DailyExcuses - Part #94
Re: DailyExcuses - Part #94
What the hell was that "vlog" today? Ollie basically used his wand to turn his family into furries.
The nicest thing I can say about their new intro is that is much shorter than the last one. Thank god for that!

New intro is up for anyone who's interested. It's short and to the point. At the beginning of the vlog, Missy and Bryan were discussing the new intro. You definitely won't want to miss the part when Missy accidentally calls their vlogs a show! She corrects herself though. Makes me wonder if they realize what they have turned into and if this is who they want to be vs. becoming this way because the money brought them here.
DailyExcuses - Part #94
New intro isn't anything notable. Pretty much the same old, same old (despite Missy claiming that it's thuper different) - just shorter with the new song. Everyone looked fake except Finn...a lot of open-mouth, show-the-tonsils smiles, because OMG WE ARE SO HAPPY AND OUR LIFE IS SO AWESOME, YOU GUYS! Missy always looks like she's getting ready for a throat culture, and Bryan like he's about to inhale an entire pizza in one gulp.
The rest of the vlog was just Ollie wandering around with a wand, mumbling unintelligible lines and turning everyone into animals. (Bryan clearly did some more late-night, alcohol-induced Amazon Priming.) If there was ever any question as to Ollie's ability to act and repeat lines correctly, I think this settles it. Ollie is no future Disney Channel star.
Of course I had to scope things out on Amazon to see how much Bryan spent (6 masks, $50 each ). The masks are called "Big Fat Heads"...silly Bryan, you didn't need to go to Amazon for that! You already have one.

Re: DailyExcuses - Part #94
Ive decided from here own out, i'm not watching an vlog of theirs that i can tell from the thumbnail or title that it's going to be a toy vlog or a skit or anything more than just a regular old vlog. I cannot stand how they try to be actors and they ALL SUCK SO BADLY at it. Even Bryan and Missy fucking suck at making scripted lines seem real. I'm so tired of their fake BS!! All i want is regular life vlogs to snark at! Sure they probably will lose all of about 5 cents month on me not watching but i have to do my part, as little as it might be.
Re: DailyExcuses - Part #94
Agreed. Today's vlog was definitely a "show" with costumes and a wand and some special effects. They're definitely maximizing the kid's channel factor.yoyo16 wrote:New intro is up for anyone who's interested. It's short and to the point. I hate all the open mouth smiles in the new intro but I especially dislike Missy's at the end of the intro in their group shot. She just looks really awkward.

I really wish they would be honest if they don't want to vlog every single anymore and make a separate skit/toy channel and vlog channel...it's not a vlog if it's 90% skit with 2 minutes of actual footage.Playsinrain wrote:Ive decided from here own out, i'm not watching an vlog of theirs that i can tell from the thumbnail or title that it's going to be a toy vlog or a skit or anything more than just a regular old vlog. I could understand 100% of what Oliver said and he was actually animated and seemed to enjoy doing the skit... his speech is definitely improving.cat9480 wrote:New intro isn't anything notable. Re: DailyExcuses - Part #94
I watched the intro, nothing special, thank god it's shorter and bryan's screeching seems minimal. I watched the little blurb that Missy and Bryan spewed about the intro and the first bit of Ollie turning Finn into a cat and turned that fake BS off. Cat9480 you were spot on. It's nothing but a poorly done skit with Ollie mumbling things you cant even understand. Stop trying so hard to make Ollie an actor, it's NEVER going to work. (also, anyone else annoyed that Bryan or Missy made messes just so Ollie had to clean them up? It was so obvious that the legos and goldfish were dumped there just for the skit. Clean your own shit assholes!

What in the fuck did Ollie say before the new intro started?

Re: DailyExcuses - Part #94
He is definitely improving, you are right. I just had a lot of trouble understanding him on this one. I know this has been said several times before...but I really think it has a lot to do with parroting lines vs. speaking naturally. The times that he struggles with pronunciation or he leaves words out (like today: "I'm so much...trouble." instead of "I'm in so much trouble.") almost always seem to be when they are feeding him lines to say. Ending the vlogs is a perfect example. Yes, it's absolutely better than he was doing before, but he still struggles an awful lot for someone who has heard his parents repeating those same 4 or 5 sentences from birth! I don't think a new viewer could make out much of his ending - we can because we are so used to it.MommaLindsey2 wrote: I could understand 100% of what Oliver said and he was actually animated and seemed to enjoy doing the skit... his speech is definitely improving.

And I also agree that he looked like he was having a good time. Which is great, but I'm still rolling my eyes at Bryan for putting together these contrived little skits and advertisements and having the whole family attempt to act - and then calling it daily vlogging. If he wants a kids channel, he should just make a kids channel!

OMG so much secondhand embarrassment at how fake and awkward the group shot is at the end of the intro

Re: DailyExcuses - Part #94
I agree the skit was lame and I hate that this is turning into a kids channel. They should honestly just make a separate channel for skits and toy videos. They would make tons of money from it due to kids watching it on the YouTube kids app. I hate to admit it but my almost 4 year old was glued to my phone yesterday while they are were making pancakes.cat9480 wrote:He is definitely improving, you are right. I wonder if they will still share so much information when Missy gets pregnant again and show as much as they have in the past during the birth vlogs.

First 10 seconds of the vlog: Missy washing up and telling Ollie he better be cleaning up... more and more proof the vlogs are works of fiction

Re: DailyExcuses - Part #94
Fin with the cat head was cute.
Is this the fourth time they've personally used the outdoor kitchen? Seems over kill for damn fajitas.
Also, im getting more of a hippie vibe than native American.. Those two are the last people on earth I'd picture as hippies. Could you picture missy or bryan back in their high school days traveling with any hippie bands for weeks.. Not me

Was this an ad for the heads, the goldfish crackers, or the wand?
And the entire furry family chasing Oliver and huddling over his bed is nightmare fuel.
