With all due respect, can someone not think its a bit weird to look at that information without you all going overboard on them? I too think it’s a bit weird to look at the house payments but that’s my opinion. Given the situation, I think someone should be allowed to find that bit odd.

The whole reason it’s public record is so that people can check that information. If it was considered creepy to most it wouldn’t be public record. It’s not like I went to the court house and got the documents. I searched “Florida public records” and typed in her name. All it says is whether someone has a mortgage under their name and history of property tax. Most of this information is literally listed on sites like Zillow. The only difference is since this was through the Florida page it also listed if the person had paid their property taxes hence why I found out they hadn’t. Her name is posted on the Florida newspaper website for not paying them as well. If you don’t pay your property taxes they post your name everywhere in hopes of getting you to pay. That’s just how it works. Don’t want people to see that information then pay your taxes and it’s as simple as that

And that’s fine. I get that. My comment was just about people responding harshly to one person saying they found it creepy. It is public information so you do have every right to do that. I still do think that that person can be allowed to find it weird without others jumping on them. I think that person and myself found it a bit odd because it has to do with personal information such as the house but as you said, it is public and anyone can look at it.
