apples. Trashley doesn’t. He said it as if there is only one type of red apple on this earth. What an idiot!
Their pediatrician must be the worst. Giving Fatcat and and the Witch their flu mist. Law suit. But they are like children so maybe the dr. Figures it’s ok.
Again, I hope that Sister wife has decided on her own that she is done with the vlogging.
I’m not at all white knighting for them, but this year when I took my twins to get their flu shot at their pediatrician, the doctor said there was a new program and that I could get my flu shot there as long as my name popped up on the trihealth system. My doctor is in trihealth so I got the shot there. I was shocked, but pleased.
Just watched the Halloween vlog and those girls have clearly not been taught about stranger danger. I was amazed that they just walked right into people's houses and were not corrected or taught that you knock and wait on the porch. I had trick or treaters younger than them stop by home and no one of them tried to walk in my door and they all said thank you.

New Zealand
Can confirm - also from NZ and have never had a flu shot. Neither have my 4 children aged 6-15
This must have been incredibly scary and awful for Indie and i wish her a speedy recovery. But to post something on social media would be the furthest thing from my mind at such a time.
So they waited for family to come stay with the girls and for ashleys mum to come to drive them to the hospital?? Eh? Sorry but if my child was struggling to breathe and was turning blue id be calling an ambulance or driving them myself while my husband waited for someone to come sit with the kids - or run next door and ask a neighbor to come to the house. Flippen ridiculous.
Also wouldnt put it past them to exaggerate the truth on all of it and it being “the worst case” etc.
Whats the deal with going to one hospital and being taken to another? Is one just a medical centre?
