It basically is! I’ve seen lots of ppl use them. It’s actually a good idea. Because you can take your mask and have it around neck and worry about putting it down some places dirty. Around me lots of school kids have them.

Our schools requested them as well. I think they’re great. My kids just slip the mask off when it’s lunch time and they won’t get them lost or soiled.

I definitely think he’s old enough to have a phone.
If he’s old enough to be out and about without his parents he’s old enough for a phone. If he’s old enough to babysit his siblings, he’s old enough to have a phone.
If your child is going to have a phone then you teach them how to use it. You outline what you see is acceptable use of the phone and you trust them to do use it appropriately.
You don’t give him a phone which will prevent him viewing certain images etc. If he really wants to do that, there are other ways he can. You teach him about why he shouldn’t do it and how it is disrespectful to girls and women. Education is the key here - not just pretending an issue dues to exist.
Of course at his age, it is your responsibility to monitor his usage of the phone. So, you give him the phone in the full understanding that you will be doing so. You give him rules and boundaries and you trust him to use the phone accordingly and you check that he is doing so.
Your child is afforded the privilege of having a phone and they learn important lessons about trust and how to respect it.
As they get older, your monitoring of the phone use becomes less.

I just think that if Ryler is old enough and mature enough to babysit his 3 younger siblings he's probably old enough to have an actual phone. I mean he already has a tablet and a Chromebook I just don't see how either would be much different from a smart phone. Plus the kid has an Apple watch too.

It says a lot about their subscribers. These idiots give more money to them on a normal every day YouTube live. The fact that they gave less when it was going to charity is sad.

I think it’s important to note that a large portion of this family’s following is children, therefore they are unable to donate. Also people that live internationally or miss the live wouldn’t be able to donate (i believe you can’t donate after the live has finished). I may not agree with everything the family does, but i must admit my respect and tolerance for them increases every time they donate and give back to the community. I know this is a snark site but it’s just not right to bash them for the faults of their viewers.

I admit to being really moved when they did the massive Costco haul for the women's shelter - it was very well thought out and well planned (kind of made me think that the planning of it was done by someone else, or someone else had major input into it?). Most of their other "giving back" type stuff seems to be more about content + views (+ therefore money for them though).

The thing is though. They vlog every single time they donate, therefore making money on the vlog content which would more than cover the cost of the donation.

Its dodgy. If you donate that’s brilliant, no need to do it publicly like they do. Standing at a supermarket handing out cash while vlogging it is gross. People accept the money and therefore end up in their vlogs.

Genuine people who give/donate dont need arsepats from teenagers

I had to laugh in the last vlog when Mindy gushed " and HAZY helped me do the last donation!" and Brexsen piped up out of the corner "and me!"

But they get more in donations when they are getting ready to go to Hawaii, or doing lives around Christmas time, when _they_ are the ones benefitting.
I could be wrong, but I think that was what OP was mentioning.

Exactly. This isn’t a matter of their audience base being younger. Their audience base simply donates more money to them when there isn’t a good cause attached. Period. We’ve seen people donate copious amounts of money to them on a random Sunday just to be mentioned live. But that trend didn’t continue when they planned to donate to charity.

So, I’m not 100% sure on this, but in today’s vlog Branden said that they aren’t hosting anyone this year because they alternate and this year was Mindy’s parents year and they decided to do their own thing.
The thing is I’m almost certain that last year it was mindy’s parents year as well... Branden was smoking a turkey for the first time and Mindy’s mom brought another because she thought he would fail? Wasn’t that last year?
My point being, the Bingham family hasn’t really gotten together recently, maybe there was some kind of falling out and they are trying to hide it?

There’s for sure something going on. Definitely between the Hollands and TIHWB. They don’t interact at all. Other than bringing them free drinks the other day, they don’t spend any time together. Mindy and Lindsey once claimed to be best friends. Maybe Mindy is upset that they found new friends. It’s strange. They only see Michelle for photos. And Jared only interacts with them when he tags them on IG in hopes of getting an @ so their followers will go to their page. He’s a major coattail rider.

Were any of the rest of the Bingham clan in the Costco haul for the women's shelter? Possibly Mana Jo (or whatever they call her?). I remember during that vlog Mindy talked about having the people there who believed in them (or something along those lines), rather than people who tore them down? Perhaps she was throwing major shade on the Bingham family because something had happened?

The only ones there from his family were Michelle and Daniel and I think that was for their videography and photography services. Otherwise they probably wouldn’t have invited them.

And of course Princess Hazy is front and center in the thumbnail even though the _family_ is supposed to be decorating.

Why does that bother you just because you stopped believing by the age of 12? Maybe he still believes. So what? Or maybe he doesn’t and is doing it for his younger siblings. Wouldn’t they think it was weird if he wasn’t writing a letter? Maybe he doesn’t want to ruin the magic for his siblings so he still plays along. That would make him a good big brother in my book.
